Wow Vermont reminds me a lot of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario.
Glastenbury Mtn. holds a special place for me! I was up there in 2015 too. I got a picture from my wife with her 1st ultrasound of our kiddo! One day I will bring her up there!!
I have been enjoying these videos of Dixie's journey so much. Since I'm from N.H. I can't wait to see the next installment which should be her trip across the Whites. I hope she made it to Katahdin before the cutoff date.

Vermont is such a beautiful State. I love all the trees and the pond ( it would be perfect for a Dirty Dancing re-enactment scene if you can stand the frigid cold water.lol) The Green Mountain House looks so cozy. I'm sure You and your crew was able to get some recuperative rest. It would have been great if you had video tapped yourself cooking, Also great you ran into Perk again and I hope you meet up with Rebel Yell, Rigga, U-Haul and Mountain Goat again too, and anyone else I may have missed. Great job : )

Native Vermonter and we swim in September well I do we went camping in October and ended up swimming in blueberry lake it's in warren Vermont by the long trail you should hike the long trail next it's super fun there's plane crashes to explore and awesome small towns on the way thru
So funny, I'm watching this video on the same date as when she crossed into VT in 2015 but in 2021 lol
You doing a great job can't wait for you to hit Maine.
My in laws live in Vermont. We last visited in June 2018 and planned to section hike the AT, but didn't have the time with family events happening, but we did get to hike Bear Trail I believe it's called and visited Texas Falls which had a beautiful hiking area.

Dixie have you done any studying of the Glastenbury area? You should look into it, It's got a very interesting history. When did you and Rebel Yell split up on your hike? I thought you 2 would have summited Katahdin together.
+D Fuller We parted ways not far north of the Maine border. We hiked many miles together! I haven't looked much into the history of Glastenbury--but, it sounds like I should!

I figured they had to be up to date seeing how it really hasn't been cold enough in Vt. to cool Stratton pond till the last week.
That footage was from the end of August. I've started adding dates at the beginning of the videos to show when she was there. She's should be in Maine now.
Was it weird to stay around a lot of guys? I know you've been with three of them for a while, so you must have been use to them. Though from what it looks like in the part showing around the house; there were no more females.

I grew up in VT. It is a very pretty place. The green mountain state and good ole Ethan Allen. Kind of brings me back... Great place to grow up... but to live, not sure. It gets cooooooold and the winters can be long with lots of snow.

Get baptized by full immersion in water. Die to your old self and be reborn.
Pray to God for wisdom and Truth.
Receive the Holy Spirit.
Trust the Holy Spirit that will dwell in YOU and Listen to nothing else.
