What sold me on the PTSD was when he said he was done crying and felt ashamed because he thought he was bringing joe down. I wasnt sure until then. Poor guy.
he's a lying fool who got himself in the situation and will get himself into many other situations in the future while insisting that it's other peoples problems
“I’m harder than life and kinder than love.” From 17 minutes of hearing this man speak, I can 100% believe those words. This is the most amazing man I’ve ever heard speak.
I feel the same. I don’t think I have ever heard anyone speak this way and affect me more. God is so good - for this man to have God with him and get him through this and come out on the other side with the empathy he has is just amazing and beautiful
@b.r.1087most human suffering is caused by human sin, this mans history prove it, besides, christianity is based in suffering in life, not in being happy.
Its a massive testament to his character that whilst being tortured in prison his revenge plan was simply to be a good person regardless of what they did to him.
I won't lie his kindness is off the charts ill became a menace to society after that. I already don't believe in love now do that to me and ill become a full blown monster. I have no shame to say so either ill have nothing to lose at that point and ill be glad to run it with anyone. He is stronger than me in a way i can't be. That is holding on to his heart even through all that and he has my respect ill tossed it away. That man earned my respect but i know i can't do that one thing there is keep my heart i know my limits and that is something he got way more strength then me in. The strength to maintain a Humane heart in our society is a strength most of us don't have or most is to scared to be honest in saying. i know myself well enough to know ill wanted revenge even if i had to follow a few home. Ill felt nothing and slept good at night too doing it. For this man to maintain his kindness is a very hard thing to do in fact im impressed he didn't break he didn't crumble he pushed forward with his humanity intact and im lost for words on how he did so. '' He said he is harder than life and kinder than love'' which i feel is correct on this guy. I been through some Sh*t i won't share and i thought mine was bad nope his is more traumatic than mine. If i was rich i would gladly travel with this guy be good friends and show him kindness i don't share with most because he deserves it. Trauma from this will be forever but it doesnt mean he can't experience some light to overwhelm the darkness that is always with him. Wish this man the best and hopefully some good come out his life.
Give this man anything he desires. He was thrown in with the wolves, treated with disgust, lived an inescapable nightmare, but through all the horrors that chiseled away at this man, an unbreakable kind spirit was revealed. This is a man of purpose, with values, beliefs, and an iron will. He can't be bribed, bought, or sold. I wish him happiness and peace.
Haha are you serious? You’re that gullible? He’s had everyone fooled! actually look him up. in the full interview you can tell Joe’s bullshit meter is going off halfway through. I decided to look him up and he’s got a serious rap sheet and apparently a history of compulsive lying-the guy uses an alternate account and replies to himself on twitter calling himself a hero. He apparently begged and threatened the producer of a show for more money. Very shady guy- even if innocent of this crime. This
People talk about David Goggins, and it’s true David is a soldier and unbreakable. But nothing compares to this. To go through so much adversity, trauma and struggle takes more than a human. He is the definition of strong, the definition of resilient, and the definition of patience
I thought of this too. Although they shouldn't be compared, Nick might be the strongest person mentally I have ever seen. There's us mere mortals and then there is guys like Goggins and Nick.
ngl as soon as I seen this I thought the same thing but goggins mentions many times he’s not the strongest or toughest person he knows it and there experiences are way different
This guy has had the hardest life imaginable and sits there and apologizes to joe for even having to make joe imagine what he’s gone thru. This guy is an actual saint I feel horrible for what they’ve done to this man.
People arent commenting about how articulate he is even with all his disabilities. His mission to speak passionately and clearly was a success and now 2+ million people respect this man and his story. God bless you nick
That's one of the most powerful stories I've EVER heard! I'm sat here fighting back the tears, picturing what this guy went through. I hope you find peace for the rest of your life, you deserve it!
Absolutely disgusting and tragic what they did to this man. The raw emotion really affected me. I'm so happy he survived and he can tell his story now.
There are people out there, lots of people, who think it's impossible to convict an innocent person. They have that much faith in law enforcement and prosecuters. They don't believe they would ever lie.
My heart feels shattered for people. As a teenager I always assumes we were humane. It never crossed my mind to check. But life happens and you grow. That illusion was torn apart in my 20s. I hate this is reality, I wish we could help.
This dude really is the definition of tough. Ain’t nothing wrong with a man crying who’s been through literal hell on Earth What absolutely shocks and should terrify everyone is what other humans are capable of doing to other humans with malicious intent. We need to do better.
He sounds n looks like he’s lying, even joe I don’t feel loooks like he believes this guy lol.. especially after he skips from waiting after the helicopter had him pinned to being in Florida joes like “uhh how did you end up in Florida”
@@BruceWaynesFactory He said he was put on death row in Florida. You can't fake that something like that. He would have had to have been in Florida. A check of historical records would be enough to prove this right or wrong.
@@BruceWaynesFactory this is in the 1980s and he took a plane from new york to florida and airports were not as strict as today. People would bring guns and weapons during this time on planes. I went to Iraq, came back safe, lost my leg in hit n run, had my kids taken from me for no other reason, than just for the ex to be hateful. I'm currently homeless, in a shelter, but that's nothing in comparison to this man. God bless you bro.
Man thats awful. Hang in there dude, you're strong. I hope things get better for you. Hope is not lost. I've never gone through anything like that so I can't really offer anything other than words but I genuinely hope that with time things get better for you.
What a mixture of emotions.blind rage at the disgusting American judicial system and such sadness and compassion for this guy. You rock man, not many could have survived and come out as well as you have. Much love to this brother
alone the fact that he didn't become a monster after what he endured is respectable. some people commit suicide because of relatively benign things, he on the other side has put so much effort to live forward and didn't give up, and i respect that because life isn't easy.
Everything this guy has been through and he's concerned about how him telling the story of his own abuse is making Joe sad. What compassion and empathy he has.
Man yall really are fooled easy this fool and innocent even if he did not do wat they said he did im sure he did that to someone else if not who the said and he admits to do eveything else im a great judge of character and of energy and this guys eyes energy is off and hes fake as fil corse America is so easy fooled
Often people that have been through horrible experiences try to be the most empathetic towards others, both because they are more aware of suffering, and because the last thing they want to do is inflict it upon others
No. His ability to recall exact dates shows he's a calculated liar & evil guy. I don't believe in the DNA test. He got lucky. I've been around all types of these dudes, and something doesn't sit right with me. There's psycho's out there with intelligence to trick people....this guy gots all of you.
It never ceases to amaze me when you look at the names of the derogatory comments what they reveal . Catch yourselves before shooting a thumb too a buffoon or similar .
Cornballs. Since when is genuine love something that can be turned on and off like a light switch anyways? Stop simping hard over the fake routine that he puts on in front of cameras and tell him to go decide to be a loving father to his daughter that he chooses to be estranged from, due to a beef that he has with the mother over growing weed.
Are you actually aware of what he did? He tried to frame an innocent man for somebody's assault and death whilst he was in prison awaiting trial for drug driving and fighting witha cop. He was then caught out and then charged with the death that he tried to frame an innocent man for. Do you think that makes him a good man? I personally dont, seems to me he deserved those 22 years in prison.
@@mustangx he got 4 million in 2008. However he seems to have blown all the money. Maybe on drugs and his 4 divorces. Hope he finds some peace in this life
I'm going to watch this another couple of times. In the face of what he's gone through, still trying to be a better human day after day... A true lesson of life, absolutely amazing
Appreciation of what, paying your hard earned tax and staying blessed that they don’t bust open your door and take you to psychologically fuck your conscious perception in every possible way your 5 senses are triggered, we’ve gotta show government where they belong!
I am sitting here bawling my eyes out. I was incarcerated for 3 years in a pa womens prison and it was the worst experience of my life, I left with PTSD. The fact that this man spent all those years inside, being tortured and tormented and still have a positive attitude, gives me so much hope. I'm so happy he was finally proven innocent and set free physically from that place. I pray that he is one day free from the emotional and mental trauma.
This is one of my favorite episodes/clips. The resilience in this man is absolutely staggering. He changed his life around after being dealt the worst hand possible. A true inspiration.
He reminds me of a good friend of mine, his name was Robert and we worked every week 60+ hours so we got to know each other pretty well, he spent 13 years in prison for a wrongful possession and he was the most genuine human I’ve ever met, he committed suicide last November and I still live by all of his things he has taught me, I hope he has finally found peace.
If anyone deserves eternal peace and happiness it is your friend. Just when I am about to give up hope in all humanity, I hear about or experience truly great human spirits like ur buddy. Really turned me around 2day. Appreciate that comment and condolences for ur friend.
I wish to meet him someday, there is no way we could even begin to apologise to Nick for what he's been through and yet he's so kind and polite and humble, what a man. "I'm harder than life and kinder than love" is one of the best qoutes I've heard
@@astrotenx Theres multiple instances of his stories not adding up nor making sense. Just do a quick google search. This guy is not credible and his body language says so as well
I can and will not claim to have been through prison or anything like that. But after watching this i feel understood. I spent 10 + years addicted to drugs and on the streets. Kidnapped, tortured, some of the same stuff he’s talking about minus prison. The way he talks about things and starts tearing up is almost exactly how i am when i talk about stuff. Through the years i learned to have enormous amounts of compassion for others. There is a turning point where you decide to either hate or love. I have chosen love. “Fuck this i ain’t crying no more”. But we will always cry more. We don’t want anyone to go through the suffering that we have been through. At least that’s how i have come to understand it. I’m now clean for a long time and am a server. I get notes from people everyday about how they appreciated my kindness and the connection i made with them while they were there. It never fails to make me cry when i read them. So different than what life used to be. Haha people probably think I’m high af because my eyes will be all red and puffy from crying 🤷🏻♂️ Did my best to explain. All the best to you my friend 🙏🏼❤️
Bro. This shit had me a mess. Even at the end of the clip, he acknowledges the grief his story is causing and wants to remove that pain for anyone around him. To suffer alone, without harm unto others, and carry this wrongful burden in solidarity. Us guys got you man. Speak and you will be heard my man. It's no burden to carry a portion of your weight in emotions because your story needs to be told. So that others in your situation have some hope.
For real. His story was so dark but it gives me such hope because he survived to tell the story. And after everything he was never broken. It makes me know I should never be scared. The ugliest of truths is still better than the sweetest of lies. Thank you for speaking up Nick Yarris. You touched my heart in a way that I really needed... ❤️
so you spread all of you pain all over the internet and then say "im not tryna spread no pain" and americans believe you BRO no wonder all of you countries biggest people are dumb and backwards
Calling this an eye opener is an understatement. This is one of the deepest things I have watched. Bless all of those rotting due to injustice, and also the victims of the crimes.
This absolutely moved me. I’m at work crying because this man is able to speak freely about the pain and hurt he went through just to be found innocent. To learn to speak again, learning love.. I truly appreciate this podcast
“I’m harder than life and I’m kinder than love. Secretly I’m a saint. I’ve never hurt no one, I’ve tried my best to be polite every day, and I’ve had misfortune at every turn.” Poetry man
Unfortunately, there is so much evil in this world that being kind and good is way harder than just being ruthless, it's a never ending cycle, the people that become rude and evil it's because of things that have happened in the past. Respect for those who deserve respect, be good without being dumb and naive. I hope he's living a better life.
I can’t even put into words the emotion of just hearing about this man’s life. It’s hard to even imagine someone went through all that and was still sane. It was so overwhelming to listen to, that I’m left speechless.
His documentary is absolutely beautiful! He is a fantastic narrator and his story is so unbelievably insane, that it's almost beyond anything you can imagine! It's a must watch!
You're very naive, J/s He makes many fake crying noises but I see no eye change and zero tears. Do you see any? I have seen fake crying many times, I have studied body language. Nick Yarris likely did not commit that rape or murder, but please remember he was " In prison on unrelated charges" and " A liar" He also had zero remorse about attempting to higjack a car. I know what I am looking at, I have seen it before Guilty of those crimes, likely not A psychopath who is fake crying and lying about at least half of these stories? Highly likely
I’ve never teared up listening to a Joe Rogan podcast before, until this video. Holy Fuck!!! I can’t imagine what that must have been like, and I’m so grateful that you made it through to the other side. I’m so proud of you Nick!
jehst' I don’t think that stealing a car or wallet justifies a man spending his life in prison and getting beaten regularly and psychologically abused. Yes, I would feel the same if he stole my wallet or my car.
You can see by the comments many people don't believe him but it seems he has that problem his whole life. One thing that is true, he was wrongly convicted and nobody believed him then either.
Many people in the comments spend their days and nights on the internet and playing video games - that's THEIR story. They can't even relate to someone who's lived as long as this guy.
Strange Days this guys a mastermind lunatic. He’s incredible. He easily tricked you and anyone else who doesn’t have experience in sociology. Genius this guy. Incredibly impressive Man can this guy dish it out. I really am amazed
unfathomable. being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being convicted of something so heinous that you had nothing to do with. What would that do to you mentally. Ugh
I want nothing but love and happiness for the rest of his days. What a wonderful human being who's been through so much pain. He deserves a national holiday. It takes someone incredibly strong to go through SO much pain and come out the other side a good, positive human being. He really is a saint
Nick Yarris just changed me as a human being. I was actually feeling sorry for myself when I started watching this video. Now, I am grateful for my life. I realize that there are fates much worse than mine.

@@iddomargalit-friedman3897 Thank you so much for your comment. It seems to me that the universe has put us together. I have stage 4 (incurable) bone cancer. I was diagnosed in 2016. He doesn't need to apologize for anything, especially making someone else cry. He may think that his story affects others negatively, but his ability to be there and tell it is probably the most impressive, and, frankly, beautiful things I've ever seen. You don't need to apologize for anything, Nick, because only good things have come from your telling.
I can only admire this mans strength. Despite all of the suffering he endured, and all the ways people physically broke him, they couldn't break his mind. It is absolutely amazing how after all that happened this man not only has the spirit to openly talk about it, to write books about it, but to also do it in a calm and collected manner. He doesn't proclaim hatred for the people who wronged him, he doesn't pity himself, instead he feels sorry for Joe when he sees he was touched by the story. The way a man can still believe in good and remain optimistic after all that happened to him is absolutely amazing. He might have survived his execution but he remains a martyr, and this video- a testament to a man whose spirit refused to die
Colin Walsh i hope you mean animals like cows and such. Because if you are refering to people who are in prison as animals, then i would ask you to consider all the non-violent and wrongfully convicted men and women who are in the U.S prison system.
I'm weeping for this man. Why does this world have to be so cruel. What a beautiful example of a human being. Much love to all of you. Let's remember this whenever we have a bad day and keep him in our thoughts.
He was a terrible person that hurt so many innocent people before these charges , and ive yet t see him even apologize for any of it. He only wants people to apologize to him for their mistakes
Dont put words in my mouth , but to act like this dude is only a victim is preposterous , he was a bad guy who victimized people n then one day he got victimized
this world is a crueler place with this guy in it. What if he stole your stuff and jacked your car.. I think you would reevaluate this guy if his actions hit closer to home.
He is a true soldier He was never broken He was broken physically, but he stayed strong and came back stronger than his other self. God bless this man and I hope he lives a happy and healthy life
nah man his ego has broken at this point he is nothing but an empty shell of a human containing all of the pain he went through and a hell lot of motivation that keeps him going tbh scenarios like these is the only reason why i find such comfort in death that irrespective of however bad it gets it WILL end one way or another and the best part is I have total control over when it does. consider me weak but if and when I have my ego crushed to such a degree that I submit to people inflicting me pain and not have the balls to rip their neck out with my teeth i'd rather not exist I would have failed as a human being and as an organism from an evolutionary standpoint where I have to be fed by my captivators just so they can enjoy inflicting pain onto me and that the only reason for my existence I'd be dead in a week in such situations and would have prolly attacked a guard and he proceeded to snap my neck .

He is a true saint. He never seemed to have a single malicious bone in his body. The fact that he decided not to be angry at those who abused him is a true sign of sanctity. May god bless him.
When he talks about his past with speech I ended up crying because my first impression of this man what that he spoke so smoothly and purposefully. The pride this man should have about every decision he made to better himself is impossible to put in words.
This guy is an inspiration. He went through all that came out as a good man, someone we all should be like. I may never know how everything shaped him on a personal, psychological, and emotional level but he as a person, I would easily want to follow in his footsteps and how he's is just a Saint on earth tbh He is someone we all should be a little more like; kinder, more polite, etc.
not entirely, he is a 4 time divorcee, went back to jail after his last one for criminal mistreatment and theft, and as of 2021 is unemployed and living in a trailer. somehow having gone through all 4 million dollars he was awarded from his wrongful conviction
The 4 million is not enough. And not just cash. Maybe he needs to enforce prison reforms or something similar with advisor counterbalance to stay engaged.
@@timburke7158 oh yes youre hère to still point out all the negative after all the hell he went through that you probably would not survive. Give this guy some credit. He probably didn’t get proper help after he was let out . That’s probably why. Our system is flawed. That’s why .
@French Toast77 I'm not saying he got the help and I'm not saying I would've survived it. that doesn't mean I have to want to be like him, and I listed the reasons why. not saying I don't feel bad for what happened to hi.

@Kemohr Sesay Uhhh, just because people got one thing wrong doesn't validate all of his lies and bs. And to be completely honest, I don't care about the time he did anymore than he cared about using a murder and rape victim as a tool to skip out on his multiple habitual and serious crimes.
The way this man's breath tremors while he's telling this story tells me he has been through some horrific things that human beings should never go through.
As someone who dealt with being falsely accused and faced jail time I feel disheartened for what this man had to go through. Luckily I wasn’t convicted but it was over 2 years of court appeals, probation and becoming judged by some friends. I’m glad my family and my real friends stood by my side.
If I may ask, what is your story about this? How were you accused, what did you "do", etc.? Sorry if that question is extremely personal, my father was falsely accused so I'm a bit curious to hear someone else's story.
@@RandomPerson-ux2yvHis punishments are identical to Jackson Heinzberg's case. Thats probably him. In April of 2020 I was falsely accused, arrested under false pretense, thrown in district prison and made to share a cell with a convicted murderer and a suspected murderer. All this while pregnant. Thank God I was only in the for two weeks. But those two weeks have left me with so much trauma. My husband did everything to get me out on bail. I thought against the state/police in the high court to get my criminal charges and criminal case quashed. I had to fight from March of 2020 till February of 2023 to clear my name and all while my premature new born baby was fighting for her life in the NICU. @T J or maybe it adds to the gravity of him saying this is the most intense thing he has ever experienced by saying he has been homeless and overseas.... because those are pretty intense things.. but u know guess it went over your head cause you were more concerned with bringing this man down and making it more about you.

Nick Yarris you’re my new hero you went through hell and back in this life and experienced horrific tragedies that no human should ever have to suffer through and yet you’re able to share your story and still see the positive in life and spread love even behind all of that pain in those eyes. You’re a Brave soul and you deserve the world. Thanks Joe Rogan for letting this man share his story
I went to prison at Lake C.I., and three officers beat my bunkie to death after he had a mental break down. I can't imagine what this guy went through. It's got to be hard to trust anyone. Much respect, and sorry you had to go through that.
I've been to some of the worst prisons in NY state. Before going u would never believe the stories and thought it was just inmates trying to get over and making it up to ruin a guards career. The things I saw guards do would make the average person puke. I've seen one beating they had to use mops to clean the blood off the roof and ceiling. The worst one wasn't because of how violent it was. It was because he was so calm and calculated. This was the second time I've met true evil in my life. The first one was an inmate who was a serial killer who murdered his wife and that's how he got caught. But he had raped old ladies and handicapped people in wheel chairs and killed them and a child. What made the guard so unsettling is because hes supposed to be the "good" guy. If guards had to wear body cams, there where more cameras, and a reporting system that didn't get shut down because they're over seen by a sgt. Working at the prison maybe these things would change. Even outside staff have w hard time believing reports be cause they're so out there and you are brought up all your life being taught law enforcement have morals and values.
Lake Butler Florida Officer boon beat my ass in laundry room no cameras trying get me fight back broke my jaw never even got to go to a hospital,I told warden and get sent to the hole for 4 months. All that happened cause I laughed in line.
listening to this story made me think how ungrateful and superficial I’ve been with my life, caring about things that don’t matter. Mad respect to Joe for sitting back, letting this man tell his story and asking important questions at the right time to keep the flow. His podcasting skills have hit a new hight here. It scares me to think this man and his story are not as uncommon as they should be. Listening to the pain in this man's voice and seeing it in his eyes will hopefully inspire someone to begin to change the justice system. He has used his intense experiences and instead of using it against people he said no and said I'm going to be a good man I will be kind the fact that he used that to get back at them instead of hate instead of anger is something many cannot do. Thank you for sharing your story.

There is of course the bureaucracy part of capitalism but it is minuscule compared to the amount of wealth one can achieve in this country. The United States, along with everyone nation on earth has its form of corruption the only difference is how extreme or small such acts are. Acts of corruption here are caught on most of the time due to freedom of the press and even if acts do go on behind closed doors they're soon declassified to the public one way or another.

That is so heavy. I cried a bunch watching. Too many people believe in the fallacy of the infallibility of the criminal justice system.
Sooo true. Humans are so fucking dumb for things like this.
Did you really cry? Lol

He only wants people to apologize to him for their mistakes
bc there is not enough people like you
Dont put words in my mouth , but to act like this dude is only a victim is preposterous , he was a bad guy who victimized people n then one day he got victimized
this world is a crueler place with this guy in it. What if he stole your stuff and jacked your car.. I think you would reevaluate this guy if his actions hit closer to home.
You're weeping? Seriously? You beta male punk haha. I never cry.
God damn if the episode STARTS like this, I've got to watch the whole thing
He is a true soldier
He was never broken
He was broken physically, but he stayed strong and came back stronger than his other self.
@@birb2726I’m sorry but I disagree , you only see this side of him when he opens up all of the horrors he’s been through , you have no idea what life he lives on the outside this clip is just him in his most vulnerable state
@broughton1835 he was absolutely broken. Being broken Doesn't mean you can't put yourself back together, often you end up a better person. Trust me I've been broken, I've done time, I've lost everything, but I'm here. I love love and I love taken care of and educating the people around me. Being broken is necessary for some of us sometimes man.
He is a true saint. He never seemed to have a single malicious bone in his body. The fact that he decided not to be angry at those who abused him is a true sign of sanctity. May god bless him.
When he talks about his past with speech I ended up crying because my first impression of this man what that he spoke so smoothly
and purposefully. The pride this man should have about every decision he made to better himself is impossible to put in words.
This guy is an inspiration. He went through all that came out as a good man, someone we all should be like. I may never know how everything shaped him on a personal, psychological, and emotional level but he as a person, I would easily want to follow in his footsteps and how he's is just a Saint on earth tbh
He is someone we all should be a little more like; kinder, more polite, etc.
not entirely, he is a 4 time divorcee, went back to jail after his last one for criminal mistreatment and theft, and as of 2021 is unemployed and living in a trailer. somehow having gone through all 4 million dollars he was awarded from his wrongful conviction
@@timburke7158 dude... did you think I meant all that, everything you just pointed out?
This guy received so many traumatic injuries to the head (TBIs) that he developed aphasia, PTSD, tremors and some apraxia. Insane how one can endure so much. Anxiety is the least of your concerns here. I wish him peace for the rest of his days.
As a man, I have never wanted to give another person a hug so much! So glad this man made it through, I just hope he can keep going.❤
...”What did they do to you??” ..... “They had this thing called Gladiator Day”
Oh God
In an earlier interview, he says it only happened once. He's clearly struggling to maintain his lies.
He went through hell. Unfortunately he is also a habitual liar. He claims he was forced to eat other inmates. That's 1 lie and for shock value when the truth was bad enough. I actually feel very sorry for his daughter he abandoned yet lies about how and why he can't see her. He's gotten donations to finance a visit to see her but he never had intentions to see her to begin with. Take what he says with a grain of salt. He's not what he portrays and deserves an Emmy nomination
@@richardspringer6517 he is a grade A liar liar pants on fire! Cannibalism really? Great manipulation skills.
@@richardspringer6517 Right. In his documentary he says that he got hep C from a dentist's tools along with everyone else but says here that it was from an attack on him by the staff? Cmon. He got it from a dirty needle. Period. That isn't even uncommon for drug abusers. He absolutely loves being a victim.
@Kemohr Sesay Uhhh, just because people got one thing wrong doesn't validate all of his lies and bs. I have yet to even see anyone say something that couldn't be backed with actual facts and proof, unlike Nick.
Basically the victim of a rape accused him senselessly because she was blinded by the sense of justice that she so wanted, as he says he faces the punishments but the victim is made out to be a fool because the whole time she knew what the rapist looked like, she just wanted Jackson to suffer, probably a sadistic woman. He was then freed of his charges.

I'm currently going through this it's been 14 months since it all started and I'm only looking at 9-18 months if I do go behind bars for what I've been accused of
I moved from Europe to India in 2018.
I can't even imagine what this man has gone through. I don't think I'd make it if I were in his place. May God heal him from all this and finally bring him peace 🙏
What a guy. Few times does someone tell a story so gut wrenching it makes you feel like you were there and living it. Almost cried myself.
I'm harder than life and kinder than love. Secretly I'm a saint.

This man has suffered and survived against the insurmountable odds. His mental strength is far beyond many of ours and that has my ever lasting respect for him as everyone else should.
I have been on this earth for over 30 years.
I have been homeless.
I have served in the military and seen combat.
Listening to this however was the most intense 18 minutes of my life.

@T J or maybe it adds to the gravity of him saying this is the most intense thing he has ever experienced by saying he has been homeless and overseas.... because those are pretty intense things.. but u know guess it went over your head cause you were more concerned with bringing this man down and making it more about you.
I heard this mans story a year or so ago. I can not put into words how much his story affected me. I couldnt get his story out of my head for months. I wish i could meet him in person one day. To let him know how much him sharing his story helped me.
Nick Yarris you’re my new hero you went through hell and back in this life and experienced horrific tragedies that no human should ever have to suffer through and yet you’re able to share your story and still see the positive in life and spread love even behind all of that pain in those eyes. I went to prison at Lake C.I., and three officers beat my bunkie to death after he had a mental break down. I can't imagine what this guy went through. It's got to be hard to trust anyone. Much respect, and sorry you had to go through that.
Much respect.
Man i was in a booking cell and watched two guards break a mans arm. I can only imagine what you saw in prison

It scares me to think this man and his story are not as uncommon as they should be. Listening to the pain in this man's voice and seeing it in his eyes will hopefully inspire someone to begin to change the justice system. Not just for Nick but for every person who has had to experience similar situations.

What an amazing story from an amazing man. Someone that has been through it all and seen it all and had stayed positive through the horrible experience that has been his life. The fact that he had kept his great character and faith in his innocence for so long without giving up is incredible. I feel for him. I was a correctional officer for a while and I saw bad things that I didn’t agree with and I believe every word that this man says and I feel his pain. I’m happy to see that he has found freedom and is now able to live the scar that is his past life and teach people how the world really is. People like him are among the strongest people on this planet. I’m happy for you Nick.
All my condolence goes to this man. No one can even grasp to the slightest extend the shit he has been put through. His hearts still in the right place you can tell hes a good person. Kudos to him to talk so openly about this.

This man is a saint. this man decided to be nice and kind in the face of the most ruthless people. He has used his intense experiences and instead of using it against people he said no and said I'm going to be a good man I will be kind the fact that he used that to get back at them instead of hate instead of anger is something many cannot do.
