This was the game that got Denver going. They wouldn't lose another game until that wild one against Baltimore.
Peyton Manning would go on to throw for 4600 yards that year and 37 TD's. He was named 1st team all pro for the 6th time in his career. It was also the 2nd time that he would be named to the 1st team without winning MVP as Adrian Peterson won it that year with his 2000 yard season. The other was 2005 when Shaun Alexander won it with his record breaking season of 27 rushing touchdowns. He was named comeback player of the year however.
Rodgers should have been 1st team but Manning had a great year and the. Went on the next year to have the best year for a quarterback
@@Johnny55671 Oh Yeah He Did
He should have got the MVP over AP
@@PeterOldschool it's AD and no he had a near record breaking season.
@@TylerG60 Adrian Peterson is not AD. AD is Anthony davis, wrong sport.
I remember watching this first half on a school night, so I went to bed at halftime. I was STUNNED when I saw the final score when I woke up the next morning.
That was exactly me
This sparked an ELEVEN game winning streak! Broncos were looking at 2-4 down 24-0 at half. What a turnaround
One of Peyton's greatest comebacks.
Possible only bc his defense made a ton of plays. W/o a great defense, he loses that game by double digits.
lol i like peyton but defense did the work not peyton
Exorcised some demons vs the Chargers
Best Comeback Of All Time, Hands Down Eugene Satele
Almost as great a comeback, for Peyton anyways, as the TB comeback down 14-35. I say 2nd greatest cause defense played a big part in this come back
Another game in which Peyton Manning orchestrated his genius in the 4th quarter. Great clip!!!
that was all his defense and special teams, manning didn't score all the points
Defense bro. Defense
@Keith Cousins no one cares get a life
@Keith Cousins why do you spam unnecessary comments like yours?
I remember this game so vividly, it made me truly believe in the Broncos as a young fan it was everything to see the Broncos beat down the Chargers for the years preceding it SD had really dominated Denver, from the McDaniels era to Tebow and Fox, it was so awesome to see this and go to 9th grade after this kind of win.
This was a hell of a job by the Denver defense not allowing a point and scoring 2 tds in the 2nd half.
Phil Rivers' career in one video.
Two Peyton Manning comeback videos in one week, both from games happening this week that’s crazy 😂
Miss Peyton every Sunday, GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Denver Broncos Against San Diego Chargers From The 70s 80s And Early 90s Totally Amazing Badass AFC West Division Rivalry Underrated ☺🏈
Reminder that the Broncos have not made the playoffs since Peyton was at QB.
Please don't remind us hopefully that ends now that we got Russell Wilson.
Hasn’t LOL
As a Chargers fan this hurts 😂😂😂
At least we’re not the raiders 😆
@AmirKhan-rh6jj Yeah that’s why i’m not a fan anymore since that 27-0 game
It was fall break, so the whole fam piled into the car and drove from Denver to SoCal for the week. We left early on a Monday morning, and as we were approaching Los Angeles it was game time. Hit some LA traffic, but dad had the radio going with the game. It was terrible. Nothing was going right for the Broncos, and because we were in SoCal the only station we could pick up was the Chargers. I had to hear their stupid commentator say in a shrill voice “MOVE THOSE CHAINS” for what felt like a hundred times. To hear all that after a long 15 hour drive while being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic was a literal nightmare. Then Peyton throws a pick-six. Another turnover. Broncos down 24-0. Dad cuts off the radio. At this point, we just wanted to get to the house we had rented.
Finally pulled in, unpacked, sat down, and decided we’d see how the second half had started. Broncos had scored. 24-7. I figured I’d watch a little more. It was a nice change to hear the classic duo of Gruden and Tirico making the calls on ESPN.
Then suddenly it all started to change. Everything came together in the most magical-football sort of way. Sack after sack. Laser strike after laser strike from Manning to Decker and Stokley, defensive touchdowns and takeaways, and on and on. 28-24 Broncos.
And then the icing on the cake….Chris Harris (who I had the chance to meet that previous Summer while he was still trying to make the team) caps it off with a glorious pick six! 35-24 Broncos for good. I nearly lost my voice from all the shouting and excitement. The best part though, was going to sleep that night knowing that Mr. “move those chains” had been silenced 😂😁
Such a sweet victory, and my favorite Broncos game ever.
I have a couple of suggestions for throwbacks that this channel could upload:
Titans at Patriots, Week 5, 2003.
Browns at Ravens, Week 11, 2007.
EDIT: I forgot, Falcons at Jaguars, Week 17, 1996.
I'll take the Patriots game ☺️👍
All gay
Shut up
Back when Denver was relevant. 6 years of losing seasons is tarnishing our winning heritage. I miss PFM. Lord send us a Savior 😂
Lol and how about rn
@@tylerspeir5654 The Lord has answered!!!
Philip rivers ALWAYS Been overated ASF 😂😂😂. I like games like this
I remember being in middle school thinking "Denver's not losing another game" after this comeback
This was a team effort
We need more games from Peyton’s Broncos era, make it if you can NFL TB 🤞🏾
Manning and a Underrated come back
Damn, back when the Chargers had a whole city of fans.....Great times!
Just like to good ol days 😌
I remember watching this game and never really thinking Denver was going to lose, even when they were down 24.
With that 2012 Broncos team, you always knew they’d make plays to catch up and pull ahead. Offensively and Defensively. It’s a shame they blew that year’s playoff at home against Baltimore.
@@antelopecreekrcRaheem Moore
One thing I miss is having Ryan Clady at left tackle because he was always such a secure protector
Gruden at 13:06 after the Rivers pick "you gotta be kidding me" A+
I remember watching this game when I was a kid crazy how time flies
8:59 satisfying td
12:00 Peyton Manning who is not known for being nimble.. what awareness around him and even under him as hops over someone before completing a pass.
Not the most agile and not the strongest arm but my God he's probably one of the best Field general I've ever seen at the quarterback position
So sad San Diego lost the Chargers. Remember the Dan Fouts air Coryell days. An I'm a Bronco Fan!
Who else thought of this after LAC blew their game to JAX?
I couldn't of been the only one lol
I miss watching Peyton play
This game was both vintage Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers.
nah vintage peyton manning and rivers was rivers beating manning multiple times in Indianapolis
My favorite MNF scoreboard graphic
Tom and Peyton. 2 best QB's of all time. next is Montana. followed by Bree's and then Rodgers
The second touchdown was the most clear missed encroachment I’ve ever seen. That fumble should’ve never counted.
absolutely, I remember going nuts. this comeback wouldnt have happened without that missed call
Insane how San Diego led the division, then Denver won this game plus 11 straight
However being down 2 points 12 seconds into the superbowl is far too much for him to overcome.
One of the best to ever play but, he was just flat out terrible when it really counted.
The entire team imploded that game. Can't really blame him too much.
@gbrow1604 The Seahawks defense scored more points than the broncos that game...so, you kind of can blame the guy who touches the ball every play 😅
I was at this game, and it was my first MNF game that I will never forget!!
You just wish Peyton had more moments like this in the playoffs. Outside that afc title game, not a lot of memorable Manning moments in the playoffs that weren’t losses.
LOL casual didnt know manning played defence most of the time it was special teams or defence fault li
@@kobedagoat6395 Lol no true dog. Pretty sure it wasn’t the defense that threw the Pick 6 against the Saints, or 4 Picks against the Patriots, or scored 0 against the Jets, 3 against the Patriots a second time etc.
@@jrad410 LOL &? Hed have a ring in 05 if his kicker didnt fuck up and a ring in 12-13 if rahim moore had a brain
@@kobedagoat6395 right but in that Raven game he also turned the ball over what 3 times including that final interception. And the Steelers game yes the kicker missed, but they got a gift cuz Bettis fumbled.
Nine one-and-dones in the postseason. 6 at home!!!!
ZERO scoring drives in the 4thQ of Super Bowls!
3 TDs passes, 5 INTs and 4 Fumbles in SB.
And this kid blames the defense for that!?
And a ring in 2005?? Blames a kicker in a game AT HOME where Peyton put up 3 points for the first 45 minutes of the game? What a clueless Stan.
Great game for Peyton and a great comeback, I always hated Peyton for some reason and I would always smile when someone talks about the 1998 season, Super bowl 44 or super bowl 48
You would smile when people brought up his rookie season?😂
I still remember this game like it was yesterday. It was 24-0 at the half i said the Broncos were done. Boy was I wrong 😂
Back when we were on it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One of my favorite broncos come back
Damn that Bronco secondary was NASTY! They had a prime Chris Harris in the slot! Tony Carter was waaaaaayy under rated as a #2. Plus the nasty pass rush which automatically makes an average DB become above average from simply for lacing the QBs to rush through progressions.
I forgot how good that team was.
I know it has been talked about a lot but even with that I don't think Peyton gets the credit he deserves for what he did after his injury! Why, 4 neck fusion surgeries & permanent nerve damage in his passing arm & hand!! I literally think it's one of the most incredible achievements in the history of sports & that's a fact!!! He couldn't even throw a ball 10 yards & less than a year later he takes a new team to the playoffs ( a game they shoulda won)!! Also, as I'm watching this I still can't believe that Demetrius Thomas is past away!!
THIS WAS CRAZY..............
am i the only one shocked to (re)learn that von miller has been in the league for a decade?
I watched this whole game and was mad at the beginning but was screaming and yelling with excitement afterwards!!
The Real G.O.A.T.
Your right The Sheriff
I remember that game well great game
RIP Demaryus Thomas
Normalise showing their records before the games
In 2022, I've wondered they need a New Stadium in San Diego, California. And maybe the Major League Football will find a New Stadium in San Diego.
we need a team…. desperately
@@animalcrew882 What Kind of team in San Diego?
@@brysonhardy9082 Football
before watching this i thought there's no way he did this in a playoff game lol
lets go broncos they the best
That drive right after halftime for the touchdown was perfect by Peyton Manning.
Decker and Daniels were the shit!
And to think they are both retired now wow how time has flown by
The Broncos went to win the remaining games of that season. Yes, they were 2-3 prior to this game & after this game, they won 13 straight games. Had Rahim Moore didn’t blow his coverage on Jacoby Jones, who knows.
Simps can say what they want about the Chargers not belonging in LA but looking at that opening shot of Qualcomm Stadium which looks like the Colosseum in Rome.. an ancient dilapidated ruin in shambles, I'm so glad the team is now playing at SoFi Stadium.
Well to me, it was more of a team comeback than what Peyton alone did.
Football isn't for everyone. Female figure skating is probably more your thing.
I played football but a wrecked knee stopped me, and ice skating is actually very fun.

@@michaelnorris6168 Good. So we agree. So no more comments from you about the NFL.
Up 24 on the road at half is a problem for Peyton though
As a chargers fans this is just pain still for my guy phillip I remember watching this game to lol
SD won the day game 24-0
Denver won the night game 35-0
After this loss Philip Rivers was dag-nabbing all over the place.
Seeing that full house of Chargers fans, this makes me think...
Maybe this game was the beginning of the end of the Chargers fandom in general.
It certainly set the tone for collapses in the next decade forward...
It’s nice that there are so many MNF games with Jon Gruden so we can still listen. To him even tho the NFL exiled him.
Crazy how they make wins and losses all about the quaterback like everyother player on the field doesnt do anythin.
STOKLEY DOWN THE SIDELINE WOW!
(Broncos) Peyton and Tom Brady gave rivers hell man
*Rivers
Us broncos need this now!!!
That Broncos defense was damn good. They had an elite pass rush lead by Von and Elvis. They were backed up by a secondary that was lead by HOFer Champ Bailey and one of the top slot corners ever in Chris Harris Jr. That secondary flourished in man to man coverage.
That’s what makes Flaccos 2012 run so much more impressive. He essentially put Champ in retirement because Flacco and Torrey Smith were Torching Champ and that defense all day.
As a Chiefs fan, it always sucked watching Peyton Manning come to Denver and own the AFC West. I wonder how the rest of the AFC West feels with the Chiefs dominating the AFC West the last 5 years?
im tired of my Broncos we dont just need a qb anymore our players are fucking old, all of our LBs in the hospital, the WRs and Fant have been playing worse than usual the only bright spot is our rookies!
Well the AFC West this year is gonna be pretty competitive
@@fhoeschasepape *Chargers
@@fhoeschasepapeare you sure about that? Lmfao 😂
In this video which I have never seen, Peyton, like his brother Eli,are both in HALL OF FAME,BUT there father,Archie would be very proud of his 2 sons, and both Peyton and Eli,both went to the University of Tennessee, as there Alumni would be very proud of them, and there accomplishments but Peyton is no stupid cookie, to understand the defense is not easy at all as the NFL,is set to open soon ,and it's the start of the 2024 season, but this game was played in the 2012 season, some 12 years ago but it doesn't bother me as the Olympics is going on now with the United States teams have the most metals with China in 2nd place, but that doesn't surprise me at all, and the biggest problem in Paris is the quality of water in the river and that's very surprising as in 2 more years will be the winter games.
Legend.
And down 25 is no problem for Tom Brady in super bowl
Sorry falcon fans
That was the time when Recievers had those 80 Numbers
Mike Tirico has one of the greatest voices ever. He should've stayed on MNF
Yeah he was fun to listen to
Fortunately next year, he’s the new voice of Sunday Night Football with perhaps, Drew Brees or Cris Collinsworth again
@@sports3117 is michaels retiring
@@-linusthegoat-4825 Well, he hasn’t announced it. So the answer to the question is not quite yet
@@sports3117 michaels should go back to MNF
Just here witnessing this gem again after the chargers blew a 27-0 lead against the jaguars
I know when you are able Omaha you can do several things on it, but I wish Peyton with explain it better. I’d love to hear it.
Tirico and Gruden were really the duo 😔😔
The nostalgia of this night…… I remember it being a school night so my parents told me to go to sleep but I stayed up because Peyton Manning was my favorite player. The next day at school all my friends came up to me and roasted me because they had not seen the score the next morning 😂😂😂
That was the night Peyton Manning once again became PEYTON MANNING
Manning was one of the greatest ever
Can denver do the same this year??? Week 6 2022 2-3 MNF vs chargers. Can we repeat 2012??
I guess the charges just suck at keeping leads,
Classic Rivers choke job. Does not deserve to get into Canton but will because he played a long time and stacked passing yards as a result.
I was at this game and let me tell you it was berserk!
13:29 any time you were a defender and you saw Peyton Manning bobbing his head up and down, jumping from left to right along the offensive line, going crazy changing the play - awh man, you know a big pass is coming and it will likely be a touchdown. Too funny.
Great catch by Stokes but Manning out only where Brandon could get it.
RIP Demaryius Thomas
Wonder what happened to the wideout Matt Willis....
Was it Peyton or was it his defense forcing turnovers? A little bit of both but to say this was Peyton’s doing is wrong
Antonio Gates one of the TE 🐐
Philip Rivers reactions
Peyton Manning was like "let's let them score a bit in the first half and then in the 2nd half we'll start trying."
I remember this game the chargers really choke in this one
Philip rivers completely choked in this game
