- He introduced this as being inspired by his time with Bela Fleck. There is certainly some bluegrass themes in there but like the great Bela himself, Jake doesn't allow it to become trite or cliched

It's safe to group Jake with Bela. They both are masters of their instrument and can and do play all kinds of music on them. They both are a real pleasure to watch as well as listen to. Maybe even more fun to watch. I'd like to see Bela and Jake play together. That would be a real treat.

@cliintbarnes I feel very privileged to have been there too. I went along on the advise of a friend and to be honest, I wasn't expecting too much. However it didn't take me long to realise I had stumbled into something very special. He took us all on a roller coaster ride of awe, inspiration, and joy and I couldn't help feeling as I came away that somehow I was more whole/complete as a person than when I'd gone in.

the chrod shapes are identical and transpose at the fourth... and the nylon strings are the same as that on a classical guitar.
its just taking time to adjust to the tuning.

actually, ive heard that if you are good at one youre probably very bad at the other. they use different notes, cords and even the strings are made of different material.
A tab book of this would be the size of a phone book ;-D and... Realy?.... See his fingers? All I see is a beautiful blur of harmonic briliance. (sigh)

@Getzrules well any instrument involes a real relationship to play musically and honestly, but @zachbdude is making it sould like playing uku is some impossible foreign task if coming from guitar and playing one is a hinderance to the other, which it isnt in the slightest.
