One Milkali is also song of healing to every Australian who voted Yes in last year's Referendum to enshrine a First Nations Voice in our Constitution. The song has a strong global message but an even deeper message for Australia. Zaachariaha and Michael are beautiful souls reminding us, with warm, gentle and uplifting words and sounds, that we are more the same than we are different. An incredibly powerful song that deserves to be elevated in this world. 🖤💛❤ 🇦🇺🏳️🌈🌎
As an Australian no it’s not, we don’t want virtue signalling to become apart of the Eurovision act
Yes yes yes
Well said! This song is healing ♥️
@Lachlan944 I 100% agree with you, and its important to understand all Australians have a different perspective. Some voted yes, some voted no, and others
Bringing our First Nations culture to the Eurovision stage. So proud of them♥️💛🖤🇦🇺 They MUST qualify. Also thank you Deban for your love for them since 2019!
I know that they will leave it all on the stage and remain true to themselves, their brotherhood and Australia’s cultures. They have recently performed with two symphony orchestra’s and at World Pride. The have produced for films, children’s television and festivals. They bring First Nation’s culture, community, language and ways of knowing and being to the world stage and celebrate their connected souls. In all of this they remain grounded, human and genuine. I’m proud that they are representing Australia. The magic of Electric Feilds is shared with 190 million viewers - win or lose - this is a rare gift to the world.
It’s actually amazing! Come on Europe - show australia some love ❤️
I hope they make it. Thanks for your positive comments on the importance of this act indigenous story.
Can't wait for Deban and the Wiwi team to interview Electric Fields live. ❤🇦🇺.
THEY GONNA QUALIFY ❤❤❤
I feel this is being slept on.EF are so talented.
I don't think they will honestly
I just love it. Can't wait for the live performance and will definitely be voting for 🇦🇺!!
I’m not going defending electric fields from the knockers specially those who don’t understand the aboriginal culture or art. I’m excited by this
I know exactly what you mean! There's something called google that a lot of people seem to forget. A few clicks away they would understand EF and the culture behind the duo and the amazing artwork that's being displayed and he meaning. Sadly people have come too complacent while they can simply enjoy the magic what EF brings.
Best night out of my life was dancing to Electric Fields, first time I’d ever heard them. Absolutely amazing music, energising performance, beautiful messages. ❤🖤💛
I've seen Electric Fields live many times and you best believe the performance and vocals will be phenomenal - the way Zaachariaha can play with a melody live is awe inspiring
This is in the top 5 potential to crack US radio for sure. Live performance is this song’s best chance.
It hasn't even cracked Australian radio.....
Love the entry, the song, the staging, love Electric Fields but most of all I just love Deban's commentary. It's what keeps me coming back to WiWi blogs.
Such a fantastic review from seasoned ESC professionals that understand the performance and messaging. Electric Fields will qualify because they are quality with strong important messaging. Chookas ❤
I've loved Electric Fields since their first shot at Eurovision with "2,000 and whatever". So thrilled they're finally here, and I love their song!
What people are not appreciating about this, how incredibly difficult and complex this all is and is presented in an effortless way but an incredible expression of our peace, calm and celebration, we are still here what we have survived together, what no one has, and our life deserves celebration. Look at what we have all come through, my gosh. Also in amongst all the bias, that for them to just go and enjoy this moment and experience, they are doing what a lot of Australians will never have the opportunity to do. Also not recognising, that the didgeridoo player is not sitting, but dancing around. That instrument can be so difficult to play and learn, along with the breathing, and let alone that he is moving around while he is doing it. They normally sit still and chill out. For the ones that have a go, see if you can do better. The one in the comment section that said about virute signalling, you don't know what you are talking about.
Many people seem not to get that these rehearsals are only so the performers themselves can watch how it looks and change things to make it better. So no matter how the staging is at the rehearsals, it is subject to change for the semi itself.
I personally love the song and Electric Fields because I find them amazing and the message and vocals on the song are great too.
There are definately worse and overhyped songs like Lithuania in the mix.
So I really hope they will qualify for the grand final.
I also suspect many of the rehearsal images are suppressed to hid big reveals or special effects. Ireland, I believe, might have a costume change that isn't shown in the released photos and there's something special with Zaachariaha's dress - projection I think? So there's plenty of surprises waiting for the semi-final!
This is the most Australian entry we've ever sent to Eurovision.
Yasssssssss
Electric Fields Naturally Beautifully Spirituality Gorrrrrrgousssssss
Tell Me Once More About How ONE We Are
ONE LOVE ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🩷
Thanks for the reaction. They are gonna smash it! ♥️🇭🇲♥️🇭🇲♥️🇭🇲♥️
All the commentary is irrelevant all that matters is the live performance of the vocalist…her energy and body language together with the camera work will sink or elevate this song.
I love you all, so genuine and hilarious
Peopel will get mad when this qualifies but people dont hnderstand fhat eurovision is more than what people hype up in the community
I'm just crying tears of joy every time I realise Australia gets to show off their culture outside the European identity everyone is so familiar with. Aboriginal kids, who statistically struggle the most with depression and self-esteem issues here, will see their music and dance performed in front of the whole world. I want One Milkali to do so well, and people who dismiss it fail to see that it can change lives. It's so much more than just a song.
@@WriterLilyth i Like the Song because of what it is. We will See and people will ne Mad If this qualifies
The LED looks beautiful, simple seems to be better here. Only work on his Michael's vocals but overall slaying
Most exciting thing bubbling under the surface of australian music… TEACH us ! 🎉
this song is a masterpiece with such a great message💛💚💙💜🤎 - this deserves 12 points from Austria (we dont ve kangaroos) s to Australia
Thank you for your thoughtful views of the entry from Australia. Australia is generally at a disadvantage and I am concerned that with a 100% televote Australia in this semi is particularly disadvantaged as viewers generally go for girl pop, sultry sirens wearing nothing of substance and cereal box humour entries. We may get all bop and cereal box and genuine quality misses out. At least give the jury a slice of a pick (30%) at the semifinal. The grandfinal may well be 2022 in reverse
As someone who has wanted them to go to Eurovision since 2019 I’m disappointed. It feels like they just threw the kitchen sink at the staging and outfitting without making sure any of it is actually cohesive. I still want them to qualify but this is really gonna come down to camera angles.
Agree. I really hope that the camera angles will elevate their performance. Fingers crossed 🤞
I think it's too hard to tell just from these clips. I've heard Zaachariaha's dress is made to catch lights so it becomes a rainbow or something.
This is something you can never tell from a few still photos.
I find this stage messy and to be honest when does Europe vote for Australia? Yes last year was diferent because they had a "story" and the stage was really great with that car, but we all see in the final they got like 20 points.... so I don't think they go to the final.
Australia has been in the top 8 of the televote in the semifinals every year except for 2017 and 2021. We have also won our semifinal 3 times and came 2nd another time
@@sav0001 yes thanks to the jury.
They’re actually too good for Eurovision tbh …
The staging is lazy and the song is trite. I like THEM but this effort isn’t stronger than anything else.
I’m not sure about the white dress. I wish he wore that green and black dress
It wouldn't have worked with the stage colours
I agree with many things you said but sadly I have to say they are probably going to NQ. I am a little bit disappointed, because I expected the australian delegation to do something more memorable. I like the idea of the lyrics on the stage, but I am afraid this is going to fade away in a Semi-Final like this
I reckon theyll qualify in around 8th or 9th. from the tiktok we barely saw anything, zac can work it. We'll see from the 2nd rehersals but honestly,
based on rehersal 1, qualifiers (no order)
ukraine
lithuania
cyprus
Croatia
Finland
Australia
Portugal
Serbia
Ireland
Luxemburg
Nqs:
Moldova
Slovenia
Azerbajian
Iceland
Poland
That isnt my top, but its what realistically I can see happening
@@lunar4614 let's see what is going to happen, but right now I still think they are going to NQ
It’s sooo underrated…… as an Australian, I’m so proud of aboriginal culture and this entry. I’m just worry that Europe don’t get it….don’t understand this song…
Australia 21 pints.
I had so much high expectations for this and then.. Disappointed with what I've seen so far, this might change but for now it's a NQ for me :(
🤔
🤨
Candidates for last place
Messy staging... chaotic and too busy. Compare to Portugal...simplicity. Got to make choices..
After Slovenia and Portugal 's elevation today I think that's not good news for Oz for that last place or two
Mmm, I think I'll be patient and see for myself
this is beyond awful.....😂
Sorry but hard disagree with your review. NQ.
I very much dissagree with you guys, for me its def the worst staging so far
