Now I own the Lake and just added the footrest. This is exactly what I needed! My hole family uses the Kayak and we have a lot of fun. And you‘re right, it‘s an opener - every time we unfold the Oru someone has some questions. Thanks for your Videos!
I saw someone recommend a seat hack for another Oru kayak model (possibly the Bay). It's called the Jackson Kayak "Sweet Cheeks" seat pad. It makes an exact imprint of your seat and thighs, and contains foam beans. The purple seat looks like a great option too.
The purple is not back support. They do make a back cushion, but I'm not sure that would work in a kayak. What kind of life jacket do you wear when you kayak?
What about using cycling shorts for some extra insulation. I don't like the idea of sitting too high in the cockpit. I like to sit low for increased stability.
The seat saver does come with a cable on it just to attach to the yak incase it comes out so you don't loose it. I took mine off, so maybe that's what's different?

I went to the Purple website and was not sure which seat cushion would be best. In your video, yours looks like an outline of a persons bottom but on the website they all look square to me. Did you trim the cushion you got to get the shape you showed in the video? If not, which cushion did you purchase. Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't had an issue. I have a floating case on the camera if it does fall off. Oru makes a camera mount now too if you are looking for something that attaches.

Does the purple or sweet cheeks add any lower back support? Using the original Oru seat plus Oru gel and no butt problems, but need more back support.

I just got my new Oru Inlet kayak and the seat holder. It seems in the newer model, the seat holder doesn't work. Cause there is an extra cable now.
A newer model of the inlet? There's an extra cable on the inlet or the seat holder?
@@smkauthor extra cable. Like there is a cable for holding the seat that goes to a hole and then from the hole to the seat lock.

My only problem is the back supporter is always falling back I cannot rest my back without damaging it
