Im about to stack my ‘00 zf6 speed on a 6 inch RC lift with the 06’ front end all color matched white sitting on 7s and 6s. Been wanting to do mine for 2 years, Im going to try and fabricate a 4inch up pipe off the turbo. The velocity stack inspired me, Im going to fabricate a dodecagon and throw a 30 degree cut on it!
Love the fact you showed the misconceptions. That was the main reason I was afraid to pull the trigger! I think now I may be doing that to my 6.0 😎

It took me 4 mechanics and a 8hr drive to Florida to get that exhaust flange on right I'm never messing with it again.

I can promise you those map line fitting on your y pipe are definitely leaking they all do. Get some work clamps
