First impressions are always everything and is the reason I left my last shop. I was always looking for new ways of getting my clients into a great experience and it’s hard to do when the owner has different interests that are hard for me to give them great experience and first impressions.
What up I'm a shop owner in Fayetteville, and I came by your shop. I was really impressed! It actually made me step my game up. Thanks for this info it is definitely need in our profession!
Everyone likes to talk about how a barber suppose to be or things to do, but never address ownership. Things the owner must do. The daily clean, mopping, bathroom, phones working, the presentation, look , smell , etc. The difference between commission barber and a contract barber ( paying rent) . Owners the do nothing but try to dictate and collect money. Not knowing the true ins and out. These are topics that need to be addressed. Facts!
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. As blacks (not all) we have to set high standards in the area of customer service. Everything is about image, and how you feel. Thanks!
I’m new to a barbershop/beauty salon and we don’t have someone in charge and no rules or cleaning schedules but they are a lot of chiefs and no Indians.
Dope video, I'm a fairly new shop owner and I'm about to do my first booth rental increase how do I have that conversation with the barbers? Is it something I try to get them all together and talk as a group or should I talk to each barber 1 on 1? Etc.
Definitely all together at first , build a great bond with certain barbers that are liked and respected by the rest of the team and make them your enforcers .
