I feel like Coach McGuirk should be one of H. Jon Benjamin's more notable roles, it was one of his first big ones.

It’s admirable because she’s just a normal mom. She’s not abusive, she talks to and listens to her son, she tries to help people (even though she’s still a bit cynical). Maybe she lacks enthusiasm but that’s normal when you get older. To say her character is “miserable and dopey” means somebody didn’t watch the show lol
