So we have a corona outbreak, Russia attacks Ukraine... A lot of stuff has happened recently so sorry for the delay in episodes, but we should be BACK to our regular weekly show!
In this episode I talk about the Twitter, TikTok, UA-cam, viral video that started the "This is a PEN!" challenge. My stupid sketch comedy bit I made just to poke fun at Japanese media and shed light on how foreigners are looked at in Japan. Little did I know millions of views later, this sketch would appear on Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and probably more, national TV.
And 2 years later, I have still not made another one :p oops

あれは明らかに誇張してるだろうけど、日本語よりも英語の方が破裂音多いし、日本語は音の高低で同音異義語を区別するのに対して英語は音の強弱で同音異義語を区別するから、英語使う人が多い地域の方がコロナが広まりやすいっていうのはあながち間違ってないんだよなぁ
まあ、ペンと pen はどっちも破裂音だから、そういうのを例文に使うあたり、流石マスゴミだなぁとは思うけど
