    That look great! I would cut in a vent in the back in the area that you have your propane so that any gases can escape. That way you don’t have any accidents. Great job though!!

      Thank you so very much 🥰🥰 yes, we will be definitely opening some vents in the back to help with airflow . Thank you so much for the advice, we truly appreciate it!

    Hell of a project! I ended up doing brick tile around my grill myself and did most of it. Stucco is hard without a good float.
    Makes you appreciate the people who do this like artwork

    Great video! Have you heard of ConnecTubes? You can build a real steel frame without welding. The system is super cheap and uses steel couplers and 1.5 x 1.5" square galvanized steel tubing. Highly recommend you learn about this building product to use for bbq frames etc... The price is comparable to track and studs. They even have telescoping cutout kits for less cutting.

    I think its coming out beautifully. But I know less than you. Still if you want it smooth, would adding tiles to the outside work?

    • @TheHandyCreators
      @TheHandyCreators  2 роки тому

      Thank you so much 😊 yes you definitely can add tiles! We plan on maybe doing that in the future if we decide to change the look. We didn’t do it now since it is very pricey .. 🙁

    Is the first layer level or does it slope with the concrete slab? I didn’t see you guys cut any block so was curious about the approach.

    • @TheHandyCreators
      @TheHandyCreators  2 роки тому

      Hey! We added concrete mix to the bottom of the first layer and used that to make sure that it was leveled instead of sloping with the slab. By doing this, we avoided having to make any cuts

    Sweet !! Couldn't you have put the sink on the opposite side ? To avoid all of the cutting and extra work ...

    • @TheHandyCreators
      @TheHandyCreators  2 роки тому

      Thank you!!! Yes, we definitely could of, but for plumbing purposes the location we decided to use was most convenient. We were going to add WAYY more work if we decided to put it on the other side.

    Wondering what you used as a base for your concrete countertops? Is plywood then the rebar?

    • @TheHandyCreators
      @TheHandyCreators  3 місяці тому

      For the base we used Sheetrock before pouring the concrete countertops. We personally did not use rebar but you can for more durability

    Brother it looks amazing, but its alot of work! you could of just built a frame with wood and installed hardyboards all around it and just tile over. much easier! but great job!

    • @TheHandyCreators
      @TheHandyCreators  Рік тому +1

      Lol thank you man! yeah, we get that a lot. The wooden design was a concept we thought about before we started building, but the blocks ended up being cheaper. We have thought about upgrading it and will probably go with a wooden design in the future.

  • @duffslife

    Side note. You didn't use a single brick. Concrete is not used to lay blocks. It is mortar.
