- This episode of the documentary series includes the untold short stories of Pakistan Movement from 1857 to 1905.
Shaan Shahid takes us back to the very beginning of the story of Pakistan. The events that unfolded in the aftermath of the War of Independence 1857, in fact laid the foundation for the Pakistan Movement.
The narrated stories include:
Tragic end of the Mughal Empire.
Imprisonment of Bahadur Shah Zafar.
Brutalities of the British Raj.
Critical role played by Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan to save the Muslims from becoming pawns in a bigger political game.

After partition India remained secular , muslims were not only given equal status they also were appeased (one famous statement of Gandhi ji was that "Muslims in India should be given the first right on the resources of the country" [why? I don't understand, in a secular country everbody should be treated equal]). So this was the theme of the Congress / other Governments till May 2014.. Muslims in India got used to appeasement !! there is no triple talaq system in Pakistan but it is there in India - why? - to appease the Muslim men... Lot of examples of appeasement including subsidy for Haj (no subsidy to any other religion to visit their pilgrimage spots) ... now , when equality is coming and Muslims loosing some of their "priviledge" , some ignorant people are calling it "Islamophobia"/Fasism/etc. etc..
In fact Muslims in India are safer, no bomb blasts in mosques , no slogans like "Shia Kafir" , Ahmadis aren't wajib e qutl... there is respect for Indian muslims , the Rafale fighter jets from France were received by Indian Ambassador (Muslim gentlemen) and of the first batch of 5 aircrafts, one was flown by Muslim IAF pilot.... Foreign youtubers come for a vacation and get gang raped on the streets. I am a pakistani and i know where my country laggs and is weak at, but at all costs I am glad religion here is not forced upon anyone or riots as big as the gujrat riots happen here.

People think Pakistan came into existence in 1947 but the reality is that the story goes back to the outcome of the Indian War of Independence 1857
that was bharat not pakistan, which came into existence on 14 aug 1947 before there was no nation like pakitan that was india whole indian subcontinent.
This documentary must be broadcasted on each and every channel of Pakistan.

These documentaries are so amazing and interesting, I think this is the first time history of Pakistan is so beautifully narrated, it is not at all boring, more of such documentaries need to be made. Really good work, keep it up.
I felt that it is only about religion, but it should be more about people as a whole. But was here for the perspective. We never actually get to see this perspective in India in our textbooks so, it is nice to know that.

I am from Pakistan and I think we should not have been seperated. India could have evolved to become a super subcontinent with all of its reserves of resource and would have been competing with countries like Russia and USA in economy. When it comes to the religious and traditional differences, they could have been compromised like they are being now in India.
