  • Ken Pengelly from a very old Looe fishing family talks about fishing with his father. The film was shot by Stuart Armfield artist and filmaker who shot a series of films between 1958 and 1970 in and around the port of Looe in South Cornwall using a Bolex 16mm colour camera. This archive footage from the South West Film and Television Archive was edited by Robert Hocking and converted into a digital format. The project has been part funded by South West Screen and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

My mother Pat Ivey nee minty was trying to think how many shops were in East Looe during the war. She said you are likely to know the answer being a TRUE local

My Auntie Dorothy Pengelly was from Looe and married Peter who,s surname was Endene if I have spelt it correct.
      Peter has a fishing boat.
We went to stay with her as she had a B&B around 1968.
Happy days have been a few times since last time 2011
