- We start our day at the White Sands National Monument enjoying the unique sand dunes, then head up the mountain to Cloudcroft and sample some of Mad Jack's Mountaintop BBQ. In the afternoon we head back down the mountain to Alamogordo and explore the New Mexico Space Museum.
The next day we head back to Cloudcroft for a hike and to Cloudcroft Brewing Company for Pizza for lunch. All in two days around Alamogordo.

Love your story 😍
Thank you 🙏
What month were you there in Cloudcroft?
Richard Jenkins it was early December 2019
Thank you😊 y’all are so cute. We hope to take a trip there when it’s safe to travel again!
It is definitely worth it!
Hi, I just watched your video of my neck of the woods. I see you were up here in December. Those were the days. Sadly, Mad Jack's is closed right now and Cloudcroft Brewery is closed to indoor dining (Covid restrictions in New Mexico at the moment.) I'm glad you didn't slip on the ice. It gets really icy up here. I use boot cleats to grip the ground in winter, or I'd fall right down. Have a wonderful time on your travels. :)
Thank you! We absolutely loved our time there. These certainly are interesting time’s. We are glad we did the trip when we did. We wished we had crampons for the hike, we ended up buying them the next day for our hike in the Grand Canyon. You have an amazing town there in New Mexico!
