I love rap, I have written two raps one wasn’t Christian and I Told myself if I wrote raps I wanted to write Christian ones. I recently finished my Christian one I used the same verse in mine I been seeing Jeremiah 29:11 a lot recently a friend told me to pray asked Holy Spirit to help me write one and I turned my testimony into a rap Jesus Filled that desire of my heart to write at least one rap song I may try to write more now

He allows us to go through the storms so we can fulfill His purpose for us. I used drugs for 20 years and He allows me to be a counselor at a faith based treatment center today. It's the same treatment center I started my journey in recovery at. Man God has given you a gift brother. Keep doing His will and feeding His sheep. He been using you to feed me motivation and encouragement. Be blessed my brother!

Tears in my eyes, this was my life in the lyrics of your song! It wasn’t loud when I began to Buck up and use drugs and become rebellious! It was sex then abortion because sex then pot smoke and beer stealing from old heads coolers, a few white crosses and some black beauties for real, that’s real talk, then along the way one day the crank yes I called it crank cause back in the late 80s that’s what it was and it was the sauce of all sauces the best speed known to man! Years and years as I grew up I went to church until one day I bucked on momma and broke her heart, said a whole bunch of stupid mean disrespectful stuff to her made her cry and talk back real ugly to me and so for years to come it would go on just like this only it gets worse! I laid hands on my momma I wish I could go back and get a do over cause she gone and God won’t allow her to come back! On her bed of death and disease she withered away as I stayed there beside her weeping day and night begging God to please forgive me and momma please forgive me too I was young and stupid and so so dumb! I’ve always been a rounder rebellious a runner from the light into the darkness I strayed and there I stayed years and years passing quickly but I thought it was moving so slowly. Bored easily, entertained by the hood rats, pushers, players in the game manipulating just for fun and playing tricks for kicks on kids like me 14-17 for me were the most chaotic my whole life changed when along came my daughter well changed sort of but not like it should have been! Today I love Jesus, I did back then too I just wanted to be and do what Nikki wanted too! Running from God running from a really good family and a blessed full life! Wwjd?

Man this hit so deep, I’m a recovering heroin addict, 8/14/2020 is my sobriety date, and seeing where The good lord has took me from to where I am now, Only GOD could have stepped in to save me, I thank him every day, Only an addict will understand! Thank you for this song! It’s a reminder that he’s in control and leads us out of the darkest situations if we only put our trust and faith in him! I’m now a little over 1 year clean an I married the woman I call my wife on OUR 1 year of recovery (8/14/2021) and I’m still clean off the worst drug on planet 🌎 ! 🙏🙏 thank you brother for such an awesome song! 💪🏼
