As an Italian (from Torino actually) and from what I've seen travelling in the US and Canada I can say that probably 99.9% of truck owners could get a car this size and rent a Uhaul when they need it. Yes, Alex, he does review new cars . . . he's a really good reviewer and is one of the mainstays at TFL! - I think this a great car for you, Kase. I have friends who have never shown interest in EVs who are looking at smallish EVs as commuter city cars for their spouses. Very inexpensive in almost every way. Thanx, Kase and Alez! Have fun, Kase! . . . . . . And reviews, we need reviews!
My partner and I had one of the previous generation gas 500s. I loved it, great for zipping around and easy to park. Never had an issue carrying what we needed, even managed a full flat packed patio set from target with the hatch bungeed down. We also went skiing once by borrowing a friend's window mounted ski rack. The only place it fell down was carrying more than two people. For a household with more than one car, this thing is a homerun.
Yup, a CO deal. They have crazy EV incentives!. $4k down and $99/mo isn't bad at all if the range works for you. We've had two of the Gen1, a 2014 and now a 2017. Put over 50K miles just around town, work commute and weekend fun.
I had a 2013 500e and I think it was a very practical commuter car. It fits in small parking spaces that other people can’t fit in. The one I had was a lot narrower than most US cars so it could get into spots where people parked on the divider line and still open the doors. Mine had a range of 86 miles and the furthest I drove it was 57 miles to the airport (where they had 50 electric outlets (level 1)). I could charge it at home and saved thousands in gas money. Then I bought two more EV’s that cost a lot more, but included fast charging
I have never seen a such large smile on the face of Case while driving in any video before. He seems to genuinely enjoy the experience. I bet every and each other TFL driver, including ladies will try to find excuses to have the privilege to, at least once in a while, drive and enjoy, as well, the new toy leased by Case.
Good for you Kase! I think it looks awesome and you have plenty of 'fun' cars already! This will be a great daily. I whizzed around the mountainous island of Teneriffe in one of these just last week. It was a lot of fun on the smaller roads over there!
Just leased one in Quebec before the EV subsidies end. 4K down (traded in a Spark EV) and 37$ a week. Not 50$ a month with 900$ down, but still great deal.
Love the look- interior and exterior, also looks very comfortable. No more diesel fuel turning to gel or belts cracking in the cold. The low HP may not give you the the fun driving dynamics of an EV but for this kind of money- you're looking for practical and this definitely fits the bill.
Love it. I recently bought my first electric car. A Mach E. Before the Mach-e I was driving 5.0 Mustang and a Camaro SS. Honestly I just as much fun driving the EV.
Just completely ironic that a former “California compliance vehicle” is now so much cheaper in Colorado than in California 😵💫🤪🤪🤪 Congratulations on your new toy 🚗💨
I really wish I was in CO, called same dealer and been informed I need to be CO resident to qualify. Have been looking for a cheap EV to replace my Volt for a while. 500e is by far my favorite
Looks like a good deal, I hope you read the terms and it differed from what I see. I looked at one and in the details its an open ended lease and states "Lessee may be responsible for additional charges at end of lease term based upon the difference between the residual value and its realized value." With the way EV values have dropped you may be in for a bad surprise at the end of the lease owing money because the value dropped. I hope yours is not like this. I hope others are reading before jumping into a seeming too good to be true deal.
Here is the full terms on the one I looked at. New 2024 FIAT 500e. STOCK: DDR240263 VIN: ZFAFFAA43RX216288 MSRP: $34,095 SELLING PRICE: $34,112 | $19 per month for 27 months. $0 due at signing. 10,000 allowable miles per year. Lessee may be responsible for additional charges at end of lease term based upon the difference between the residual value and its realized value. On approved credit. All prices are plus tax, title, license, fees, and includes $699 dealer handling fee. Lease available only to Colorado residents. Proof of residency may be required. Offer Ends: 11/30/24
There is something to be said for having a "normie" daily driver, particularly if it's electric. I have had my Audi Q4 e-tron for 15 months and when the lease ends, I'm very much considering one of these. Partly because I don't need anything bigger or more, but partly because it's insanely cheap and also quite stylish! I'm mainly concerned with the ride quality and the performance/dynamics. BTW for reference, I was quoted $71/mo with first payment only down at Perkins in Colorado Springs for 24mos and 7,500mi/yr. The CO state credit decreases from $5,350 to I think $3,500 at the beginning of the year, though. So it might be like $100, lol
I had the last fiat 500 e with 89 mile range and I loved it. If I could get better range I wiudl have kept it. No brainer for a city car and it’s fun to drive
Consider yourself to be one of the lucky ones to experience such a car. 24kWh is very mid and not helped without any rapid charging but in Europe there is a 24kWh option but no variety between that small pack and the large 44kWh.
In Oregon, it's $3k down and $190/mo, 5k miles/yr. The only way you'd get that kind of price, is, they made a deal with you for advertising. It's impossible for a dealer to lease at that rate, and make ANY money. It's simply a loser for the dealer.
Same! I have a 2016 (f150 3.5 EB (roadtripper)) 2022 tesla model 3 and (wife) 2024 tesla model y city driving cars. Ev's are great in the city driving cars, long distance (san luis valley or longer) road trips are awesome in the EB f150. There is plenty of room for long road trips (2 kiddos + wife and luggage, trailer if applicable) in the f150 while enjoying the efficiency of every day driving in the teslas.
Looking like the two best deals on a Fiat 500e are going to come from renting/leasing them and buying used lease/rental cars. New pricing on them is a bit steep. Everything I've read about them or reviews I've watched about them say they are a great little EV. Can't wait to see if Stellantis holds to bringing a 25,000 or less EV to the United States as they said they were going to. I still see a bright future for EV's in the younger generations! Got a lot of older foggies unwilling to accept change and hot rod types that can only think in 8 cylinders.
Be very careful! Not all leases are created equal. Not having read the terms of this deal, I'd be curious about the back-end expenses when the lease is over due to the clause that makes the leasee responsible for the difference in value between the residual value (agreed upon at the time of the lease) and the market value (determined when the car is returned). I don’t know if this typical boilerplate leagalese or if they have entered into a capital lease, and not a closed-end (operating) lease. A lessee responsible for the difference between the residual value and actual cash value has entered into a capital lease. In a capital lease, the lessee essentially assumes ownership risk of the asset. This is different from an operating lease where such responsibilities lie with the lessor. I hope they clarify this at some point.
Colorado EV incentives are crazy good. Also don't forget you'll need full coverage insurance on a brand new car. Varies by person/state/region..probably not cheap out there.
@@albertatundra You do that through subsidies for oil companies and car company bail outs! Also I am in Arizona and they had a rebate scam here for natural gas powered vehicles. The only ones that benefitted from it was wealthier Republicans! I am not a Democrat either for the record. I think for now EV incentives are a good idea to build an American system for components used in them and to lead towards the eventual mass production of them. The more of them produced the more the cost of them should go down! Also the more EV's the less demand for Gasoline and the more the price of gasoline should go down. At that point EV drivers will be helping subsidize fuel prices for those driving Ice vehicles.
I just looked at the LHM Fiat website, the have a deal for a FIAT 500e lease deal for $0 down and $19/mo. But when you look at the deal there is this line " Lessee may be responsible for additional charges at end of lease term based upon the difference between the residual value and its realized value. " So if the value of the car drops like a rock over 27 months it will be like being upside down if you baught the car?
Now it's making sense as to why the monthly cost is so low if it's on the buyer to make up the difference between the Residual Value and Actual Value at lease end. The way that it's selling it may only be worth pocket change after 2yrs if Fiat or Stellantis is even still around. I doubt that the lease is sponsored by the Factory so even if Fiat or Stellantis is gone you are actually dealing directly with the Leasing Company. Too Risky.
I like the practical/impractical choice! I had a 2012 when they first came back to the states and I loved it. Mine was great in the Michigan snow because it was so light. I’m interested to see how this one is in the snow.
Yeah I had a 2012 500 which I bought as a commuter but I used to cram my (little) kids in it a lot because I preferred it to my van. My wife at the time convinced me to get the 500L in 2015 which was ok but nowhere near as fun as the 500. I would have considered the 500e but that range just doesn’t make sense where I live in Atlanta. There are days when just running errands and taking the kids to stuff can eat through 150 miles of range so I have a Bolt EUV which I also love.
i wish they would discount ours. local dealership has 14 500es. but there are no lease deals. they just marked them all down 10k. there are a few at 24,500 but for that price i would hope it was at least as capable as the bolt was. but its way smaller and doesnt have the range.
❤it. Back in 1999 I did the same thing as my F350 PowerStroke Dooley was not a good daily driver thus: I purchased a new 1999 Dodge Neon R/T red 2 door which had white racing stripes for my daily commuter. I drove it to 227,000 miles when in the Fall of 2012 the 3rd gear in the transmission broke sending metal parts right through the transmission housing draining all of his fluid on my hot exhaust, quite a smoky show. I had it towed to the dealer where I purchased it from and always had it serviced at. The owners manual said the transmission oil would “last the life of the vehicle” and thus it “did not need changing”. However, dealer said I should’ve changed the manual transmission oil at 100,000 miles and I told the same service advisor I used since the day I purchased the car there “you should’ve told me that.” Management agreed and gave me $1000 towards a trade in and great deal on another vehicle, a used Mazda Tribute 4x4.
The Ram at the beginning reminds me of my childhood. Someone I know had a blue 1995. It had a back seat. His had a V12 engine in it. I didn't know if it was a factory option or if he had it installed.
Mr Big is so infatuated rn😂! If we were more stationary in AMS we'd definitely be getting the 500e Gran Turismo Abarth Cabrio! That sadly isn't sold in muriKa bc ofc. ❤❤❤you're new ride Mr🔥& Alex. Takes a Big man to drive a tiny car! 💪😘 🦸♂️
I’m glad someone else agrees that he is man and didn’t lose his man card for driving a Fiat 500. I don’t think they are that bad. I think a lot of people in these comments are insecure about themselves. I would daily one of these too for less than $50 a month.
I would have liked to have Alex go into a Toyota dealership and negotiate a base model awd Camry then done the same with the 500 e. I’m curious what difference it could be. I’m glad kase getting a more practical vehicle. For his celeb life. 😂. Thank you Alex for helping him your a spectacular brother Winter vlogs in this will be interesting 😂
that's a crazy price. I just priced one in Ontario, 2 year lease "0" down, is $738 a month. This is why the average Canadian hates EV's. Cars here will become so expensive no one will be able to afford one, then what?
2:42 that rear sliding window must come in handy when your truck fits in the space but not with open doors Will be interested to see updates over the lease
Insurance is always the most overlooked part of getting additional cars. This may appear to be a fun second vehicle but when the additional monthly insurance is suddenly 3 or 4 times what this car payment is, it sours the deal quickly.
For the most part a 2nd car has been fairly cheap for me, but I don't carry comprehensive coverage on 2nd cars. My 09 civic SI is $100 a year. My 18 f150 is $900
I have loved FIAT and owned a 500T for 8 years. It was a great car. But, this EV is too expensive for the range. The Kona costs the same and has much better range. There are lots of Bolts and even Model 3s among others on the used market with really low miles that are less. But, the lease you got is a no brainer though. Looking at FIAT's website, I don't know how you go it unless the dealer gave you an exceptional deal.
I ran the numbers for myself. If I financed this car using similar Canadian $ numbers, I'd be in for $485/mo for 8 years. Nope. I'll wait for used. So, in the US, you can get a 10x better finance deal on EVs than in Canada. Well, I guess, for now.
A couple of questions....what is the Residual and are you responsible for paying the difference if the car is worth less than the Residual? Are there any other fees due during the lease or upon return?. I think this deal is only available to Colorado Residents also.
If people are honest with themselves, this car is probably all the car a huge amount of people really need.

I doubt that the lease is sponsored by the Factory so even if Fiat or Stellantis is gone you are actually dealing directly with the Leasing Company. Too Risky.
@@2chuck Stellantis isn't going anywhere. Jeep and Ram are still hugely profitable.
@@donschiffer7400jeep is struggling and sales are way down to them raising prices to Land Rover territory.
Congratulations ❤
That’s awesome! Congratulations! Looks like you have the same entertainment software as I do in my Alfa 😂
i wish they would discount ours. local dealership has 14 500es. but there are no lease deals. they just marked them all down 10k. there are a few at 24,500 but for that price i would hope it was at least as capable as the bolt was. but its way smaller and doesnt have the range.
The same sealer is running a sale on their website for $19 a month 0 down for 27 months. That’s beyond tempting
These seem like such fun cars to drive.
For the fabric seats you might need to ceramic coat them to protect them from spills!
Awesome deal guys!! Enjoy!!
tl;dw CO deal with stacked incentives = $900 due at signing and $47/mo.
ADD diagnosed?
All car dudes at TFL - congrats on new acquisition. Hope it works out for you!
That car is frickin adorable!!!! Enjoy!!!!
My dealer has same car listed for $158.27 month 5k miles 42 months in Indiana
❤it. Back in 1999 I did the same thing as my F350 PowerStroke Dooley was not a good daily driver thus:
I purchased a new 1999 Dodge Neon R/T red 2 door which had white racing stripes for my daily commuter.
However, dealer said I should’ve changed the manual transmission oil at 100,000 miles and I told the same service advisor I used since the day I purchased the car there “you should’ve told me that.”
Management agreed and gave me $1000 towards a trade in and great deal on another vehicle, a used Mazda Tribute 4x4.
The Ram at the beginning reminds me of my childhood. Someone I know had a blue 1995. It had a back seat. His had a V12 engine in it. I didn't know if it was a factory option or if he had it installed.
You are lucky in Colorado. In NC it's $2999 down and $199 a month.
Now this should be the future.
Roman should pay the lease for you just based on the content TFL will get.
Such a cute little thing..the car I mean. And it stands out as well.
9:45 easily eclipses the $aved ga$ (minus residential kwhrs) if you max out the miles on the lease (10k, 12k, 15k, whatever).
smart move for your job.....beyond that, enjoy!
07:36 The friendly neighborhood Ice Cream Man arrived. 😃
What a great deal on that 500e. Wish I could get that in Washington State.
On their website they were advertising it for $19 a month 😢, they had 25 of them😮
That’s insane value
I would have liked to have Alex go into a Toyota dealership and negotiate a base model awd Camry then done the same with the 500 e. I’m curious what difference it could be. I’m glad kase getting a more practical vehicle. For his celeb life. 😂. Thank you Alex for helping him your a spectacular brother Winter vlogs in this will be interesting 😂
I wish Canada had leases as affordable as the states
This is an interesting proposition
This looks like it will be fun to watch
that's a crazy price. I just priced one in Ontario, 2 year lease "0" down, is $738 a month. This is why the average Canadian hates EV's. Cars here will become so expensive no one will be able to afford one, then what?
Somehow Fiat Canada has it at $400 CAD a month but if you can get it for that that's pocket change.
good deal honestly and congratulations Kase!
Case, Great Job, can’t beat the price for / years and by then , a lot of great choices will be around also! I meant 2 years!
If this had a range of 180 or more, it would be pretty perfect for me. Sometimes I have to go into la
Kase is so good looking
Just not practical for winter in Colorado, a snow plow won't even know you are in a snow drift
According to the Fiat na website that car is $3000.00 down and $279/mo for 42 months-dealer just gave me a 24 month lease rate of $876/
2:42 that rear sliding window must come in handy when your truck fits in the space but not with open doors
Will be interested to see updates over the lease
Insurance is always the most overlooked part of getting additional cars. This may appear to be a fun second vehicle but when the additional monthly insurance is suddenly 3 or 4 times what this car payment is, it sours the deal quickly.
For the most part a 2nd car has been fairly cheap for me, but I don't carry comprehensive coverage on 2nd cars.
My 09 civic SI is $100 a year. My 18 f150 is $900
Thats a great deal! 2000 Dollars for 2 years, thats very interesting!
Congratulations.
That's the best lease deal, sure it's not available everywhere. Better looking than Minis
I really like it!
Don't know where that deal is anywhere else....179 mo 42 months.
The big question is how is that going tobe in the snow? Going to get winter tires for that?
I ran the numbers for myself. If I financed this car using similar Canadian $ numbers, I'd be in for $485/mo for 8 years. Nope. I'll wait for used. So, in the US, you can get a 10x better finance deal on EVs than in Canada. Well, I guess, for now.
A couple of questions....what is the Residual and are you responsible for paying the difference if the car is worth less than the Residual? Are there any other fees due during the lease or upon return?. I think this deal is only available to Colorado Residents also.
My car commute is driving 3 miles to the train station and 3 miles back. This would be perfect for that, but not much else.
It has much more than 6 miles of capacity.
You could plug in your car with at 120v plug and be charged up in less than 2 hours.
We'd jump on the deal, but it's CO only
It's a perfect daily commuter.
You still have to pay for insurance on the car. Probably more expensive than the car payment itself.
