yes, it will be connected in both devices always, in which device you play audio recently that audio hearable via earbuds also, calls can be speakable using earbuds if calls from any two device. (one by one)
in budget price - Truke BTG neo is best for dual pairing, calls, and decent audio.
in 2K - Boat Flex 454 earbuds (I still not used)
and in premium - Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro, Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, Realme Buds Air 5 Earbuds are supported.

yes after done with android, you can continue using between iphone & laptop instantly until not resetting the earbuds.
If reseted means again do the process with android phone

one device to another device means its ok, it works like that only disconnect from one device and connected back to another device. No problem

Press and hold is changing the transparency mode and not switching device.

there is a option to change the touch & hold to switch device through heymelody app
once changed now you'll get to type of function, short touch & hold and long touch & hold. try it

you have to enable switch device function for long press via heymelody app or under the bluetooth setting if you are using oneplus, realme, oppo phones
