U.S. citizens may enter Portugal for up to 90 days for tourism or business without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay.
As the United States is one of the visa-exempt countries for Europe, American citizens do not currently require a visa for the Schengen Area for short stays up to 90 days.

Is health insurance and lease agreement is needed for applying or after approval of 4 months visa and before leaving for portugal?
Yes, it’s needed before applying. It’s part of the documents required. However, if you’re applying as a remote worker, you don’t need lease agreement. I have a video about how you can get lease agreement with a discount. You can check it out.

Hello ma, your video was quite informative. Kudos. However, I have just one question about D7 Visa. I live in Lagos and have researched so many info about D7. Ma, from your findings or experience in Portugal is it a requirement to open a bank account in Portugal and move my savings to that bank account when applying for D7?
D7 visa is in different category. It depends on the category you are applying for.
However, if you’re coming in as an employee of your company in your country, you don’t need Nif or account opening.
For more information, you can contact The Portuguese Embassy in your country for more information.

You only need it for your visa application and if you’ve submitted it already, then that’s all.

@@ayodeleenebi8275 The minimum wage in Portugal got increased recently. At the moment, it’s 705 euros. Therefore, if you earn 705 euros monthly after tax, you can apply for a D7 visa.
