I was thinking the same thing with these no contact deliveries. Even if the customer wants to give a cash tip, sometimes they don't bc of possible contamination. Though if you leave the food at the door, it's certain no cash tip, one downside to the no contact for sure. I've noticed that as well, restaurants have tables or barriers in place inside and at the door for pick-up. Some have the tape on the ground which can almost be like a maze following it. Home depot have the tape giving the distance to stay apart. Customers are definitely appreciative. I've done a bunch of catering orders from a local Jewish deli for the start of Passover and many customers have expressed their thanks. Just having something celebratory and means to express some happiness is a big thing right now. These gloves don't last too long, but I'm sanitizing them as well till they get a hole. Lol
Yeah they rip rather easily. I wear my bandana if a restaurant is packed but its so hard to avoid touching everything with clean hands/gloves. I wonder if it defeats the purpose....and instead just try and focus on being socially distant.
