Let me say this. Living in London, I would dial into the right frequencies and stored the UTV channel on my DVR box just to watch Julian Simmons doing the links for Coronation Street. He always made me laugh.
He's actually well spoken. He only puts on a thick Belfast accent when introducing coronation street as if he's chatting in the hairdressers with the people who actually watch it lol
@@SALTOWNPRODUCTIONS2 UTV to me just sounds like a nice channel name. I dont know if its just because that i'm northern irish but UTV sounds way better to me than "itv northern ireland"

@@closedaccount411 I said it in the last comment lol
On the skybox right? - did the same haha
"Especially when it's got a nose like a cooker hood" LOL!
LAUGH OUT LOUD !!!!!
U.T.V. isn't the same now without Julian's good sense of humour I think we need a sense of humour on tv to help brighten our day
ITV in the Face led me here. This guy is fantastic! Sad that UTV sold itself away.
I watched him reading the news, and his accent sounds so much more different.

A national treasure💎
Bring this man back already ffs, he’d be a hit across the whole of the UK and Ireland
Left NI 34 years ago but remember Julian well
"A severe dig in the bake" geg! lol
Came here from "coronation Street donk" on soundcloud. Glad I got the sample
Cracking, the best opener in the UK for Corrie!!!
When he rolls his eyes... Lol
This is now something of the past, as Julian has been axed as an in vision announcer.
His eyes are doing all sorts of acting.
This was the last station ever (to my knowledge) that did IVC's
a severe dig in the bake
😂😂 and especially a broken nose like a cooker hood 😂😂😂
I always remember how hilarious this was. I wondered why he never did one for Emmerdale
But now on the UTV...
And NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW on the Utv........
I don't know how he gets so many words in the one breath. Like, breathe, honey. breathe.
And THIS is why UTV is shit nowadays....no characters like Julian.....bring back on-screen continuity
But NOY on the yeeteevee!
I remember hearing this now I wish I paid more attention :(
a leperd never changes its spots
UTV means "Ulster Television". That's why says "The UTV" It's another way to say "The Ulster Television".
But 'The Ulster Television' doesn't make any more sense than 'The UTV'. Still, it scarcely matters now...

Girly: also, he is announce that magic box is coming up ,along with utv, and bbc special and his funny "simulcast" part ooooof
How do they all say the word "now" as if it has three syllables?
Some man is Julian so he is like
he classic,
But naur on the UTV, It's The Chase
LOL
Whatever happened to big Vera’s ashes?
They became a lying, cheating, two-timing bigamist.
.. .
I'm having a stroke
Too bad pre recorded continuity is cheaper than faces
ET in an anthia Tunner wig. As
Snagal would like to donkey punch Julian after reaming his tangoed pipe
Da fuq?
Not remotely funny
u have no sense of humour
O.O
