Best X-T2 Review I've seen on UA-cam. Bravo sir! Good job. I hope you do a similar review with the a6500 also. Your photos look absolutely incredible! I would love to see you do a video on your post production process as well. And how you achieve that look. Cheers
I'm doing a live stream this Thursday Nov.17th at 9pm EST if anyone would be interesting in hanging out and asking me any questions about things I might have missed in this review. Or just wanna talk gear. See you there!
Thanks I appreciate it! I always get nervous to release my reviews because I feel like they are too long. But I really want to make sure I spend time on the things that really matter to me. Obviously some things have to get left out. Thanks for watching
Dear Zed ProMedia, I really liked your review! One of the best I have found so far! I am a Fuji X-T1 owner and I am evaluating the upgrade, in particular for the video capabilities of the X-T2! It would be grate to have a live stream to discuss some other features of the X-T2! Thanks! Carmine
I hope they gave you a free camera, because you're selling enough of them. There is something about that sensor that is just spot on and I love it. Thanks, man!
Excellent, informative video. I’m so pleased I bought the X-T2. It’s in “as new” condition in 2024! I’ve put away my X-T30 Mark II. I just can’t seem to get to grips with the latter camera but the X-T2 just performs so well.
Best review out there! I was waiting for your review before ordering. Pulled the trigger on the xt2 with xf16f14, xf35f2 and xf56f12 tonight. Now the wait from B&H. Killer. Upgrading from an a6000 with a handful of primes. Can't wait!
Chazyfizzlez That's awesome! Exciting times! I want to buy that 16mm. But I also want to buy the new 23mmf2 and the 90mmf2. No money for any of it lol.
You have made it so easy to make a decision on these two camera's. The X-Pro 2 and the X-T2. Great review of the product with super examples of images results. Not ladden down with your own personality as with other reviewers vids.
What a great review. Well spoken and truly confident in what your talking about. I just bought the camera and absolutely love it. It's time to put the grip on now. Keep up the great work. 👍
One of the best X-T2 reviews I've seen, and thanks for putting them out in 4K. Especially for reviewing image quality, 4K is a no-brainer, don't know why more channels haven't switched yet. It really helps that you can speak from first hand, extensive experience since you've used all the APS-C big guns (this, a6300, and D500), but a while back you said you were looking for something that could do everything. I guess the a6300 will stick around for video, unless firmware updates add some of the missing video capabilities. I know many photographers don't care, but to me it's a big bonus that the X-T2 is such a good looking camera. You can tell they care about the design, whereas Canon and Nikon cameras are just blah, purely utilitarian objects.
Robert Kwolek yeah I've been trying to put out everything I can in 4K because all the technology exists so why not? It's just not as fun to edit haha. Yeah the a6300 will stick around for video. I'm going to sell the d500. I'm just holding on to it to make comparison tests. And I'm shooting a big event this weekend where there might possibly be rain. I trust the d500 in a full day of weather vs the xt2. Every camera has its place and it's advantages.
Zed ProMedia X-T2 is rated weather resistant too, isn't it? I'm curious as well, any plans for new lenses in the near future? I've read good things about the 90 f/2 for portraits.
Yeah it is weather resistant but the 10-24mm lens I want to use isnt. There are no ultra wide WR lenses from Fuji yet unfortunately. Yeah some day when I have enough money saved up I will get the 90mm. I've tried it in store and its really nice. But that is no real test of course haha.
19:02 You sir are a legend. I'm new to Fuji and for the life of me I could not find out how to magnify the view on the screen to aid in focussing (e.g on stars in the night sky). I've been looking for hours and hours. I think I searched the whole internet! I almost gave up on this video but flippin' glad I didn't. Cheers mate! A spinny wheel that pushes in, who would have thunk it haha!
See, I've seen so many reviews and I was torn between the a6300 and the XT-2. In order to make a choice, I had to realize that the "perfect camera" which satisfies all my needs won't ever exist. I mean it really comes down to what kind of work you are doing and whether the flaws are are acceptable for you or not. I'll go with the XT-2 mainly because of the stunning image/video quality and for the look and feel of the camera. It does almost all the things I need to the best of its abilities and offers the best value for me. Your reviews are always down to point. Thanks for your insight Lee!
Myythe that's basically what it is. All the cameras coming out in the last year have been awesome. They are all capable of so much now compared to the old days where it made sense to spend 3-4K on a good camera. The XT2 is a superior camera. So is Fuji customer support. That is something no one ever talks about in the Sony vs others. All anyone looks at is the mile long spec sheet and gets stars in their eyes. Wait till their camera has a problem :S
One of the best reviews so far, nice one! I must admit to having a love hate relationship with the XT1, after 2 years I just love it! It does rekindle your photography fire. I seem to have always had a Fuji camera from the early days of digital compacts and when I got the X100s it totally sold me. For me it is the best digital camera, period. It punches so far above its weight I can't help but love it. My XT2 is on order as I have held back to let the real photographers maul it to death and hopefully this time it will be love at first shot!😉👍🇬🇧
I thought only x-t3 had right side tilt screen, i appreciate this as tilt up or down is much preferred and inline of lens as opposed to those vari angle screen which are offset to lens. Its helpful in wedding photography, tilt up and down for rituals jam packed with people and tilt right side for portrait photos.
Exactly. My ears perked up when the reviewer said he didn’t understand why Fujifilm made an LCD that also articulates in the vertical orientation. For photography this kind of LCD is much better.
I am watching your review 7 in the morning with a cup of coffee. So I am not judging with too many brain cells activated. The camera sure helps, yet my 1st feeling: you make beautiful photos. Portraits. Give thumbs up before I change my mind at 7 PM :)
Well I dont know about that haha. But I just review the stuff I'm interested in buying. So you'll probably only ever see reviews of what I purchase and how I use it in my work. Thanks for watching.
Nice review. Watched to the end. Gotta say though as a working pro, I appreciate seeing a review from a photographer rather than a camera review person.
Thank you man, great video! Can you please tell me. 1)How much time (average) can you record 4K with a) one battery and b) three batteries and with the screen continously on? 2)Do you think that the Fuji 16-55 is a good allaround lense and for use with video too? 3)How much time of 4K video before camera getting warm and stop recording and 4)Is there a clear and understandable way, especially when using one battery to know more or less how much time is left for use with it? Thank you so much for your time and I'll really appreciate your answers.
What's your take on the 6D ii vs the X-T2 as far as sharpness, detail and image quality? I do portraits usually with strobes only or a mixture of strobes and natural light.
another great review. thanks for your insights. about showing the graded video... if any one complains about that, I think they should rethink their gripe about it.. I would think you would want to (also) see the graded video to know exactly what type of professional grading you can use with the video from the X-T2.
Yeah I know. But people love to complain about how "you should have done this. Or you should have done that" I cant serve everyone. If I could go over every function of this camera it would be 2-3 hours long. I just hope I gave a good enough glimpse into the stuff that matters most.
Yes, you're right.. anyways.. you did a good job. Always like your style, good at explaining a lot and efficiently tossing out info you know you don't have (completely) and kindly redirect to some other sources who may be more qualified to answer those few things perhaps better.
Awesome review dude! Just suscribed, thanks for uploading this :D i ended up getting the x-pro2 and i love it, the way it feels and maybe it sounds weird but it actually makes me think about photography in a different way Keep up the good work! Looking forward to see more videos from you
Thanks for the review. I have this camera and the only thing I would suggest for AF-C mode tracking would be to change the size of the group of focus points being used. It looks like in your test it was all of the phase detection points which made the trees in the background a very prominent subject in the frame, about half of the frame. Decreasing this box of active phase detect points to closer match the size of the subject your trying the track yields much better results. Cheers
Garrett Reid correct. I was saying that you need to make sure you have the correct setting for the exact scenario you're shooting. When I did the test of that guy running at me I tried all modes in all custom af settings and it about 6-7 tries till it would catch focus and then I try it again and it wouldn't lock on. I did the same test with the d500. Stuck in 10fps AFC and it nailed every shot first try. I mean it's only one test. But it was enough for me to get frustrated haha.
I see. If your using a similar size zone of focus points for both cameras and one is locking better to the subject even with the "dead zone" around the subject I'd agree that's a fare test and one cam is performing better in that circumstance. Thanks!
Fantastic review and great images and video! I shot mine on Nov. 1st just need to edit it (mines focused 90% of video though) Look forward to more video from you!
Thanks Max. I still need to make a video about F-log and rent an external recorder. Have you had much time to shoot anything in F-Log compared to S-Log?
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Kyree Koa Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Everyone seems to absolutely RAVE about this camera. It's so rare that I hear a bad word about it. It seems to have a very strong and loyal following among professionals, people who use the camera to make their livelihood (which is really the highest honor you can give a camera, imo). I thought I'd never shoot on anything other than full-frame again, but my D800 is getting a bit long in the tooth and the D850 is just disappointing, in my opinion, so I'm looking toward the future with mirrorless. I bought a GH5 and I love it, I take it everywhere I go now, because it's not like lugging a gigantic DSLR and associated lens around. Considering how good the GH5 is, I'm sure that I can live without full-frame.
Great informative video! Sorry I have a few questions. What setting did you use for your photographs in your flicker? Did you do any external colouring? Or is that a setting inside the camera? Also what setting did you use for your music video? Are footages hard to grade not using the LOG setting with hdmi? Did you also manage to solve the problem with splitting the file of videos over 4gb in size?
Dude!!! Finally!!!! A good review. Took forever to find!! Hours wasted. Thank you. Subscribed! Bell! Can you text me when you make the next video? lol Just kidding. Thanks! Keep up the great work!!
Great review! I'm not into video much, still loving shooting stills, but glad I got the XT-2 for someday when I might be interested. The controls on the camera are what sold it to me over the Pro-2. As for ISO, I'm glad to see you started high ISO testing at 3200. I have an unwritten rule based on my pictures not to push it past 1600 because thats when I find noise objectionable with the sensor. In fact, I'll sacrifice elsewhere and try to fix it in the RAW if I can avoid even 1600 and go no higher than 800. Noise, basically, has been my only disappointment with the XT-2. I have no other high end digital camera experience to base it on, but as a compromise for not having to carry around a full frame DSLR, I'll have to put up with the 1600 ISO or under limitation. I notice your Fender Rhodes did look good though, so with the right subject matter, I guess you can push the ISO some. Thanks again.
Zed this was a great review, you have a really good and charismatic way of talking which is quite frankly a pleasure to watch, and I genuinely mean that. How do you find the Fuji 50-140mm, does the OIS whine annoy you and do you find the bokeh harsh?
Somerandom Person the OIS isn't any louder than say Canon 70-200 or Nikon 70-200. At least my copy is pretty quite. As for bokeh it depends on your focal length at 140mm it's pretty nice. As you zoom wider it's not as nice as say the 56mm1.2 is. But I wouldn't call it harsh. I rarely use the lens. Mostly have it for shooting events because it's one of those work-horse lenses like the 16-55. I've always had a "70-200" in my kit. I'll do a review on it once I get some time after the new year.
Thanks for this great review. Did you used a x-t1 too? I still like mine but consider to upgrade to the 2. I only use video for holidays but it often shows artifacts or maybe its overshappended. Would the video if the 2 be easily better also for novice people?
Great review of the camera! I also like the look of the vide from your a6300 very much. Can you tell us your settings and how did the color grading? Did you use a LUT?
its a great review man. thanks for sharing. i had this cam for a short time for test shoot. really loved the AF speed. now planning to buy a mirrorless as a second cam or a walk around cam apart from the existing 5DM3. now i am confused between XT-2 and A6500.
I would love to switch to Fujifilm but the biggest drawback for me is the lack of IBIS on their cameras. Sony has it, Olympus has it, Panasonic has it.. Fujifilm should have it! I've heard them say it's impossible due to the X mount design but I hope they'll find a way to do it anyway on a future X camera. Great video btw.
fsociety it's awesome for video. I don't think it's as big of a deal for photography. Photographers have been able to take amazing shots for years without IBIS. I have been happy shooting without it. Once I had it on the a7rii I missed it for video. It's a great invention.
Zed ProMedia I love it for photography too, not just to get shots at lower ISO but also to help with composition by stabilizing what you see in the viewfinder. Sony's system is pretty good but Olympus IBIS is of the charts, I've seen the new E-M1II do 10 sec. handheld sharp exposures, no need for a tripod in many situations. Can I get good pictures without IBIS? Sure. I can get good pictures with a Canon 300D but that's not the point. I prefer a camera with a modern auto-focus system, big EVF, touchscreen and IBIS. If the X-T2 had a touchscreen and IBIS it would be near perfect.
I haven't tried any m4/3 cameras since I had the G6 and used my friends GH4 on a few video projects. I know they are coming along way. Especially Olympus. I think I even seen that 10 sec handheld image you are talking about. Was it over water at night?
Yeah I've seen multiple reviewers achieve 10 sec. exposures with the E-M1II (you do have to lean up against something to get up to 10 sec.or higher though).. Panasonic now also has a very good IBIS system in the GX85 and G85 (GH5 will have it too).. I personally have the E-M10II and the IBIS is very effective when using the 75mm 1.8 (150mm equivalent), I love how it stabilizes what I see through the viewfinder to get the composition just right and get sharp exposures down to about 1/3 sec, I imagine this being impossible to do with the Fuji 90mm f/2 WR on a X body. If you shoot with enough light or have moving subjects IBIS isn't as useful obviously. It depend on your style of photography to determine how important IBIS is for you. For video it's a no-brainer though, like you said.
Hi ok I saw u were shooting video in that dark studio setting, what ISO did you have to use and how was the image ie grainy or not. Could u shoot in low light and get xlnt footage. I don't mean wanting a grainy image but a clean footage. Thanks for the review!
Great review. One question: you say the grip is important to get the camera on par with the higher end DSLR’s. But is it that important for still photography and portrait sessions?
Yet another great review. I've had my xt2 for about a week now after moving over from Nikon and I love it. Had to watch review as you cover more and give honest opinions. I had mine with kit lens plus 35 f2. Not sure what to go for next? I know you have covered many lenses. I'm undecided between 16mm f1.4 or 10-24 f4? what are your views?
Hey, random guy here. I had the same decision to make regarding wide angle lenses earlier this year and decided to go with the 10-24mm for the versatility. Haven't used the 16mm f1.4, but I don't regret my choice at all. Image quality and sharpness are great, though if you're not careful about the corners (at ultra wide angles), the corners can look a bit distorted. I LOVE being able to go down to the 10-14mm range on this. And, for mostly shooting the outdoors, the f4 aperture is really not a limitation for me. That being said, I hear the 16mm has a very fine "micro contrast" quality to it from reviews for what's that worth. If you absolutely know that you will not want to go wider than 16mm, then it is the optically superior lens. Otherwise, if you haven't tried wide angle photography much, I'd recommend the 10-24mm for the versatility and fun factor. I'm a complete amateur, but I have a Flickr with several shots from the 10-24mm if you want to take a look at image quality (not trying to promote here so just look me up by my name).
Thanks for the videos and the content. I really enjoy your work I just bought the Fuji X-T2 myself I'm very new at this but I'm enjoying the camera as well what editing program do you use for your photography? And yes please do the Live Stream!!
Thanks! I mostly use Photoshop and Lightroom. But mostly Photoshop. I want to buy Iridient developer to process my Raw's I just havent got around to it yet. I have to many projects on the go to switch my work flow.
Awesome video (subscribed). You're the only one so far that really touched on the dislikes of the grip which is a good thing. You're the second person that stated ISO can't be changed during recording, but does auto ISO work for seamless transitions? (e.g from indoors to outdoors). Great photos on Flickr also (followed).
Found you while looking at GH5 reviews (yours was super helpful) and was curious what you had to say about the Fuji since I'm dumping mine after having it a year. You think 7 days in repair was bad? With shipping times, mine was in repair for a total of 2 months! I sent it in 3 times back to back and they were replacing major parts. All that said - the deal breaker for me was backlit shooting. It might be the intense Denver sun, but the magenta grid sensor flare was a constant problem. The grid pattern can't be edited out and I was throwing hundreds of pictures out.
I have this camera and grip. You had said that in shooting vids when the battery power changes from one battery to the other that the image or frame freezes or lockups? I really don't shoot vids so I'm cool with that but twice I did have my image actually lock up. The cameras locked up. I could even turn it off and back on. Right in the middle of an event shoot. Of course i freaked a little but had a back up camera so I was good. The one thing I did was slighting unscrew the grip and re-screwed it (and I mean barley) and the camera started working again. Thoughts or ideas here? Anyway, I love the camera and just finished a stuffy Health Board head shot shoot using the 56mm. and they are amazing (JPG right out of the camera with only cropping needed). I'll keep my Canon stuff too but this camera is my portrait, model, street camera for sure... Good video by the way.
I've yet to have the camera lock up, but when the battery switches over it does stop the recording. Maybe the connection wasn't 100% from the grip to the body?
Great review! I'm looking to use my xt2 for more video work. Are you using native lenses for video? If so, how are you getting on with the fly-by-wire focusing?
Meh it sucks. Ever since I switched to Sony its been something I've had to learn to deal with if I want to use native lenses. There are a few fuji lenses with hard stops though. And that means the focus ring has to be synced which is nice. Ive only used the 16mm f1.4 with hard stops but I know the 23mm f1.4, 14mm f2.8 are also made that way. I wish they made all of their lenses that way its way better for video mf.
It's interesting that some reviewers seem to be so ambivalent about the ability to pop the LCD out while the camera is in a vertical orientation. I guess they [you] don't compose portrait-oriented images from extremely low or extremely high angles. Many, including myself, do and for us this feature is a Godsend. The decision to choose this design over a video-centric fully articulating screen was based on three factors: 1) the camera remains smaller and less conspicuous with this design; 2) the screen remains roughly centered on the lens axis; and 3) this design permits the use of L-brackets. 1 & 2 are particularly important for street shooters-or anyone who wants to shoot inconspicuously from waist level. That said, I can understand the disappointment of anyone who shoots primarily video; for them a fully articulating screen would be a big deal.
Went way back in your Flickr. Doesn't matter what camera you use, X-T2, X-Pro2, D500, 5D Mk II, your pictures have the same vibe. I'm gonna have to figure how you post-process your stuff because I love the look.
Elliot Maverick yeah I kind of have a style. I do most of my editing in photoshop adjusting the Raw files where I will make a custom action based on the shoot. Some shots on flicker from the Xpro2 are just jpg with no adjustments. But for the most part I love the colour coming from Fuji. Can you get similar results using other cameras? Yes. But it just takes longer in post. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Agree with compliments and let me jump into a question: I have noticed that some of the best landscape filmmakers use Gh4 (Yuri Palma shot with it, and he is my favourite, Alexis Troy too). My fear is that it would be too complicated ( my current camera is a D7300, and I would like to start with video, also). What's your suggestion? What about this Fuji?
Would you still recommend this camera today? I'm planning on doing a travel Vlog. The weather resistant ability is good. Also, what lense are you using? Thanks
Great review as always! From a strictly photographic point of view do you prefer the X-T2 over the X-Pro2? (noticed you concentrated a lot on the video for X-T2) Thanks and I say YES to the live stream!
I have the XPro2 and I'm getting the XT2 for three reasons: 1) I want a vertical grip. It sounds fussy but honestly, shooting all day with the XPro2 its a real pain to hold. 2) I need a faster camera. The XPro 2 is lovely in many ways, but I just find myself wishing it was faster. 3) The viewfinder. SO much was made of the XPro 2 hybrid viewfinder but I just don't like it. It's fiddly and not the great experience I heard it was. The hybrid feels gimmicky to me. Just my opinion anyway and hope that helps.
great video like always....but I have a question about a freez camera problem that is been happens to me lately after I take a photo. I been using the original batteries ,sd card 95m SanDisk extreme. Is that happens to you too or is there any fix for that? thanks.
Nice video man. Love the fact you can apply the film simulations to video, looks insane. As a vlogger I would love to see a forward flipping screen, internal F log for grading and in body image stabilisation if I want to use adapted lenses with a speed booster.
Hi, I use also Fuji XT-2.I would like to ask you for help. Are you using for editing RAF (Fuji RAWs) Lightroom CC 2015 running on macOS Sierra? Because I have a problem with reading RAF in my Lightroom 6, I really don't know if I have something wrong here... and I tryed also reinstall adobe creative cloud completed. Do I have to instal some additional plugin for reading RAF in Lightroom? In photoshop with Camera Raw 9 no problem at all only LR is making me crazy. Please let me know if you have some idea.
Great video as always Lee, I've learned some new things about X-T2 even though I've been using it myself for the past 2 months (such as the video starting a new file after 4gigs, the stutter in video when one battery goes out). My favorite review so far, loving the content and the production value of your videos in general. Couple of comments/question. I think the 100 fps of the viewfinder can be obtained with boost mode WITHOUT the grip, but the fast AF and tracking is obtained through boost mode WITH the grip. Could you confirm? Would love a follow up to the video and see your flash (or any lighting) setup with X-T2, your post processing workflow (especially a continuation of your Iridient developer video such as do you use ID for just the RAW conversion then do the rest in Photoshop/Lightroom?, etc.). Thanks!~
Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah the 4gb file thing I had happen while I was talking about the iPhone7. I noticed when I looked at the SDcard on my computer there were multiple files and I was like what? haha
Actually the 4gb limit has to do with the SD card being formatted int FAT32 format, if you change it to exFAT or NFTS formatting, you will no longer have this issue
Pedro Gomes All my cards are always exFAT from the factory. I never touch them. Also, I use the camera to format the card. So unfortunately that's not the problem. Fuji says on their own site for the XT2 that it will do this.
Another question I am planning to use both the the Gh5 and the XT-2 I currently have the 12-35mm Panasonic and I am thinking of selling it to put funds towards the Zeiss Otus 85 my question is would that Zeiss work well with the XT-2 (even with the cropping until Metabones releases a Canon EF mount).
Amazing review, one of the best so far .Do you have any links for the music videos you took with the x-t2? PS If you haven't already bought ,the 90mm F2 is stupid sharp for portraits, better than the 56
I know I want to buy the 90mm. I just have no money lol. One video isnt finished yet but here are the other two: ua-cam.com/video/JdpHcUUQLOc/v-deo.html , ua-cam.com/video/QSoBsj_rOpA/v-deo.html
Hello, thanks for the great review! Is there any way to see the music videos that you are mentioning in this review? I mean the end products, not the little pieces. I've tried to find them on your channel, but couldn't find them. Thanks!
Six years after this video was made and it still persuaded me that the X-T2 is the camera for me!
Same here, just bought a silver edition X-T2 in very nice condition for 500 dollars.
Zed ProMedia do
Zed ProMedia would definetly watch, and i would like to know when to get the xpro vs x-t for photography
Zed ProMedia I'm down
Talking gear is always a good time.
That would be great.
THIS is how to make a comprehensive review.
after using 5div & a7rii , i can say fuji xt2 is a best camera in a market lightweight ergonomic color rendition iso every thing just perfect .
Alen Shawes it is I sold my Sony a7ii
I bought one at release and still use. Solid as. This camera is what 90% of photographers really need.
It’s probably 100% of what photographers need. But there has to be new cameras every year to keep the shareholders happy
This is the best review of the X-T2 I've found, and I've watched a bunch. With the X-T3 around the corner I'm in the market for one of these.
This is the very best X-T2 review that I've seen.
Thanks, man!
leatherstump They would never give me a free camera haha. My channel is too small. Thanks for watching! Enjoy your new camera.
Excellent, informative video. I’m so pleased I bought the X-T2. It’s in “as new” condition in 2024! I’ve put away my X-T30 Mark II. I just can’t seem to get to grips with the latter camera but the X-T2 just performs so well.
Best and most comprehensive review of any camera I've seen on UA-cam. Subscribed.
I'm getting my XT-2 later this month, your review is absolutely spot on and it pushed me over the edge. Thanks you!
haha awesome! You'll enjoy the camera.
Zed ProMedia just got my Graphite Silver Edition delivered last night. The camera is an absolute beast 😳
What a great review. Well spoken and truly confident in what your talking about. I just bought the camera and absolutely love it. It's time to put the grip on now. Keep up the great work. 👍
Best review of X-t2 on internet! Thank you I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago:)
Awesome! You'll love it.
A very good review. I really like how you present and show the pros and cons without the drama.
Love your video reviews. I'm not a video shooter but your photo impressions were in line with my experience so far.
I´ve the XT-2 for about 2 month now and agree with everything you said. Great video!
Great job! Simply the best Review I've seen so far on this camera!
I am watching your review 7 in the morning with a cup of coffee. So I am not judging with too many brain cells activated. The camera sure helps, yet my 1st feeling: you make beautiful photos. Portraits. Give thumbs up before I change my mind at 7 PM :)
This is the best camera review channel !
Well I dont know about that haha. But I just review the stuff I'm interested in buying. So you'll probably only ever see reviews of what I purchase and how I use it in my work. Thanks for watching.
Zed ProMedia Np man keep it up!
As always, very nice and clear review and beautiful examples, keep it up man!
Your review is long but detailed and to the point. Love it.
Thanks for the great review! I saw your shots on Flickr and they are outstanding! Nice work... Subscribed and following! Thumbs up.
3:37 that's so you can view the screen while in portrait orientation/holding it from the power grip.
Nice review. Watched to the end. Gotta say though as a working pro, I appreciate seeing a review from a photographer rather than a camera review person.
AWESOME 😊 review
My husband picked this up for me , a complete surprise to me. I really wanna show him what I can do with this !
Thank you man, great video! Can you please tell me.
1)How much time (average) can you record 4K with a) one battery and b) three batteries and with the screen continously on?
2)Do you think that the Fuji 16-55 is a good allaround lense and for use with video too?
3)How much time of 4K video before camera getting warm and stop recording and
4)Is there a clear and understandable way, especially when using one battery to know more or less how much time is left for use with it?
Thank you so much for your time and I'll really appreciate your answers.
Great review's keep it up ! and the photo samples in this video... mindblowing ! Got X-t2 myself and I think it's a great camera.
Thanks! Enjoy that new camera.
What's your take on the 6D ii vs the X-T2 as far as sharpness, detail and image quality? I do portraits usually with strobes only or a mixture of strobes and natural light.
So stoked for this video
Enjoy! Took me 2 months to make lol.
again please keep this great work. Best Reviews on fuji stuff. thank for sharing. Have a nice one!
Yor reviews are fantastic. Well done. Ungraded samples are fantastic.
John 1112 thanks for watching I appreciate it.
another great review. thanks for your insights.
about showing the graded video... if any one complains about that, I think they should rethink their gripe about it..
Great review. Would love your comparison of the X-T2 with the Sony A6500.
Awesome review dude! Just suscribed, thanks for uploading this :D i ended up getting the x-pro2 and i love it, the way it feels and maybe it sounds weird but it actually makes me think about photography in a different way
Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Agree with you re: how fiddly it is to change modes - surprised other reviewers haven't found this a problem. Useful review - thanks :-)
Good advice on the re-mapping, one to keep in mind
I've been waiting bro!! Thanks for making it happen.
Dante Corbett yeah man! I took a long time to make but at least it's a good place to see some real world use on this camera. Thanks for watching.
@Holden Braylen instablaster :)
@Kyree Koa Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kyree Koa it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out :D
Wow! Very thorough and articulate review. Good job! 👍
Great review... well explained and excellent presentation, make interesting and with a lot of sample pics and videos... well done mate
Ordering my XT2 tomorrow this definitely helped!!
This was extremely helpful. Waiting for some money and then I'm definitely getting one of these!
Super helpful video dude, best overview of the xt2! Definitely going to get one
Another great detailed review, well done Z! :)
Did you use a LUT?
dakalla I just shoot in neutral (-1,-1,-2) and manually grade the footage with lumetri colour in premiere cc2015. Thanks for watching.
its a great review man. thanks for sharing.
i had this cam for a short time for test shoot. really loved the AF speed. now planning to buy a mirrorless as a second cam or a walk around cam apart from the existing 5DM3. now i am confused between XT-2 and A6500.
Was it over water at night?
fsociety I feel the same, the lack of IBIS, Touchscreen and articulating Screen prevented me from bying this camera.
Great video! Which settings do you use to track a moving subject across the frame without moving the camera during video recording?
Hi ok I saw u were shooting video in that dark studio setting, what ISO did you have to use and how was the image ie grainy or not. Could u shoot in low light and get xlnt footage. I don't mean wanting a grainy image but a clean footage. Thanks for the review!
Bush Camping Tools 1600iso clean
Hi great thanks!
Hands down the best review I've seen. I'm not sure if I missed it but are you able to use the VF during video like with the A7 series?
yep you can
Great review. One question: you say the grip is important to get the camera on par with the higher end DSLR’s. But is it that important for still photography and portrait sessions?
Great review man, loved it.
Amazing! Please let me know do you have any interests in doing a X-T2cage review?
Sure contact me through my email. zedpromedia@gmail.com thanks. I have a smallrig cage for my a6300 and love it!
Anthony Puchoon i actually never tried auto ISO in video. Good question. I'm going to do a live stream maybe Thus Thursday and I can try it out.
Hey Zed, you think you can do a tutorial on filming with a DSLM for beginners at some point? Like what settings, gear, lighting, etc. to use.
Which would you suggest is a better camera for modeling ?
Would you still recommend this camera today? I'm planning on doing a travel Vlog. The weather resistant ability is good.
Also, what lense are you using?
Thanks
hi Zed! what mic are you using when you're outside in the video? thanks! it sounds pretty good!
I think back then I was using the Rode Smartlav+ plugged into my phone geni.us/Ql0B . But now I use the Rode link wireless geni.us/qpRy
Great review as always! From a strictly photographic point of view do you prefer the X-T2 over the X-Pro2? (noticed you concentrated a lot on the video for X-T2) Thanks and I say YES to the live stream!
would like to know this too
I have the XPro2 and I'm getting the XT2 for three reasons: 1) I want a vertical grip.
Gread review! Just wondering, the one with the suits on the bridge is at bathurst & front street right?
Yep it sure is haha
Zed ProMedia lol, I knew it!
great video like always....but I have a question about a freez camera problem that is been happens to me lately after I take a photo.
Thanks for the effort of making this vid. I enjoyed it a lot. Keep it up bro
You get 100fps in EVF without grip as well. With native body boost mode.
great review. one of the better ones I've watched
I'm deciding which one to buy now that the x-t20 is out. Would love to hear your opinion about it. Great review btw. Thanks.
Super neat camera. I thought I wanted one when it first came out but I'm glad I didn't get it. I would not like dials and the small grip. Good review.
Excellent review !
What's you opinion about the X-T2 vs D750 ?
Thanks
Nice video what are you using to balance the camera ?
One video isnt finished yet but here are the other two:
ua-cam.com/video/JdpHcUUQLOc/v-deo.html , ua-cam.com/video/QSoBsj_rOpA/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot for this honest review and good luck to you!
Nice review. You have great audio. Where is that microphone plugged into? Is it wireless?
its the Rode smartlav+ plugged into my old iPhone4. Did some compression and EQ in premiere pro cc. amzn.to/2gr3nk7
Hello, thanks for the great review! Is there any way to see the music videos that you are mentioning in this review? I mean the end products, not the little pieces. I've tried to find them on your channel, but couldn't find them. Thanks!
DELTA FILM they are on the artist channel or my Vimeo account
Zed ProMedia, thanks, gonna check your vimeo
Do an XT-20 review and compare it to the X-T2!
