ESPN's Kris Rhim Joins to Talk OTA Standouts DJ Chark, Ladd McConkey and Jim Harbaugh's Unique Ways

- ESPN's Kris Rhim joins the show after attending all of the Chargers open OTA's and discusses being impressed with receivers DJ Chark and rookie Ladd McConkey. Rhim also discusses how Jim Harbaugh uses a hands on approach at practice getting in on the drills with the players in his cleats.
Dan and David talk with the Chargers beat writer about all things OTA's and ask if he is buying in on the Quentin Johnston hype. Rhim thinks that QJ should be better in 2024, but how much better is unclear. The guys also get into Justin Herbert's best practice yet, and how he could show his greatness better with a more stable offense around him. Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz did a great job surrounding him with talent at value, but Rhim says why it can be a risky approach hoping for many players to bounce back.

Pipkins at GUARD! YES ! .... Max Crosby is not happy. He just lost 5 sacks per year ... vs the Bolts.
Crosby comes off the edge and Pipikens will be playing inside. Wi that said, I hope Pipkens does great at guard, but if he is blocking Crosby somebody is out of position

All your shows are fun & informative, but this one was great.
For all those who thought drafting a 'great' receiver at #5 this year... I hope you are seeing we made the right choice drafting Alt. If Justin Herbert is not protected we are going nowhere. Having a running game is vital and when you pair that with a smart, talented QB who can throw players open you can score with anyone.
After this the keys are defense and special teams. Our ST are covered; this season will depend on our defense... GO BOLTS.

Keenan played most of the last 3 years, the games he didn’t play last season Herbert didn’t play also
I’m not gonna say anything bout mikewill but Keenan was not overpaid, he only missed 9 games in the last 3 years and was great/elite for 2 of them

I can't wait to see Harbaugh running down the field and still be pouring it on with the score 55-21. It's gonna be like the old days when the game would be close until the 4th quarter when they're running the other team off the field.
Seriously, I love raiders revenge for the opener. They think they're bad ass scoring all those points off poor Stick. Let's see how they feel after seeing Herbert and a first string that's actually trying
DJ is the only receiver on this Squad that I would bet on having a comeback year. Pretty much every receiver on this squad has to show more than they had the previous year. I think Ladd will be great until he gets smacked...which will be quick and will affect his play. Quentin does not have the off the line ability. And I think we seen Palmer at his best. The rookies are are too raw to even guess.

It's funny, I'm not concerned at all. If they go 5-12 they'll kill the draft next year too. I think the Bolts will better next year though. This team had no depth last year. We'll be better against the run, run the ball better and have far better depth.
They'll win 8-9 games....I'm cool with that as long as there's an improvement every year
I honestly feel like there's very little chance of them winning less than 10 games given the improvement in coaching, running game, and defensive scheme.

"Needs work on the machines"? "Needs work on his CONCENTRATION?" Come on, fellow fans.
He'll be competing for WR 4/5 ...... maybe. He has NO HANDS, he's a BODY CATCHER. Herb doesn't trust him.
I say trade him before the season, (while he still has some old college appeal.) He's a Telesco miss, a BIG MISS.
It's way too premature to quit on him.
