I 💯 agree! How much is enough. I disagree with this video. It’s becoming more frequent with the opioid addiction. A lot of reason can be if you’re going through an agency.
Given the track record of the nation's foster care system, why is reunification always the goal? How is that in the best interests of the child to be in foster care rather than finding permanency?
Adopting a baby from foster care is difficult in my state because the goal of foster care is reunification so they are trying to do every single thing to get the parents back to the child. Then even if the parents don’t follow the plan, they look for someone else n the family to take the child even before the foster parent that may have them.
Thank you for this information. I've watched your channel several times since I started doing foster care. I thought you made an interesting statement towards the end about some judges. I have some biases and I'm not even a judge lol! But truly, there are some very difficult people out there fostering - even though I know they mean well, they can be overbearing.
Yeah, my husband and I have been thinking about it for years, though we haven't heavily researched it yet. We have an 8 month old and, while we're not in any hurry, we want to grow our family by at least one more.
In my experience if you want to adopt a child and make sure the parents cannot be a concern of “reunification” you just need to convince the child that they are trans. If the parent falls for the trap and won’t affirm them then bang….you get the kid.
Thanks for watching! What are your thoughts about the reasons why it's so hard to adopt a baby from foster care?
Reunification makes sense up to a point, but ONLY up to a point.

The workers get bonuses for adoptions.

Yes I completely agree. Thank you for stepping up and being a foster parent!
Thank you for these videos! Very informative and helpful. :)
You are so welcome! Are you thinking about adoption?

What the actual fuck
The fact that you said "In my experience" is actually extremely funny and sad at the same time.
