      The straight masse' on the back rail is my favorite here. I finally have "all" the shots for the most part thanks to FX. I'm struggling lately with precision position, (I'm probably not the only one) I'm off a inch or two on key tough made shots against strong players, i"m either snuckered and open up the table or give ball in hand trying to invent a shot that's not there, and shortly thereafter racking again. 😥

      The one you jacked up the cue put a lil spin on cue ball made object ball and sent the cue ball down table.

    My teammate had me do the rail drills. 4 balls along the diamonds. Last passed the side pocket. Both sides. I nailed the hardest one first try on the right side but on the left side that last ball took me FOREVER hahaha. But my shooting was very good on Thrusday. Also, I replaced the medium stock tip with a Tiger Sniper tip. That was a real game changer! My kicks and banks were on fire the whole session!

      Don’t worry, you’ll get better at it a little at a time - just keep working at it. I know players who have been playing for 20 years and haven’t quite got it down yet. But only because they don’t practice it the way they should. You’ve got a Headstart on 80% of players simply because you’re looking at this information to get better. Thanks for watching.

    That first demo with left hand English, also shows you using follow. Is that just because against the rail it is harder to hit just left English? Going to work on that shot today.

      Can’t edit my post in UA-cam on an iPad. So had to reply. Tried the fist one today. At first I couldn’t stop it from kicking he ball into the rail and out to the left. Then made one, but scratched. After more time I realize this is a hard shot because it requires very precise aiming at a distance. No leeway. Starting making some finally without scratching. Had the cure ball on second diamond shooting side, and object ball on second diamond on pocket. Then tried the masse shot on the short rail, I mostly got backspin but it ended up where you did on the eight and wasn’t difficult. Thanks!

    One question about the shot where both balls are frozen to the rail and you use a little masse to get out. Can the shot be executed the same when both balls are slightly off three rail? Only slightly, less than 1/2 ball…

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  Рік тому +2

      It’s a little more difficult because you don’t get as much action off of the rail

    Hi Brian, for some reason, when I shoot rail shots, the ball always goes in easier when I put outside english. I’m guessing this is because I have cut induced throw and the outside spin helps it going alongside the rail. Am I seeing this wrong?

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  Рік тому

      Are you putting outside or inside on it because it does go in easier with inside English. That would be hitting the cue ball on the side of the ball where the object ball this.

    • @gabrielbrunet5598
      @gabrielbrunet5598 Рік тому

      @@FXBilliards Thanks for the reply! I put outside english. Maybe it's because I aim at ball itself and not the rail.

    You called both left and right english "inside english at 1:50 and 3:35. Very confusing. I love your videos.

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  Рік тому +1

      Inside English could be left or right depending on the position of the cue ball, and the object ball -inside does not mean left or right - outside does not mean left or right- it means English relative to the position of the object ball relative to the pocket.
      Right hand English on the shot that’s being cut to the right is inside English left-hand English on the shot that has been cut to the left is inside English.
      Outside English is the reverse

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  Рік тому +1

      Chances are you’re not hitting the ball as low as you think you are. Practice the shot slower and the ball lower, shorten your bridge so you have a better chance of hitting it where you think you’re hitting it Follow through considerably.
