- A B-model for the 42131 Lego Technic set, Cat D11 bulldozer.
Like the A-model, the snow groomer features a motor-driven gearbox that pilots four functions: raising / rotating / closing of the blade + raising of the tiller. The model also features a functional tiller and L6 engine.
Instructions available at rebrickable.co...
Thanks for this built, man! I just finished it and it looks great with all the little details. Hats off for all the mechanics of the front blade - it's really elegant! 🤩
We actually took it to groom the real snow 😀
Wow... and how did that go??? (and thanks for the positive feedback :) )
@@alterlego8852 it works great on a fresh puffy powder: both pushing with front blade and grooming with the tail; but on the hard icy snow it was struggling due to lack of contact between the tracks and the wheels: i could see how they lack tension. But it didn't ruin the fun 🙂
@@maksimiavorskii2597 well, it was certainly not designed with a real application in mind ;) I was not expecting it to actually work, in particular the grooming!
@@alterlego8852 Next time we have a snowfall, I’ll share a video in action
Awesome build, I now like it more than the d11 cat. Thank you for sharing and will be looking forward to more of your builds.
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it.
Nice job ❤ looks beautiful
Excellent build and set
Very cool model! Well done!
Fantastic job! Congratulations!
Thanks!
Looks better than the D11
Awesome! Really liking your alt builds. I may just want to build this one instead of the main model!
Thanks, glad you like them!
Update: draft of instructions completed (543 pages!). Now entering benchmarking phase (basically rebuilding the model following the instructions to make sure everything is reasonably clear...)
Nice work 👍👍
It is there! The instructions are available at Rebrickable: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-130579/alter-lego/42131-alternate-snow-groomer/
They include details on how to build the remote controller with the Powered Up app.
557 pages, available for 7.50 euros.
Wonderful Moc ❤I love it , is there instructions somewhere ?
Thank you! The instructions are on their way... It is a rather complex model, so it takes a bit of time. They will be available at Rebrickable.
@@alterlego8852 ok that's good news , i understand it's a lot of work
So this can be built just having a D11 set? Or is additional miscellaneous needed?
Indeed, it is an alternate, so no extra part is needed. Only can the official D11 app not be used to control the groomer, one needs to make a dedicated controller using the Lego Powered Up app (instructions for designing this controller are also provided).
Can you control the blaid will driving forward?
In theory yes, because these functions are independent. However, because this is my very first Powered Up program, I couldn't make it work properly and could only implement one function working at a time. This being said, in practice, you already need two fingers to drive the model, so it would be challenging to operate the blade simultaneously...
Thanks im planing tu build this model and add buwizz
Where can i vindt the building instructions
They will be available at Rebrickable.com. Please bear with me (see previous comments). 3D modelling is ~60% done...
Do you have the build instruction available?
They are being made and will be available at Rebrickable.
Thank you. Looking fwd for it to be available at Rebrickable. Any additional Lego parts needed?
It's an amazing design you have made.
@@1Route2Heaven Nope, this is 100% alternative build, only the original set is needed.
Wonderful, thanks.
