He wasn't underrated at all during this time. If anything, he was a little overplayed (not that there was anything wrong with him, they do that with every song) probably the most played artist during this era but any time I think of my drives to my old job and college in 2007, I think of Daughtry because they played him so many times. IM GOING HOME was the perfect anthem because I was always going home and could count on hearing it 3 times lol Hard to believe that was 10 + years ago lol But yeah like the others said, music today = mainly annoying hipster crap, wimpy guys singing stupid songs. not so much anything with soul. i think our 2000s Emo bands were tougher than anything out today.
