    How do you fix wrinkles/bubbles in a perimeter felt back sheet vinyl congolum product it wasn't rolled with the wear layer out or tubed I heard about heat socking it with a hair dryer and then apply a tray of ice to the wrinkle to thermal shock it have you got any other ideas if that doesn't work

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  3 місяці тому

      That probably will not work because that remedy is for interflex vinyl which they do not make anymore . It is probably cut too tight around the perimeter and needs to be re-cut to have expansion room.

    • @paulstevens6875
      @paulstevens6875 3 місяці тому

      I was told by the congolum tech it's because the roll wasn't rolled with the wear layer out but with the bottom felt back out with will cause it to wrinkle it's not cut tight to the walls there is an expansion gap what about injecting glue

    This was incredibly informative. I've got a small nightmare on my hands from a hallway that was horrifically uneven. And, I've used every type of self-leveler/feather finish you can use, but I still have a few spots like this. Just out of curiosity, you recommended a Mapei product for adhering to concrete floors. I'm assuming that same adhesive would work with this same technique?? ? I'll have to use this method at the few places left. Your videos have been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much.

    I bought the same injector that you had, how did you get the needle to stay on? my needle came with just like a square flange on the end, I could not keep it in the syringe to save my life had to literally hold it. I was expecting it to be threaded.

    Hi again, Southernboys! Got a question I need your expertise on. Is there a way to repair a fairly deep scratch in Coretec?

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  5 років тому +1

      Cody Kanz If The scratch is the same direction as the grain is running in the wood, they make various types of wood and vinyl fillers , Home Depot has a pretty good selection of wood laminate and vinyl fillers and that’s what I use, if it is in the same direction as your wood grain it will blend in pretty good most likely, if it is going a crossed the grain it’s going to be pretty hard to hide that, so with that being said you’ll probably want to replace the plank if it is going across the grain and replacing the plank is not an easy job, I would probably rather just live with the scratch rather than try to replace it if you are not really familiar with the way these products work, because it can be quite challenging

    • @codykanz6236
      @codykanz6236 5 років тому

      @@FloorsbySouthernboys Thanks for the info. Yeah unfortunately it cuts across the grain, and across about 13 planks. Mercy.

      @@FloorsbySouthernboys And thanks for getting back so quickly!

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  5 років тому

      Cody Kanz Oh snap, with it being that much it would probably need to be taken up all the way from the wall to the last damaged bored and just replace those boards which will ultimately damage more boards while taking them up so you would probably want to get three or four more boxes of the same product if you wish to tackle that or have someone else tackle it for you

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  5 років тому +1

      Ofc. Roll-out FDC peel and stick is in its own category if it’s not sticking you’re pretty much out of luck, that stuff is not permanent It is pretty much just for rental properties or something like that, just for a quick fix or a quick cover up, if you put glue with the sticky residue on the back of the peel and stick tile it will not adhere good
