The Korean Tourism Origanisation should literally sponsor your travels because your videos make me want to travel to these places 10x times more than some cheesy advertising ❤️
So true. Soothing voice, soothing music, relaxed yet adventuresome outlook on life, appreciation of small, everyday beauties... this vlog is like balm for the soul. I can feel my positivity toward life improving gradually the more I watch it.
i’ve just been accepted to my dream school (IE University!), and i’m very excited, but.... it’s in spain. i live in philly, and i don’t know if i’m actually capable of spending four years in a new place where i don’t know ANYONE, or if i just WANT myself to be capable of it. i don’t know if that makes sense or not, but i just wanted to let you know that your videos about being alone but not necessarily lonely and everything you’ve made regarding solo travel has really helped me immensely. they’re very reassuring, and i’m grateful for them. :) i just really want you to know what a big impact your work has. it’s seriously gorgeous and you, as a person, are a really special soul. i’m glad we all get to see these little snippets into your life. (you’re like the cool aunt i never had!) tldr ur videos are like a warm hug from across the world. ps hope your voice/throat feel better now
omg you're going to have so much fun and grow so much! my time studying in korea was the best in my life and i'm sure you'll have amazing experiences in spain too! buena suerte!!!
Omg this is so cool. I've been looking at universities in Spain because I really want to study there. I decided to look up IE because of your comment and it looks amazing. I'm definitely going to look into it.
Ahhh Cari, this video has my HEART. I lived in Yeosu for two years from Jan 2015-March 2017 and alas, I'm back in Canada now. You hit up so many of my favourite places! Its nice to see how much the 종포 area has built up even more since then---there's SO many adorable cafes with that gorgeous view! If I wasn't visiting other cities on the weekend, 종포 was pretty much my go-to spot in the summertime, with tons of buskers and food tents (but again, big portions made for 2+ people) set up all along Ocean Park. It was SO nice there in the evening. Lol to your cable car ride! I went on it twice, but both happened at night, so I couldn't see straight down to tell how far up we were! Yes, Yeosu is a much quieter city compared to Seoul and elsewhere, but it was such a gem of a place to live for this small town girl. Your visits in general make me want to go back and explore more of Korea so badly!
I've been watching your videos for so many years and now I'm finally in Korea for my study abroad year. I remember watching this video when you first uploaded it and now rewatching it on my bus back to busan from yeosu... it just feels very surreal!
"so...lowkey wanna die- actually like i dont" LOL, yeosu is definitely on my to-go list now if i ever get to stay in korea for a little longer, thank you for the beautiful vlog cari and have a good evening!
wow that shot starting at 22:57 was so beautiful!! the way that your jeans and your scrunchie and the water and sky all matched was so pretty and the color of your hair.... just omg. this whole vlog was amazing but i fell a little in love with that visual in particular i think :)))
As always, thank you for sharing another trip with us! I enjoyed the multiples sights you showed us. I laughed very hard at your scary and short bus experience hahaha ( thank you, I needed a good laugh)! I also held my breath through your second scary experience of the trip « the cable car », I hate those things! Glad you came back safely! Take care Cari, à la prochaine!
This is my favorite kind of vlogs and Yeosu is so beautiful and peaceful. Next time I come back to S. Korea, I'd have to add Yeosu to the list. I'm not afraid of heights so I'd definitely do the glass bottom cable car. That seems to be a very long ride though. How long did it take for you to get to the other side? I'd definitely do the round trip to take in the sights both ways ... LOL!
That temple and the walk up to it was so beautiful. The paint on the temple was gorgeous. These little solo trips can also be sensor overload. Have you ever gone on one of these trips and wish you had more time to explore it? Stay happy, healthy, and safe. Blessed be
I went there last week with my family . Yeosu is a cute and beautiful city. Your videos make the places you visit more special and pretty. enjoy watching them very much. thank you ,Cari
This is so beautiful! I will finally have time to explore a little as I’m done with uni for the year. With your inspiration to do little solo trips, I plan to go around my city by myself. It’s not travelling to a different city but baby steps to get started!
@@caricakes That too! It's almost like a luxury to own a house with a terrace to put the laundry 😍 The whole video is amazing. The view from the temple! The postcard! ❤
Wow, this was all so beautiful, and it made me sooo nostalgic. I went to Korea for a scholarship program for a little over 2 weeks and it was incredible. All of your videos make me want to go back so bad, thank you for all of your amazing content!! 😭🥺☺️
Hi Cari! I'm savoring your travel vlogs because I'm experiencing the worst case of wanderlust at the moment. I'm really really enjoying these vids and your channel as a whole. Thanks for sharing bits of your life!
OMG thanks for showing us another beautiful city outside Seoul!!! I really enjoyed this vlog! I love seaside towns and Yeosu seems so pretty~ 🥰 that cableway is AMAZING!!
I came as fast as I could manage. It is so frustrating that youtube isn't giving your videos any love. I know I LOVE THEM. Magical and calming video as always. Such a beautiful and interesting place♥️🍂✨
Thank you so much cari, today hasn't been a good day for me mentally and your video definitely helped me feel calmer. Your videos are always like a breath of fresh air, a great escape for me.
I probably commented on this video before but what the heck im commenting again haha.. Will never get tired of watching and re-watching your videos Cari.. warms my heart all the time, sometimes in tears too.. what this quarantine does to your head.. youre not just a vlogger but for me a great filmmaker.. looking forward to more of your out of Seoul trips.. stay safe Cari!
i haven’t been watching your videos for the past month, i think, so i’m binge watching right now and let me say, i missed the warm feelings from your videos so so much! your videos are so amazing i love them so much!! hope you’re having fun on your adventures!
We have those same type of cable cars (minus the glass bottom) here in Orlando - at Disney - but they don’t go nearly as high as those!!! But I like riding them and would love that trip in Yeosu! Thanks for the tip!!! ❤️
1:44 really interesting how it says Hendrick Hamel 'stayed' there and 'was helped', cause when I looked up Dutch sources of the story, it says he was imprisoned and eventually fled. Really interesting how two countries have totally different interpretations of what actually happened PS. The Dutch sources do say that even though they were not allowed to leave, they did have a bit of freedom and the king was surprisingly friendly and gave them jobs as guards. After part of the crew escaped to the Dutch trading port in Japan, Japan made a deal with Korea to let the rest of the crew go (Japan traded a lot with the Netherlands and Korea). However, some members left children behind and one member of the crew actually stayed in Korea voluntarily as he had build a family with a Korean woman. Overall, really interesting story
I can't find the words to explain how much joy your videos bring me! I'm not in my best moment right now and your videos are just... healing. I love the way you capture places through videos and pictures, it is so special and cute. Thank you for being such a sunshine and providing us with this beautiful and lovely content! 💖
random but I might actually make German subtitles for this pretty vlog because my mom and grandma who aren't fluent in English would love watching this haha
1) I love the way you edit videos!😭💕 2) I like watching your solo trips because it gives me more courage to become a flight attendant~ even though I’ll be on my own sometimes I can still enjoy myself
The colours in this video were so pretty! 😍Also, I'm a little afraid of heights but I still think I would have gone on that glass bottom cable car, what a pretty view! What was the song playing from 14:32 onwards? I couldn't figure out which one it was from the description and it's stuck in my head now haha 👉👈
cari!! this vlog is so pretty 😍 honestly i've watched other youtubers in korea but (no offence to the others) i've never seen vlogs like yours. your videos are so calming to me and i always feel like i'm seeing/doing the things alongside you :) ps i was hoping you'd get the glass-bottom gondala so thank you for losing a few years to show us that!
I finally made it on time kinda 😫 And man that water looked so much clearer than what I’m used to seeing in SD at least haha it’s so beautiful there. Thank you for always showing us these cute little cafes too btw I just love how each one looks so different and has almost like its own personality ☺️
Thanks for Yeosu trip. I was born and raised in Yeosu and now living in California. You missed my favorite place O-dong-Do island and Ja-San park on top of hill next to the cable car arrival station which has amazing view of water and islands
I love this vlog, beach towns are the most relaxing and deliciously beautiful to visit, there's something silently mysterious about them. Thank you Cari
I have a video of Hyangiram! Our kids thought it was very cool. (We went in the evening to catch the sunset but there wasn't really much of one that night. Still beautiful though!) Lovely video! I like the nice mellow vibe. ^^
Hi cari . Just wanna say I really love the music you play over your vloggs. Your vloggs as always are beautiful and I feel like I’m getting to know South Korea well .🥰🥰🥰
I downloaded this video, watched it while I'm on the bus going to work... i just remembered to leave a comment and now I'm rewatching. Freaking beatifully edited! ❤❤
Cari thank you for this lovely video. Your videos are very soothing, now I really want to visit Yeosu one day! Wish I had visited more places when I was living in Korea.
I like that you did this as a solo trip, despite the communal aspect of Korea, actually BECAUSE of it, the contrast. When you go to live there, it is a lonely lonely time, and everything is vivid in its newness. Go again in spring! ( avoid the summer monsoon) Living there felt like being in Sorrento Italy, or perhaps Seattle or Duluth. The beach was my after work haven to swim in. You went to my favorite places, and some places I didnt get a chance to see. ( those cafes, wow) It is so artistic there, and now watching this I miss it.
You know that thing about training a dog with a bell or something to that effect, I think you did that to me cuz everytime I see you stop at a cafe I make a cup of coffee lol
I was about to go to sleep but THANK GOD I didn't!! I love this video so much! The colors, the houses, you in the cable car! Totally understand! I rode a cable car in China and it was not as safe as that one! Girl, trust me. I prayed a lot! Ahhahaha Damn, I just love this video so much! Yeosu is now in my list of places to visit when I go to South Korea! ❤😘😘
Your comment about the bus ride made me grin so hard! ^^ I was in Korea earlier this year and as I wanted to go to 해신당 공원, I took an intercity bus from 강릉 to 속초 and from there the "normal" bus. It should also have taken around 2hrs and it only took 45min! The driver didn't even stop that long, even for the ajummas and ahjussis! He also sped so fast around the corners and cliffs that we were so afraid and had to hold on for dear life, haha! :D Buses in Korea are so interesting, I was in Korea for only two weeks and have so many bus stories! 😂😂 Also: Thanks so much for inspiring me to properly begin learning korean! People were so happy when I as a foreigner could speak even a few words in korean, so I wanna be able to speak at least a little more for the next time that I visit Korea. 💖
The cities by the coast are so so beautiful, it doesn't matter in which country you are, the people are so friendly and the city feels like home somehow. I don't know if I only feel like that because I live almost by the coast lmao. The city is so beautiful, and the glass thing trip was so beautiful but I think I would never do it because I'm scared as fuck of heights. Thank you for sharing your trip with us Cari! And please, go to as many cafes you want because we love to see the different types of cafes around there 🥰💜
I discovered this city by accident, and I came on UA-cam to check how it looks. Your vlog is aesthetically gourgeous, and Yeosu itself seems great! Does it have a tourist-town feel to it? Or more like an underrated ocean-side city? Sooo relaxing! 🥰
(Watching in April of 2021) but I just wanna say that your vlogs are my absolute favorite! I watch one every night after school they literally get me through law school 😅 Pls pls don’t ever stop making videos💛💛
Hey Cari! thanks for always being such an inspiration for going out and exploring by yourself! I took a little solo road trip around Victoria, Australia last weekend and at first I was a little nervous because people reacted to it oddly when I told them but I really enjoyed myself! Keep doing what you're doing I love your content! Have a good day!

You know that thing about training a dog with a bell or something to that effect, I think you did that to me cuz everytime I see you stop at a cafe I make a cup of coffee lol
bahahah reminds me of when jim trained dwight to want a mint everytime he restarts his computer in the office!
hahahah omg yeah i think im done with the cable car life ahhhh
you're so brave to go on solo trips! your vlogs always bring feel-good vibes, thank you
Korea is a great place for solo travel🥰 thanks!
I never get tired of watching Cari Namjooning around the world, but this is gold level 5:30
Buses in Korea are so interesting, I was in Korea for only two weeks and have so many bus stories! 😂😂
Also: Thanks so much for inspiring me to properly begin learning korean! People were so happy when I as a foreigner could speak even a few words in korean, so I wanna be able to speak at least a little more for the next time that I visit Korea. 💖
Omg i can totally imagine that ride hahha glad you made it to your destination!! And yeeee korean is such a fun language to learn :)
And please, go to as many cafes you want because we love to see the different types of cafes around there 🥰💜
agreed! i think being by water is good for your mental health :)
Cari, my list of places to visit in Korea keeps getting bigger and bigger because of your vlogs..! lolol loved the vibe of this city!

That coffee dessert cafe by the water looks amazing 😍😍😍😍
that glass bottom cable car is so AWESOME!!!
Hey Cari! thanks for always being such an inspiration for going out and exploring by yourself! I took a little solo road trip around Victoria, Australia last weekend and at first I was a little nervous because people reacted to it oddly when I told them but I really enjoyed myself! Keep doing what you're doing I love your content! Have a good day!
Yesssss!! Go see the world 😻
