Broadway Limited really are the Kings of HO steam. I recently aquired a UP FEF-3 grayhound. Simply blown away. Also a few members at my club have quite a few BLI models from Challengers to NYC Niagras. The paragon 4 generation diecast models and Brass hybrids seem to be really setting the standard for HO Steam and I love it. This GS4 is absolutely stunning!
@@MrSEANDEERE I agree with you. I love BLI steam locomotives. This GS4 is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are what drew me to it. Thank you for watching!
Very impressive and handsome looking GS4 class locomotive model, this is a fantasy scheme model lettered for WP and it's a shame that the WP never owned any GS4's. I personally would like to see a GS4 model in the black/ silver paint scheme from the early-mid 1950s period which were the final operating years for SP steam power ; the black/ silver paint scheme is interesting to me because it's a nice contrast to the popular "daylight" paint scheme and that makes it unique as an SP GS series locomotive.
Yes definitely a beautiful model. I’d like to see the black and silver too. I’m not too keen on the Daylight Scheme. They released the GS4 in black and silver/white but it is the BNSF version used for elan employee appreciation run. Thank you for watching!
Wow that is such a good looking locomotive from BLI. I'm liking that paint scheme. I can't wait when BLI will eventually release the Union Pacific Business Cars, I'm gonna hopefully buy all but I might stick with Kenefick first it depends.
This paint scheme looks perfect on this engine. I still can’t get over it haha. Yes I’m excited about the business cars too! Same as you, I’d like all of them but if any of them I’d wan the Kendrick too! I have a huge video regarding the UP heritage excursion trains coming up around next week so keep an eye out if you are interested. Thank you watching!
Happy to see they finally went back to a sturdy box…. Only to copy the Piko/Lionel brass blister. Broadway needs to return to basics with their boxes. Engine looks good and video is good. Broadway just keeps giving me headaches.
Just received my gs4 #4442 on of the last ones from FDT. It maybe me or maybe the driveline needs to break in because it stutters while moving forward at a slow pace.
@@modelrailroadingthesouthwest had to do my first refill on the smoke. Afterwards I noticed the smoke coming out the underside of the engine. Blew down the smoke stack and all was fine until a few minutes later when the smoke started going out underneath the engine again.
@@YeOldeGeezer I noticed mine do that a couple times. There could be a gap somewhere in between the smoke unit and the smoke stack. It happened mostly right after refilling the smoke fluid.
Thank you for watching! What should I use to point stuff out? I can’t seem to find something that would be a suitable alternative. The packaging is great.
@@modelrailroadingthesouthwest Look up "black stick spudger" They are great for point at things, without damaging or leaving marks on your models. You can also get them in red in the event you are showcasing a locomotive or rolling-stock in black. Hope it helps! Also, Seriously great quality video. I love the close ups. It's such a a fantastic model! I got my excursion model of 4449 yesterday.
I love this locomotive. I just got my Broadway limited fef-3 and would also like to get one of these
These GS4s are magnificent. I highly recommend them. Thank you for watching!

Just received my WP GS-4…. Amazing engine… what a beauty!!
Great model that’s for sure!
Just got my WP last week, it really looks great in that silver and orange.
It’s quite the model. I’m glad I went for this one.
Nice I do got sp 4449 excursion version with southern pacific lines on it. Very nice train and the video.
Oh that’s sick! These GS-4s are top notch. Thanks for watching my video!
@@modelrailroadingthesouthwest No problem thanks
Great looking Locomotive !!!
Thank you very much Mike!

knida cool , just wish they had put the single headlight and the elephant ears on it ;)
That would have been cool!

This packaging is an improvement. I agree with you that Broadway needs to go back to some of the original packaging.
Can’t wait to get one and put a new speaker and the ESU adapter board in it!!!
That’ll be pretty cool!
Once you get a hold of one, you won’t want to put anything else in there. The speaker is absolutely awesome at putting out deep bass
Same about that esu adapter

I noticed that at first too. It’s perfectly fine now after a couple hours of run time.

Wonder how this compares to the latest bachmann version
I’m not too sure. It would be interesting to see them side by side!
Great video. I was also blown away by the new packaging. Also, please stop using pencils for a point stick. It gives me so much anxiety!

Not sure a paper clip could work
Cut a Popsicle stick to a point
BL loves playing with playing with fictional livery appliances
All manufacturers have gone that route. I’m not a fan of fictional paint schemes. This is the only model that I actually liked.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
