    We did this trip in 1989 with a Chev Nomad, Ford F150 bakkie, Range Rover and a Hilux. I remember the extremely sandy roads and we had to get the "donkey" going at camp for the shower facilities.

    That was great, just leaves me in a small dilemma, I can’t fit it into our trip 😢.
    Botswana was relentless hard driving through Moremi and Chobe, (winter in the wet) so much so that their was no time to stop and see anything, apart from the elephants crossing the tracks 👍 well done Nick, I hope you get back on the road soon.

      I get what you are saying....those long days in the thick sand in Botswana😞 but yes, if you dont have time this can be skipped, also cause the game is quite difficult to see

    Nice video. Thanks for the useful info. Just wondering. How long was the drive from Roy’s rest to Tsumkwe, Tsumkwe to the South Gate, and South Gate to Dussi waterhole? Thanks!

    • @NickfrNamibia
      @NickfrNamibia  Рік тому +1

      Its very difficult to give you times because Im forever stopping to take pictures and make videos. What I can tell you is that it is a very easy drive on a good gravel road from Roy's to Tsumwe and the same goes for Tsumkwe to the souther gate of the park. And then in general the south of the par is far easier to drive than the north.

      @@NickfrNamibia I guess we will be stopping to take pictures too ;) But thanks! I guess we will drive into Sikereti from Grootfontein, stay for two nights in camp to do a tour throughout the south of the NP, stay for a night in Tsumkwe and then on to Botswana. Thanks!
