    You're right, things like string elasticity, spin, and airflow are even more variables in this thing. String elasticity changes over time and wouldn't be something you could control.

    Just looking at the wireframe, the amount of polys is staggering for something like this. It's truly a testament to Lytle and the crew's dedication to creating progressive musical experiences accessible to any age, combining elements of prog rock, techno, and multiple other genres.

      He probably is hinting at the experiences people with Autism, high functioning or not, have. I'm borderline Asperger's... So, a limited version of an already "limited" Autism.
      I know I can't fully understand his words, BUT my experiences with my Asperger-fueled differences (compared to an average neurotypical response/experience/etc) have shown me that there are very, very different ways (not to mention MANY of these different ways exist!) people with Autism understand themselves, their relationships with everyone (including themselves), their interests, their thoughts and communications, and much more.

    The "non rendered" is called wireframe, easy to render in 3D Max (Preview Animation, with full quality). The "three-way split" is most likely done in a composition software, like After Effects, where you can mask parts of the three videos as rectangles, and select what to show.

      PCgamer090 Impossible..., if you where planing to make a device that works exactly like that cone ended pipe that throws the balls on the drums and such.

    • @anjagoller
      @anjagoller 6 років тому +12

      This is not exactly possible, at least not without alterations. You can't have one pipe throwing a ball in different directions as in the drum and the vibraphone section. You'd have to build more ball-throwers, one for each thing you want to hit. And you can't hit a string with a ball like this. I will probably not hit the funnel but fly anywhere. There has to be a little guidance.
      The swedish band Wintergatan built a machine like this, with marbles.

    • @theotherhive
      @theotherhive 6 років тому +19

      tell that to wintergatan. lol

    • @anjagoller
      @anjagoller 6 років тому +3

      @Pi-Fi: I don't know, if you mean me... Wintergatan did all the things differently, that wouldn't work if realized like the pipe dream. They have one marble-channel for each sound and they have guides where the marbles hit the strings.
      The IBM thing is somehow nice to watch, but these are still artificial sounds. Would have been more impressive if they used real instruments...

    @SuperBlueHedgehog The question was whether or not it would be plausible to create this device in reality or whether it would be something more of a nightmare to try and crate it. I was simply stating that the technology does exist, the possibility does exist to create this machine, but the variables involved would be a pure nightmare given that the whole thing would have to be entirely static, meaning no differential at all. It's all about the possibilities.

    @snugglebunnie1717 I was thinking more in terms of the pressure used to launch the balls, not the air in the supposed chamber itself. The whole device is plausible, but not feasable, because the logistics would be a nightmare in keeping up with it. If it didn't depend on the launchers (and the air to use them), then, maybe, it'd be more likely, but they're an important part of the system. No, using CG for it is the best way.
