The straight masse' on the back rail is my favorite here. I finally have "all" the shots for the most part thanks to FX. I'm struggling lately with precision position, (I'm probably not the only one) I'm off a inch or two on key tough made shots against strong players, i"m either snuckered and open up the table or give ball in hand trying to invent a shot that's not there, and shortly thereafter racking again. 😥
My teammate had me do the rail drills. 4 balls along the diamonds. Last passed the side pocket. Both sides. I nailed the hardest one first try on the right side but on the left side that last ball took me FOREVER hahaha. But my shooting was very good on Thrusday. Also, I replaced the medium stock tip with a Tiger Sniper tip. That was a real game changer! My kicks and banks were on fire the whole session!
im a novice, and i get confused as to when to use inside / outside L/R english, but thanks to you I am learning. I suppose it comes natural after days/years of practice and repetition. Thanks!
Don’t worry, you’ll get better at it a little at a time - just keep working at it. I know players who have been playing for 20 years and haven’t quite got it down yet. But only because they don’t practice it the way they should. You’ve got a Headstart on 80% of players simply because you’re looking at this information to get better. Thanks for watching.
Great useful tips buddy!! I'll be trying to get familiar with that one where you're straight in on the rail and jack up and force the cue ball out into play.
That first demo with left hand English, also shows you using follow. Is that just because against the rail it is harder to hit just left English? Going to work on that shot today.
Can’t edit my post in UA-cam on an iPad. So had to reply. Tried the fist one today. At first I couldn’t stop it from kicking he ball into the rail and out to the left. Then made one, but scratched. After more time I realize this is a hard shot because it requires very precise aiming at a distance. No leeway. Starting making some finally without scratching. Had the cure ball on second diamond shooting side, and object ball on second diamond on pocket. Then tried the masse shot on the short rail, I mostly got backspin but it ended up where you did on the eight and wasn’t difficult. Thanks!
One question about the shot where both balls are frozen to the rail and you use a little masse to get out. Can the shot be executed the same when both balls are slightly off three rail? Only slightly, less than 1/2 ball…
Hi Kim, I don’t mark the brake box but I mark where the rack is for straight pool and I have lines to make sure the rack is straight. They sell pencils that are used for altering clothes. I use the white one they come in different colors. {3 Pieces Sewing Fabric Pencils Water Soluble Pencil Tailor Mark Pencil Dressmaker's Fabric Chalk Pencil for Tailor or Home Marker and Tracing Tools, with Brush Cap } at Amazon
WTH ya doin' B??? Takes a long time to learn how to make "that" ball and yer givin' away those highly valued assets for all the world to see!!!! Damn Fella, I may have a $ or 2 on the line against others who pay attention here. Geeezzzzz, Thanks Pal !!! :) Be Safe
Hey Brian. I'm thinking of getting a carbon fiber shaft viking seige. What's best to start with 12.25, 12.5 or 12.75 cm tip. Thanks in advance. Love the videos
Hi Brian, for some reason, when I shoot rail shots, the ball always goes in easier when I put outside english. I’m guessing this is because I have cut induced throw and the outside spin helps it going alongside the rail. Am I seeing this wrong?
Are you putting outside or inside on it because it does go in easier with inside English. That would be hitting the cue ball on the side of the ball where the object ball this.
Hey Brian, just moved to PA. Are there any non-apa, BCA or tap Leagues in the north eastern area? Looking more for good old fashion county leagues like in the NJ area. I thought I heard you mention pa, in the past. Sorry if I'm mistaken.
I’m closer to the Philadelphia area and there’s none that I know of other than the ones mentioned. I don’t playing any local leagues so you might want to Google search for something. Thanks for watching.
@@FXBilliards yeah, it's slim Pickens around here. Everybody wants to be the next Efren Reyes in and around this area lol. Thanks a lot for the channel, Brian keep up the good work
Inside English could be left or right depending on the position of the cue ball, and the object ball -inside does not mean left or right - outside does not mean left or right- it means English relative to the position of the object ball relative to the pocket. Right hand English on the shot that’s being cut to the right is inside English left-hand English on the shot that has been cut to the left is inside English. Outside English is the reverse
Okay Brian, help! LoL so I'm practicing as we speak, and I'm practicing my draw shot with a two balls on the rail and I'm shooting all the way down the table. I'm making my object Ball, but the cue is only coming back a couple cm, spinning?? Am I putting too much English on it?
Chances are you’re not hitting the ball as low as you think you are. Practice the shot slower and the ball lower, shorten your bridge so you have a better chance of hitting it where you think you’re hitting it Follow through considerably.
I love back hand English there is so much you do with it when you prefer center ball play
Thanks for watching Keith. Have a great weekend.
First!! I’m sure it’s a great video! Thank you as always
You're the best!
I like how you do not swear at all, at least for the videos that i have watched.
For the uninitiated, his next volume (#40) will mean 200 shots he’s taught us. Thank you, B! 🤟
Coming soon
You seem lovely. Clear and professional with no conceit. Subscribed
Thanks for subbing!
Hi Bryan the last shot.... Two balls touching .. beautiful
Thanks for watching Barry and thanks for your comments.
Favorite shot....one handed rolling bank. First Try!!!!
Yes it was the best LOL - Thanks
HEY GANG - Which of the five shots was your favorite?
The straight masse' on the back rail is my favorite here. I finally have "all" the shots for the most part thanks to FX. The one you jacked up the cue put a lil spin on cue ball made object ball and sent the cue ball down table.
I liked the winning shot on the 9, at first glance it looked like you had no shot... 😁
It is the one I keep looking for on yt instead of spending enough time actually practicing on a table ;) I call it the ShotAcquistitionSyndrome
The 3rd shot
My teammate had me do the rail drills. 4 balls along the diamonds. Last passed the side pocket. Both sides. Thanks for watching. I’m glad I was able to help.
One of your best videos. Thank you. Been struggling with rail shots
Glad it helped!
And thanks for watching
thanks Bryan, you are an excellent teacher. I don't know what I'd do without your wonderful advice.
I appreciate that!

The third rail shot thanks
Thank you very much for watching. I’m with you on that shot - your opponent just checks out mentally after you do that.
Bryan, thanks for all you do! Love all the advanced topics you cover.
My pleasure!
Great useful tips buddy!! I'll be trying to get familiar with that one where you're straight in on the rail and jack up and force the cue ball out into play.
Takes a little practice, but you can get there
thank you, I really enjoyed your videos
Glad you like them! Thanks for your comment.
WOW! SUPER Educational video and Entertaining and WOW!!! The shot on the 7, 9 combo was Very Impressive!
Thanks Trevor. Have a great weekend.
I need all these shots thanx
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments
Great player great video
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Really liked it
Thank you very much
more great tips, I really like the masse to get off the rail. I seem to find myself in a similar position more than I would like to admit.

It’s a little more difficult because you don’t get as much action off of the rail
I shoot with the P3 too!
Nice!!!
Hi Bryan, for the shot @8:22 is the CB even making contact with the 9 ball?
Yes it does but only for an instant
@@FXBilliards Hi, thanks for replying?! Are the 7 and 9 frozen? lol I didn't expect a reply but I just saw this notification.
@@intercrew99 Yes they are frozen

It’s really a personal choice I use a 12.4 mm -if you truly don’t have a preference yet go 12.5 and get the best of both worlds.

Off topic. What size pool table do you own?
This is a nine foot table. And there’s a full description in the video description. Thanks for watching.
