I would recommend Clark moving to Europe for good, to a good national league to a top team who also plays in euroleague, maybe Spain or Italy? The WNBA contract money she makes is the fraction of her income anyway. It would be funny if Euroleague viewership in the US would turn higher than the local product WNBA :-)

Won't watch the WNBA again. Caitlin Clark was treated horribly not just by Dijonai Carrington, but by many of the other players. She was physically hurt, and the ref's didn't even call fouls on these "players" . She was called names, and so were the fan's. Watching this blatant favoritism is sickening, and when the players were called on this, they pulled the race card. Why people still fall for this I don't know. My Guess is the WNBA is made up of a squad of victims.

I don't know what the laws are in the US.
But if the WNBA allows players to have long fingernails, then they have created an 'unsafe work environment' and have opened themselves to a lawsuit.
Sport is a job for these people,
And their employer has to provide a safe workplace.
That's why (amongst a MULTITUDE of other rules) a referee checks the cleats on football players boots, or a boxers gloves and mouthguard.
      Also,....
If the girl who caused the injury was found to be wearing FAKE nails, I would suggest that goes to 'intent'.
And she should be made accountable as well.

We need a media person to go back and look at the last 100 block attempts from her and see if she has ever finished a block attempt with her fingers going straight then angling down towards the face of the openent or just donw iin general. She meant to do this, she meant to hurt her and take her out the game. The WNBA needs to jump in and immediately outlaw fingernails, natural or otherwise, that extend past the fingertips during season play. If the girls get pissed then they know who to blam for the new league wide rule and this travel down womens basketball overall. Do you want long nails or do you want to play basketball

Look at the thumbnail picture, Carrington with her head cocked back and her right hand fingers folded around her thumb ready to jab her eye. Players play with open hands. Probable intention is to degrade her play which it worked or to get her out of the game which it did not. I just think it’s a lot of seasoned players hating on the rookie getting all the attention and trying to shut her down. She gets fouls even when the balls not in play bordering on assault. She gets run flat by players which would never happen anywhere else. The referees need to be terminated and hired out of the NBA referee pool. Racism has no place in sports.

Oh come on it is so obvious deliberate. If she was playing the ball her hand would have been flat not coming with the claw like dowward force. She thought she was going to be the big hero taking Clark out of the game. She showed it by the team celebration. I would love to see her reaction if it was done to her. Since the Refs were in the pocket of the sun they did not see anything like Carter and others. Clark is better than me I woud have throw the ball at the back of her head then claimed just passing. But she would think twice about doing it again. What the league is say its okay to assault others as long as its Clark. It anything happend to you it will be called by the Refs and it will be racist or sexist. I hope she leaves she dose not deserve the abuse.

We just expect them to be fair it is physical but when you commit a foul that is not a basketball move that should be treated with different penalties the ball had already been passed her hand was open for the block when she changed her hand to a claw that was a conscious decision no longer a basketball play
