I love the slightly subtle uncanny feel, as if everything on the surface feels okay, but you have the sinking feeling in the back of your mind that something is very, *VERY* wrong.
The Rhythm of it starts by making you feel unease, like slowly getting deeper... And when the music gets all intense, the beats just makes it all the way creepy, like you're prowling for a hunt, something is about to go wrong.
I always picture driving during the night in the snow while listening to this song. There is danger, but its magical and mystical, relaxing and calming.
@@Palasid11 They're only just out of eyesight. Your headlights occasionally reflect off of one, but you don't realize; you think it's just a faraway sign every time. You never realize.
I honestly can't feel the unease and tension that everyone's talking about. This could very easily, in my opinion, be a theme for a regular, nice city with an ice or snow theme behind it, or a cyber thing like in this game. It could even be a theme for Undertale if it had an even bigger version of Snowdin. Like, we have Snowdin Town, and its own theme. And then, we have Snowdin City, with THIS theme. How is this supposed to sound sinister, seriously? I just can't hear it. The theme fills me with joy. I don't know how to dance but it makes me want to XD
@@Bro-cx2jc After hearing the regular "Welcome to the City," hearing an alternate, slow pitched, echoed version of the song makes you feel terrible. Kinda reminds me of all those No Mercy runs I did back in Undertale. I don't know how you can't feel it, but if you play Deltarune's second chapter and get context of the atmosphere of the Snowgrave Route, it'll all make sense.
This is Snowgrave theme, not genocide theme. Snowgrave themes are actually different than original themes, while genocide themes are just straight-slowed down.
@@XenosHornet15 Personally, this theme doesn't fit in my opinion for the Snowgrave route. It just doesn't sound sinister at all to me. It sounds nice and friendly. I think I feel differently from most people about it. Everyone is saying "oh man it gets so dark and uneasy" and I'm just like "wat"
This always gives me, even in slowed version, a certain feeling, like, this it's the first step to something we're gonna get on other type of routes like this, there's still something of the fun thing yet, there's a little hope of two old friends having fun on a city, but, this it's slowly changing, changing to something more darker, and the other type of "Angelic" tone on background gives me a feeling of Noelle trying to say something, like, it's a sad, disturbing, worring, but hopeful tone on the background, and the main melody only reflects me something changing in some way, inside of kris, like, they're the main melody that changed, and Noelle it's on background singing, And completely changing the whole track. Plus, if you hear the slowed version in detail, in some point of the song, when there's only the main melody, you can hear like 4 types of metal beats going around your head, this instrument it's... Interesting Also because it only reminds me of a track called "Fake Orchestra" from a game called "OFF" wich has this instrument on the track, and also, it's a game that also inspired Toby, and the implications here are that you are killing as someone called "The Batter" and you have been given the role to purify all the world in the game, and this track appears or it's the theme of one of the first bosses on the game called "Dedan" (this one inspired Papyrus' frist designs) Wich is something that got me thinking...
The best thing about snowgrave aside from the murder is the lack of cars

The slightly pitched up version heard in-game make me feel strangely cold.

For me this song is calm and relaxing.

@@Bro-cx2jc since Snowgrave is not murdering, that's why it is not very sinister.
Honestly, it kinda reminds me of "74", song done by Itoki Hana and Toby Fox.
