I'm not a drummer. I'm not even a musician. I've recently been binging on El Estepario and the reactions to his content. Gotta say that no matter how much I don't know, I have enormous respect for him and his skill, and the fact that he would set himself aside to do a respect cover like this leaves me respecting him even more. I've never seen you or your channel before so apparently the algorithm is doing a good job of connecting me with content that I appreciate. Your heartfelt reaction to all of this from start to finish was so wholesome. Thanks for sharing so authentically. Cheers!
I’m 56 I follow you but I’ve followed el estepario for years now…your reaction is the greatest I’ve seen…I see the pain yet love for music…you made me cry.emotional for me also…Thankyou for restoring faith in a dark world …
You getting emotional early on got me, too! I was bracing for the usual Siberiano when I first watched his vid. SO happy he honored Taylor in such a way with the BEST SONG EVERRRR! Glad to have found your channel and subbing now! 👊🏽✌🏽🤘🏽
I’m not crying, you’re crying! 😢 Man! The weight of your emotions immediately came through my screen in the most sincere way and punched me in the face! (But in a good way) ✌🏼&❤
El estepario is a magician. His playing was perfect and your reaction was filled with honest emotion which made this the best reaction video I have seen
That's respect. Giving the track the timing and precision it deserves, not changing anything Taylor Hawkins did, and admitting it's perfect the way it was.
less than 3 minutes into my first video from you, I subscribed. Your reaction to his playing is refreshing and the most honest thing I've watched all day.
Thanks for being open with how much this song and Taylor meant to you. We all have that one band, one musician, one song that resonates within yourself. Gotta love music!
My dude I teared up with you music is beautiful and this is almost exactly how I learned drums and the fact he stayed true to it hits the heart peace and love brother
The emotion that came out of you was a true testament to how much love and respect you have for that song and we would love to see you cover it because we all know you would do it right! If you see this comment, please take into consideration that we all want to see your emotions come out in the song and give it everything you got. Can't wait to see it!!!
Since it was uploaded I HAVE, I NEED TO keep coming to this video every 10-15 days... When you understand what happens in these 12 minutes life is so much brighter. Music have such power. Respect. R.I.P. Taylor Hawkins. ❤
you know, i loved it when they let Nandi play this live, that was special *Foo Fighters "Everlong" w/ 11-Year-Old Nandi Bushell, The Forum, Los Angeles, 8.26.21*
Don't know if I have ever seen any of your vids before or not, but this was beautiful. I have a big canvas poster up on my wall that says - What is life without music This is the power music has on us and to see you this emotional was amazing. Behind blue eyes by the who is my all time favourite song and when limp bizkit "did" a version of it so bad I was enraged by how shocking it was. Feel like am just babbling, so again great video man
Ive posted this under a different reaction and want to share it here also. RIP Taylor Hawkins you are badly missed. But im pretty sure your son could fill your big boots one day. If he choose to. Im glad El Estepario went as close to the original as possible for him. For these couple minutes it felt like Taylor sitting at his Kit and played the song himself. I thing i realy realy realy appriciate is the fact he left out any fancy stick tricks. Plain, simple and just mechanical clean AF. TY for your tribute El Estepario!
The most amazing thing to remember is that EES cannot read music. I wonder how many times he listened to it and came up with his own notation for what the drum part is in the song. It's really mind-blowing.
I’m learning this and at speed it’s a monster. I gotta take it down some RPM. The fills on the snare to cymbal you gotta push ENERGY into it and play with energy or you can’t make it. It has simple kinda standard drum patterns for rock but played so well, fast, and kinetic… driving energy. Love it.
Yeah. I commented on his video about that very thing. There was no need to embellish such an incredible piece. It was obviously recorded by Dave Grohl, but Taylor made it his own over the years and he definitely played it true to honor that.
Taylor was the best. As a fan since the very beginning, it's always going to be hard. I get the feelings, I went to his tribute concert in LA and was a mess for most of it
Before El Estepario, We have Cobus. You gotta check 'Who Let the dogs out drum cover by Cobus'. Make a video reaction for it please. I'm sure you'll love it. thanks in advance!
I want to hear the original goldsmith drums on that album. I wrote an album grohl style and my drummer was WAY better than me but I didn’t like his drum parts so I recorded my parts… I have hi8 video of the og arrangements. I used some of my drummers parts/fills but fit them to my vision. Pat had a huge impact on this albums sound. I wonder how much will changed the songs. Dave’s drums are great, but I wonder…
I agree that he should be playing this song without changing anything. However, correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds as if you're suggesting there is something wrong with him over playing many other songs. I think that is one of the things that separates him from so many others. If I wanted to hear a song played how it is supposed to always be played, then I would just listen to the original. I love how El Estepario is always pushing the envelope and challenging people to be better drummers. Could he play any song exactly how it is originally being played? I have no doubt, but then again so can many others. LOL! El Estepairo I don't think is trying to reinvent songs I just think he is having fun with something that is already great and that should be allowed for his UA-cam content. I mean you may feel the same way so please feel free to smack my hands if I have misunderstood. I love your reaction to this song and how much it means to you.YOu now have another subscriber. Great video!
Like very much when one has no problems with his feelings and emotions. You are true and I like it. About emotions would you comment one of my favorit songs from Pink Floyd on the1973 album "Dark side of the moon" called " The great gig in the sky". I assure you a great ride in the emotions "rollercoaster". Thanks in advance

Don't see a lot of people talking about it, but the micing and recording of his cover is UNREAL. It sounds soo good

All my covers are one take. So that won’t be an issue! 👍

If you have a minimum musical sensibility.... You understand.... Speechless.... You are in a roller-coaster of the emotions....
I didn't think it was a Taylor tribute, as i thought Dave recorded it on the album
I do believe you are correct. DG defo played on the original track.
