Pressure washer is just the pre-soak I prefer a foaming soap for that. I get what you’re saying, but Rinseless as the contact wash saves me from having to rinse a second time. So the contact wash is rinseless All depends on the dirt level if it’s pretty clean you don’t need the pre-soak or rinse and go straight to the rinseless. Plus the polymers help lubricate during the drying step so you don’t need a drying aid.
Final step is where you don’t rinse as this is more of a hybrid wash for a car with lots of grit on it to minimize any marring. If the car isn’t that dirty then you can skip that step.
Hmmmmm Doesn’t rinseless save more time because of less steps taken to achieve a clean car? So wouldn’t that support the question of rinseless versus foam wash?
Besides the final rinse after a mitt wash, where is the water savings? I foam, rinse, hand wash, rinse and dry. It honestly takes me a minute to rinse a car clean after the mitt wash.
Depends on your process, situation and how dirty the car is. So many ways to do it like you said an apartment where you actually use the keg pressure to help knock off the grit. I myself save a lot of time by not doing that final rinse and drying the car with a leaf blower. With rinseless there is much less water on the car so it’s easier to dry and far less dripping coming out of the crevices and mirrors. You don't have to do final rinse (~5 minutes) but you do have to dry (~15 minutes + light scratches and marring even when using "drying aid"). Plus rinseless barely does anything as pre-treat. For me the way to go is: 1. Pre-treat with an actual touchless wash, rinse with tap water and actually remove all dirt. 2. Foam again with pH neutral soap with extreme lubrication such as turtle wax pure wash 3. Go over ths whole car in a few minutes with only one or two mitts as all you need is removing traffic film now. 4. Rinse with deionized water. Enjoy! No need for leaf blower if you don't feel like it. The car will be just fine and spotless, that's the whole point of using deionized water. It's more expensive but so satisfying works like magic! Can wash the car in 20 minutes.

If it works for you no need to change anything. It saves me a full rinse after the contact wash and you don't have to worry about any soap residue especially when in the sun. I never really did 2 bucket I have always kept a clean bucket of soap with multiple microfibers and I save the soap water for the next wash.
