to say that i saw that on TV, as a kid. Still brings back memories, and i was amazed, i thought it was a real instrument too XD
ah yes t6he wintergartan
Same
It was, but it was for the first one (Made by Intel in 2011)
@@josephheintzel3354 it did become a real instrument thanks to intel, but that thing aired BEFORE 2011.
Did you see it on DVD?
The thing I like most about animusic is when you think it's over, it isn't :)
Now it is 😢
@@Stratiis sad times
You're right, things like string elasticity, spin, and airflow are even more variables in this thing. String elasticity changes over time and wouldn't be something you could control.
1:12 im expecting the chimes to make its solo but yeah its just one hit 😅

I'm sick In bed for about 4 days but when I listened to this music I'm kind'a feeling better and I'm 8yrs old
It's so cool to see the behind the scenes. This stuff would have been pure magic to kid me.
Just looking at the wireframe, the amount of polys is staggering for something like this. It's truly a testament to Lytle and the crew's dedication to creating progressive musical experiences accessible to any age, combining elements of prog rock, techno, and multiple other genres.
Lol the balls just appear and disappear as they come in/out of the pipes.
Ah, the animation world.
+Joshua Vo you can agree that someone is using portal technology for the balls
Josh V um actually they don’t disappear they going to other pipes pay attention to the main instrument
Well, yeah, as soon as they're out of sight, there's no reason for them to exist.
@@jaytekk9 yeah you don't get it.
@@jaytekk9 yeah
really awesome, I can't imagine how much work must go into something like this. Really Nice !!!!!!!
Everybody gangsta 'til Animusic gets access to super secret settings.
I remember seeing the original when it came out. but this bonus feature is EPIC. The Tri Screen split blows my mind.
I am thinking how great this would be for Autistic children. I have Aspergers, but for non verbal kids I think it would be amazing.
thewr0ngchild Why...?
Yeah, why autistic kids specifically? Good for any kid.
Same bro! Music can entertain any kind of autistic/aspie kid.
I have Asperger’s and I LOVE Music in most cases. I love this stuff, and I’m a musician too!
He probably is hinting at the experiences people with Autism, high functioning or not, have. I'm borderline Asperger's... So, a limited version of an already "limited" Autism.
I know I can't fully understand his words, BUT my experiences with my Asperger-fueled differences (compared to an average neurotypical response/experience/etc) have shown me that there are very, very different ways (not to mention MANY of these different ways exist!) people with Autism understand themselves, their relationships with everyone (including themselves), their interests, their thoughts and communications, and much more.
This video is gonna be 10 years old soon... damn
Such awesome music! I have it on my MP3 player and listen to it all the time!
The "non rendered" is called wireframe, easy to render in 3D Max (Preview Animation, with full quality). The "three-way split" is most likely done in a composition software, like After Effects, where you can mask parts of the three videos as rectangles, and select what to show.
Someone understands the computer rendering and physics.
Except I don't know what I'm talking about.
:)
Your creativity, imagination and talent are unbelievable! What a gift you all have! Thanks for sharing and awakening the childlike wonderment of Christmas morning!
My favorite special feature! I wish more of the songs had this, instead of being a one-off. When I was very young, I was so fascinated by it. I knew it was supposed to explain how it was made, but I was just mystified even more. Coming back to it now, I finally understand what I’m seeing, and it’s incredibly rewarding.
every time i watch animusic, it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up
ÉNORMISSIME !!!! MAGNIFIQUE !!!! Super bien Orchestré !!! BRAVO !!!
i loveeeeeeeee everyone of these that you do...amazing.
now thats 3D Animation for ya....AMAZING, AWESOME....BRILLIANT...MIND BLOWING PIECE OF WORK...
the animation is incredible, great work guys!!!
Is this modelling vs. textures? I can appreciate what Animusic is, but this is really, really awesome!
It's modeling v. Materials v. Textures & lighting
Nice song! I dance to it all the time! it really gets me active!
0:42 my favorite part
A Cole 1:46 for me
I love this. Loved number one as well.
This is bound to make anyone smile. :)
Beautiful!!!!
The Ending is terrific!
Bloody fantastic. This must have taken hours and hours to make. LOL, I can't help wondering (and I'm sure others have thought the same) if it would be possible to construct a 'real life' one of these. Imagine the amount of solenoids/servos/hydraulics LOL.
This is preatty amazing, this is very impressive. That's preatty cool that they can do that.
I am so IN AWE of your incredible MINDS..... (Oh...and the music a fantastic too...lol)
I wish I could favorite this many times:D
I liked the first pipe dream better and I am just saying that because I grew up with this song. It was the first animusic song that I learned
Весёлая, ритмичная музыка и супер 👍 классное видео. Спасибо 🙏 вам огромное, за такую прелесть. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
imagine trying to make this in real life lol
PCgamer090 Impossible..., if you where planing to make a device that works exactly like that cone ended pipe that throws the balls on the drums and such.
This is not exactly possible, at least not without alterations. You can't have one pipe throwing a ball in different directions as in the drum and the vibraphone section. You'd have to build more ball-throwers, one for each thing you want to hit. And you can't hit a string with a ball like this. I will probably not hit the funnel but fly anywhere. There has to be a little guidance.
The swedish band Wintergatan built a machine like this, with marbles.
tell that to wintergatan. lol
@Pi-Fi: I don't know, if you mean me... Wintergatan did all the things differently, that wouldn't work if realized like the pipe dream. They have one marble-channel for each sound and they have guides where the marbles hit the strings.
The IBM thing is somehow nice to watch, but these are still artificial sounds. Would have been more impressive if they used real instruments...
yeah
This is what I loved about this series was this specific video
This one is an insite..Outrageous!💪
For some reason this song just exudes motivation. It's curb-stomping my executive dysfunction right now.
This is so good.
Wow, awesome ... love it, please make more guys, my Granddaughter thinks it's fab too and she is only 2yrs old.
Wonderful chord progressions.
Love the fantasy acrylic colors -- do the whole thing in those pls!
Very cool !!!!
this really makes me wonder how these videos would look with modern PBR rendering technologies...
MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST PIPE DREAM!
#True.
Who remove my reply “No way this is better than first pipe dream”
I will pantty that person

I have never seen something like this....
I can't find the most appropriate words....
maybe...fantastic??
so so so so so so so cool
Well done!
this sounds very "Spyro The Dragon". i love Animusic.
I like this.
too cool! keep it up!
The way Animusic does its music is amazing. Fuck live-action music videos which might mostly be crap, the way that Animusic does this is epic.
1:01 - 1:15 is just mah favorite part it sounds so good! RARG
What great music
woww amazing beatiful
I would love to see one of these actually working
I love the music.
Reminds me of Sim City :)
I luv it wen the Drums come in..
reminds me of spyro music :3
I can only begin to imagine how long this must have taken.
I like the beginning of the first one better but I like this piece better. Really creative composing given the boundaries set by the machine itself.
Hmm, almost would've expected the transparent view to show the balls moving trough the pipes. otherwise, a magnificent piece :D
This is very cool
Very cool...
the perfect music machine...
JUST WOW ♡♤♡...
This was very close to the day i was born. To bad there werent any videos on september. Olwell i geuss

OMG he hasn't posted a video in ages!!
this was posted 1 year after I was born!!
That's true. But a while ago, I got an email forwarded to me with the title "Amazing machine", and it had the original Pipe Dream video attached. Apparently, people who didn't know about Animusic thought it was a real machine and were forwarding that email around.
me encantaaaaaaaaa¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Great
Stranger: so what kind of music do you like?
Me: um well........
I like this more than first, animation and better music too; it's excellent!
Genius
Imagine the ball budget.
Joe Stribrny Steal it from a kid's ball pit.
Over $2341
No need, used balls are being redirected to the feeder.
Cool.
I LOVE THE ANIMATIONS AND THE FUNKY MUSIC!!! AniMusic is the BEST THING that ever happened to music and animations!!! If you have not listened to very many AniMusic songs, you should A.S.A.P.!
Nice dream!

this is fucking awesome !!!
Love this music do you have it in a CD for a car or home I would love to listen to it in my car 🙋♀️🐱🐶🐶🦋
The original animusics were DVD’s so I guess you could if your car has a DVD player

the vibraphone fountain looks like a flower its cool
yo, this shit was thing watch back elementary school. Everytime the teacher pulled this out, everyone would go apeshit and request it all the time to listen to in music class. Ahhh...the days back then.
@Ben9263Thurber
Very true... I agree
@SuperBlueHedgehog The question was whether or not it would be plausible to create this device in reality or whether it would be something more of a nightmare to try and crate it. I was simply stating that the technology does exist, the possibility does exist to create this machine, but the variables involved would be a pure nightmare given that the whole thing would have to be entirely static, meaning no differential at all. It's all about the possibilities.
they should have something like this in a museum.
@TIwdaym i like it too!!
Du génie.
sweeeet
This should be realtime!
@snugglebunnie1717 I was thinking more in terms of the pressure used to launch the balls, not the air in the supposed chamber itself. The whole device is plausible, but not feasable, because the logistics would be a nightmare in keeping up with it. If it didn't depend on the launchers (and the air to use them), then, maybe, it'd be more likely, but they're an important part of the system. No, using CG for it is the best way.
I want to see version 3
