Mostly Ghostly normally you would catch me in the comments digging around, but I’ve been subbed for a long time! Huge Jak fan and Luminar always finds the best stuff!
@@oddheader Yeah I grew up with the Jak games myself. Only beat Precursor Legacy and 3 though. I like checking in every once in awhile to see what Luminar has found, it's never disappointing. Especially if it's something we've only heard about in whispers that Luminar is able to actually show us. Surprised there aren't more views per vid.
It's weird that they still have the eco vents and powers from Jak 1 in the files? I wonder if there was any consideration of ever using them again? Although they clearly don't work any more and the blue eco has basically been broken down at this point.

The blue eco's electricity visual effects are gone, but it still makes Jak and Daxter move faster..

woah jak 3 with eco powers looks so weird but cool at the same time! Im guessing at 1:20 that crate was supposed to be a dark eco box from jak 1 that hurts you and the one on the far right is a normal crate thats unbreakable without yellow eco or flut flut.

This map comes from Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy, the only change in Jak 3 is that they added elements from Jak 3 to test them

The colored eco vents were probably to test concepts for the dark and light eco vents you see throughout Jak 3.
They've been in this level since the first game, but Jak 3 readded some eco vent code and now they are appearing again. They are also placed there in Jak II's halfpipe, but don't work due to missing code.
Really cool! A little bit of everything is there. Interesting.
2:16 isn't that the boulder from the avalanche at Sentinel Beach from Jak 1? XD They should've kept blue eco in the games to use a boost for the jetboard for a speed or boost, that or it would improve the shockwave the board emites. It was straight up said at the end of 1 that Jak can control the eco he works with
Which is also why he didn't die from the Dark Eco experiments
What other notable stuff from Precursor Legacy is in there that can't show do you know of?

Is it possible that the Jak 2 version of Halfpipe contains more leftover from TPL than 3 does, such as perhaps sounds for the Eco powerups or is it all the same between 2 and 3?

I have ALWAYS wondered about this level. This is absolutely fantastic to finally see the level loaded and with evidence of the eco powers! It's a shame the other objects are completely removed. Excuse the ignorance but how did you add the eco back in?

The eco powers are a really cool idea to have in Jak 3, however i think they couldn't really find a use for it if it's purpose has already been replaced with the guns and light/dark eco.
And man, i would love to play as Daxter in Jak 3, imagine the cool concepts, levels or ideas they may've had.
You did play as Daxter in the Deathbot factory.

Also, I think that unbreakable Krimzon Guard crate was one of the steel crates from TPL. And that the purple grid was one of the hanging things for Daxter from 3.

Daxter is a weird one when compared to the Titan Suit. Can’t get him to many areas just by loading another map along with a map that has Daxter programming.

I found this In the trainer but when I teleported to that checkpoint the game stayed on a black screen
The checkpoint will only work in Debug Mode.

@@Nathan55411 Not likely. The tpl eco vents are still placed in Jak II HALFPIPE but don't spawn due to missing stuff. In Jak 3 they brought back code for eco vents, and this made the TPL eco vents work in the halfpipe level.

@@Nathan55411 It is a defined level in the game, but the actual level file was not included on the disc sadly.
So you took the TPL Files and put into Jak 3's Files? meaning you can do the same to Jak 2, right?
No, this is a test level, and it has some leftovers from TPL.
@@DonkeyPlanet Oh Okay, Thanks for the explanation, will there be a video explaining how to get there? I know it's something with savestate because I was able to reach there using a saved savestate. But is there any other way reaching there without the savestate?

Tricks. Played as Daxter since this level contains the playable Daxter.

Daxter is only present in levels that need him. Volcano and War Factory.
