Sixteen Tons - Because it’s so well suited to Geoff’s voice and judging by the songs of his that you’ve liked the most, I think you would genuinely really enjoy it.
Definitely 1 of my favorites. I also ❤ Folsom Prison Blues. Watch because Geoff will give you a surprise and there is a major Easter egg in it. I also ❤ Sixteen Tons (a favorite from my childhood and one of my favorite singer). I also ❤ Big Bad John (another childhood favorite). Pretty much anything western/country.
"I See Fire" - to me this is one of Geoff's best, "Ain't no Sunshine" - because you realise how good an actor Geoff is, and "Monster Mash" - because you get to see how good a dancer Geoff is!
I think Monster Mash, as much as I adore it should be saved for Halloween with VoicePlay's Halloween songs. Just like the Christmas songs. They make the seasons so much more fun! 🤗🤗❤
Another great reaction😊. This is my ultimate favourite from Geoff. Closely followed by Ain't no sunshine... Geoff manages to fool me almost every time with his "acting". 😊🇬🇧
I hope you get a chance to catch up with his most recent song "Unshaken". He 'let' his clones do it without him as the 'Riders' before they became ghosts. And as someone who appreciates Johnny Cash, I highly suggest you listen to Geoff's "Folsom Prison Blues", too.
I totally second this post. 🙂 I'd just add "I see fire", but just because I love it... Ad I'm curious to see what kind of effect it would have on Mr. Groovy 😁😅. I also loved all today's reactions, regardless of my personal tastes. It's a good thing that everyone has HIS OWN taste, and listening to the explanations of someone else's tastes and criteria may open a whole new world to one's own. 🙂 See you tomorrow|
Three recommendations: Unshaken (Awesome Song from Red Dead Redemption 2, that as a concept features the Ghost Riders before they die), I See Fire (Hobbit song, best thing that honestly came out of those movies, even Better than Misty Mountains, features the return of the dwarves from Misty Mountain) and of course, Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash goodness, probably my fave of Geoff's, period)! As much as I like Ghost Riders, these three right now all edge out the top 4 of the Geoff Castellucci list...number five definitely is a toss up between Ain't No Sunshine and House of the Rising Sun for me.
i would like to hear your reaction to Ain't No Sunshine; Jack's Lament; Unshaken; 16 Tons & Folsom Prison Blues. FYI in Unshaken, the Ghost Riders are singing before they become ghost.
Since you like you some country, try his Man of Constant Sorrow. I think you said you liked Johnny Cash, so you'll like Big Bad John and Folsom Prison Blues. And, the one most people recommend is, the coal miners song Sixteen Tons. Enjoy your journey.
Thanks for your reaction to one of my favorites from Geoff. I like Geoff's version of "Ain't No Sunshine" better than the original as that one was repetitive and Geoff breathes new life into that classic. I am hoping you will react to "Jack's Lament" from 'Nightmare Before Christmas'- Geoff will blow you away on that one!
Yep! You know, that might be my favorite by Geoff, that or "Unshaken." But it's honestly hard to pick my favorite. REALLY hard! If my favorite is a 10, most of the others are 9.5-9.75. There are a few 8s, but those are just songs I've never really liked, so I do REALLY like Geoff's versions on those, but they're at the bottom of my play list. If that makes sense.💙
Nice challenge I See Fire - something about how Geoff sings this song is just soothing and energetic at the same time. I've listened to it on repeat for hours and still not sick of it. It's also a great example of Geoff's range. Thanks again for the reaction looking forward to your next one 😊
I was wondering if maybe you confused it with "Riders on the Storm" by The Doors. I just looked that up and never realized "Riders of the Sky" was the source; Jim Morrison and The Doors decided to change lyrics and anything else to make it what they wanted. I never had any idea there was any connection between the songs. But wouldn't Geoff sound amazing doing a Doors song?
I See Fire. It's a gorgeous performance and showcases Geoff's range better than any other song he's done, IMO. ... Actually apart from this cover, my favorite use of this song _is_ the background music for the epic ride scene in the Marvel movie Ghost Rider. ETA: After hearing this one again, I think it may be tied with ISF for my favorite Geoff tune.
Love Geoff and Voice play. I'm going to suggest another Acapella group for a bit more Johnny Cash feel-Home Free. They do Ring of fire and Folsom prison. Actually Geoff does Folsom prison as well so you could compare.
This was my first GC experience which led me to VP never looked back so it way up there on the list.. Great reaction! Well maybe "Unshaken" because of the "same riders" without Geoff. If it was Christmas I'd say "Blue Christmas" because...well you'd just have to see it to know.
Hey Groovy! I just had an idea! You should do a week of Voiceplay shorts! There are a bunch, and you could watch two or three each video! On Facebook or Patreon are the best places, I believe, UA-cam cuts them short (hence the name, I guess.) But you'll love them! They. Are. So. Awesome!!! So much fun, a wide range of guests, and they're just having a ball! Maybe start with "The Wellerman," it's a full song, but a short one, with Anthony G, and it's in my top 5! You can't help but tap your toes to it. Or, of course, there's their excellent rendition of "The Time Warp!" I used to play Columbia in college, so I'm mighty picky and I love it! Minor rant: Do NOT get me started on the "safe for TV version" of RHPS someone made, it was cringe city except for two things! Adam Lambert playing Eddie (he SHOULD have been Dr. Frank N Furter) and the dinner scene line "Meatloaf again?" I have to admit, that cracked me up! However, when a woman wears women's lingerie, THEY ARE NOT A TRANSVESTITE! Oops. Sorry. I got myself started. I'll show myself out. But don't I feel silly if you know nothing about The Rocky Horror Picture Show!😊💙
I second doing their shorts! Facebook or Instagram will show the full things, and their are a few when it's practically criminal to cut the end. Especially Baby on Board from the Simpsons.
Just now saw this one & getting "the memo" for request directions. Lol. Loved the reaction & I have no request at this late of a date. Besides, I now know you're not well. Btw...there is something wonderfully freeing about turning 40. You're old enough to be taken seriously, but you're just not really as concerned about what others think anymore. Lol.
This is were you get to meet clone Daryl. Left to Right. Jeff, Daryl, Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. I took the order of clones from Kathy's costume list in the BTS video.
Monster Mash- The facial expressions Geoff makes and his dance moves are wonderful yet silly at the same time. Jack's Lament- Geoff really shows off his range and the cinematography is so good (and I love Nightmare Before Christmas). Folsom Prison Blues- you said you loved Johnny Cash. Unshaken- it's his newest release and it's actually a prequel to Ghost Riders in the Sky. Geoff said in his behind the scenes that Unshaken is the ghost (Goff, Jeoph, Jeff and Daryl) when they were alive
Sixteen Tons - Because it’s so well suited to Geoff’s voice and judging by the songs of his that you’ve liked the most, I think you would genuinely really enjoy it.
My favorite all time Geoff
Definitely 1 of my favorites.
I also ❤ Folsom Prison Blues. Watch because Geoff will give you a surprise and there is a major Easter egg in it.
I also ❤ Sixteen Tons (a favorite from my childhood and one of my favorite singer).
I also ❤ Big Bad John (another childhood favorite).
Pretty much anything western/country.
Folsom Prison Blues - 7 Geoffs plus an instrument and push-ups
Wicked Game! I find it so relaxing and beautiful, and I hope you will too!
If you liked this, you should check out Geoff's "Unshaken", it has the ghost riders before they became unalive.
Try Geoff's cover of Way Down! Geoff just cuts loose and has fun! It is awesome!
you might like Folsom Prison Blues too if you liked this one
oh, Big Bad John too, maybe 16 tons
I want 16 Tons because….oh my….he makes my heart go pitter pat and makes me write bad checks.
Four riders represent the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Another great reaction😊. This is my ultimate favourite from Geoff. Closely followed by Ain't no sunshine... Geoff manages to fool me almost every time with his "acting". 😊🇬🇧

Great reaction! I hope you said hello to Daryl, the new one, second from the left. The others you met in Way down. Goff, Jeoph & Jeff.
Ain’t no Sunshine- Geoff as a rock god.
You need to practice your dan vasc hair flip. ❤
Ain’t no sunshine - Geoff’s over reaction to Kathy going out to the shops without him 😂😂😂
❤️❤️
Hmmm… Sound of Silence… Have a feeling you’ve already reacted to it tho… 🤔
wow, had not heard this one yet, but he killed it as always
Nice Monty Python reference! I love Geoff's version of this song. Thank you for reacting to it😍
I FORGOT ABOUT MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW! I recommended Sixteen Tons in the last ones, but I want to rec Man of Constant Sorrow too 🙈😂
i would like to hear your reaction to Ain't No Sunshine; Jack's Lament; Unshaken; 16 Tons & Folsom Prison Blues. FYI in Unshaken, the Ghost Riders are singing before they become ghost.
Coconuts are tropical. Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?😂😂😂😂

The riders come back in Geoff's most recent cover of Unshaken from Red Dead Redemption 2.
My favorite Geoff solo (so to speak) is God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. I think it is the most creative arrangement he's made.
Geoff's latest release is Unshaken, and it features the Riders before they became the Ghost Riders. Its a great song too.
Tsk tsk! Spoilers! LOL!🙃💙
This was my first GC experience which led me to VP never looked back so it way up there on the list.. Great reaction! Well maybe "Unshaken" because of the "same riders" without Geoff. If it was Christmas I'd say "Blue Christmas" because...well you'd just have to see it to know.

@@ilonadever8249 Oh yes, absolutely!
Another one from my childhood. Geoff does it right!
Ain't No Sunshine because you like the beautiful TONE of his voice over a wide range, and this one is gorgeous. Sad, but gorgeous.
Lol.
😎🤙
You need to now watch "Unshaken," as it's a pair with this song. And it's definitely a 10! Nah, more like a 15, really.
This is were you get to meet clone Daryl. Left to Right. Jeff, Daryl, Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. I took the order of clones from Kathy's costume list in the BTS video.
Goff is the only clone who is left handed. But Jeff will always be my favorite ❤️ ❤❤❤❤
Monster Mash- The facial expressions Geoff makes and his dance moves are wonderful yet silly at the same time.
