- From one of the "Six Flags Over Georgia: Relics from the Vault" DVDs. I haven't been able to locate either the feature documentary or the news reel at the end anywhere online, so I decided it was best to upload them to my channel. That aside, this a very interesting documentary, and it really puts into perspective just how massive of an undertaking the construction of the Scream Machine was back in 1973.

The Scream Machine is one of the very few "first period" attractions (1967-1983) still present in the park, and fortunately for those who understand the coaster's value, it's kept in good condition and doesn't appear to be waning in popularity. Hopefully it won't be meeting its demise for quite some time.
As a carpenter and a coaster enthusiast, this was just fascinating to me. Thank for the upload.
Thanks! I'm always glad to see people enjoying the more-obscure SFOG content on my channel. I'm planning on uploading a documentary titled "Six Flags Over Georgia: The First Ten Years" as well, but for some inexplicable reason, I can't seem to properly rip it from the DVD it's on.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand very well! I don't see completely, but, is this documentary about the great america scream machine (rollercoaster from 89) ?? or the documentary is more about some years ago his construction?
This is a documentary over the background and construction of the original Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia, not the one at Great Adventure.

The best content that i watch was a video named "problematic roller coasters - great america scream machine" and was amazing! another good that I find here on youtube was a documentary about the legacy of the arrow dinamycs (maybe the inventors of steeel coasters), both shows how the fall of arrow happens because they cannot make smooth big coasters, they ever desing his project by hand and old methods, and the rivals ever used tecnology and new softwares to calculate g forces and make smooth big coasters... very interessting" (sorry for my poor english, i'm from Brazil")

I was never notified as to when the DVD I ended up with would arrive, so I'm not really expecting a notification for this one either. I'm sure the wait for the correct DVD won't be too much different than the wait for this one, though.
@@okefenokee_rabbit According to the website that I linked to you a while back, it said that The Early Years and The First Decade is apart of the DVD you have as features and bonus features. They DO NOT come as separate DVD's. When I saw that website for the first time, I thought they came as separate DVD's. Sorry about that. You DO have the correct DVD. You just need to dig for them. I hope you understand.

The cover of my copy is different (and is labeled with the exact same title of the DVD listed on the original page you found, which is where the mix-up occurred), but the contents of the DVD I received are exactly the same as the ones listed on this page. The DVD only consists of two menus - the main one featuring the documentary and news reel (as well as a handful of still shots of the Scream Machine taken over the decades), and the bonus section featuring a time lapse of the Georgia Cyclone's construction process and the 8mm film from the mid-seventies. I can assure you that there are no additional features or interactive portals, and you can even see for yourself here:

Furthermore, when ripping the DVD, no titles other than those five things ever showed up on any of the three programs I fiddled around with.

I've already sent the company an email clearing everything up. They'll probably get back to me shortly, and when they do I'll notify you of whatever they tell me. Hopefully, this whole thing goes over smoothly.

It's being re-tracked right now. Depending on the covid19 situation, it's supposed to be back open this summer. Should be a much smoother ride.

They also retracked some other parts of it a few years ago. It sounds like they're doing it in phases.

@@5licckoo215 That's what I heard. I haven't been this year. With the covid rules I just couldn't do it this summer. That 100° Georgia summer heat doesn't mix well with those face masks.

No, but I will be ripping and uploading the contents of the DVD that contains the footage of the '68 version once it arrives.

@@SlushysSecret This was nearly two years ago, in case you didn't notice. The DVD turned out to not have any 1968 footage, but it did feature the entire promotional film that the 1967 footage comes from.

Waiting for the RMC to do there topper track on this ride or to complete rehab like they did the GA Cyclone.
It'll likely never happen. This coaster is an ACE coaster. Even if it never operates again, they probably won't tear it down because of this.
This ride is awful. Harsh, jarring. Like falling down a flight of stairs. June 2021.
