The idea for this road trip came from the book Most Scenic Drives in America. This is Drive 52 from the book: New Mexico’s Scenic South. We have had the book for many years and have done multiple itineraries from the book and have never been disappointed. It even survived downsizing from 4-bed house to a 21ft travel trailer :) Check it out here: amzn.to/2EColqI

Looks like a fun trip -- and a book to put on my Amazon list too! :-)

I was just thinking about buying that book. I am really glad you showed it. It gave me a second hand real world review of the book. Still home bound from the back surgery, but hope to be on the road in a month or two. Enjoyed the road trip.

We have enjoyed the book so much over the years and since we used it to decide where to go for the Cloudcroft road trip we though we would share the source with others. I'm glad you found the video useful!

I'm working with the same dealership you did were you happy and I'm looking at the 25rds Outdoors how is yours holding up and are you happy with the brand so far. Any tips this will be my 3rd trailer but my 1st Outdoors other two were Fleetwood and had good luck with both. Thanks for your input.

Hi Andy. We are still very pleased with our Outdoors RV 21RBS and it has been more than a year since we bought it. It has gotten us to beautiful places due to it's higher clearance, we can boondock for longer due to the bigger tanks, we haven't had any major problems with it. Time to time some screw comes loose, but nothing that can't be fixed with a screwdriver (and we live in it full time so some wear and tear over time is expected). As for tips - make sure you do a very thorough pre-delivery inspection at the dealer. This was our first trailer and we bought an ebook from rvreviews.net that lists a comprehensive checklist ( rvreviews.net/pre-purchase-checklist/ ) it was super useful for us. We put in writing all the issues that needed fixing, then we did one-night shakedown trip, and then brought the trailer back to the dealer to fix all the things (nothing major - one was kinked outdoor shower hose, some stains on the curtains inside, one drawer was sticky to open and close, etc.).

Thank you for getting back so soon. This will be my third one had a 1990, 2001, and now the 2019 the other two were Fleetwood brand had good luck with both but they no longer build T.T. just motorhomes. I'm hoping to have the same luck with the Outdoor RV. I have always gone from one end to the other and tighten things inside, outside and under them. I'm OCD so I go over everything twice lol I think what the two of you are doing is great and I hope you enjoy it all and everywhere you go also. I love the post you put up found it just by looking at reviews on the Outdoors RV on UA-cam anyway thank you have fur and be safe.

Thank you for the kind words! We definitely recommend Outdoors RV. They have a better build quality than a lot of other manufacturers. Btw, there is a very active Outdoors RV Owners group on Facebook for prospective and current Outdoors RV owners - I definitely would recommend joining it facebook.com/groups/193443264489835/

I like the content of your video but the music was loud and didn't seem to go with what I was watching. Thanks for the idea of the Reader's Digest Most Scenic Drives in America book. I downloaded the Kindle version. I am subscribed and I clicked on the bell.

Thanks for feedback, very appreciated! When I edit the video I try to get the voice and music to be at the same level, but sometimes some types of music just sounds louder - I will keep that in mind for the future videos. Choosing music is one of the hardest parts for me. Would you have a suggestions for a genre of music that you think would have gone well with this video? And thanks for subscribing! :)

I don't have a genre suggestion. I know selecting music that matches the mood or feeling is not easy. I suggest you just watch other successful channels like Less Junk More Journey, Nomadic Fanatic and Keep Your Daydream etc and listen to their background music. In video editing software you can adjust the volume of the music to any level you like.

Yup, I have been watching LJMJ and KYD for years, they are great channels! Yes, I have been adjusting the volume to a particular level, but deciding what that level should be is a different story. Trial and error. :) Thanks for your comment!
