It's interesting because in other Western Cultures mixed is considered it's own stand alone thing. In Sth Africa they're a recognised racial group, not white, not black but a seperate culture called coloured. It's weird how mixed Americans have a tendency to "pick a side" and have venom for half their own bloodline, it's just bizzare,

It’s a conditioning that begins at the inception of a child’s development. The catalyst for this is that society historically celebrates white people almost exclusively. Most figures children hold in high regard are white, be it cartoon characters, super hero’s, video game characters, Barbie dolls, action figures etc etc. This is an inadvertent conditioning that encouraged children to feel that white is superior. This ideology commonly transfers into adulthood.
It is imperative to assure your children that they are not inadequate and should be celebrated as well no matter their race.
My mentor told me his mother used to tell him “you’re no better than anybody...but you’re just as good as anyone.”

@@Ty-mh1lz That conditioning is the fault of the child's parents. As a child growing up, all of my heroes were black. I never saw white people as superior. That's a wrong assumption that too many black people have. I never ever felt inferior as a black person. Like ever in life. Nobody could fuck with me. That was always my thinking.

I still get it now at age 44. It has been perceived, by others, that I have had an easier path. When the total opposite is true. My path has not been, easier. My struggle has been the same, the fight for acceptance the same. I salute you Mr. Barnes.

Quick fact check bro. One, most people that go to college do not get a job in their field of study. Plus, scholarships and grants do not cover all college expenses. I had 6 partial scholarships and 3 grants to finish college and the money was not even given to me until weeks into the school year because they wanted to make sure you were actually attending. So that meant having to pay for your own books upfront or borrowing from a classmate until your grant money came through. On top of that, you still need money for your daily living and working two jobs makes it hard to keep your grades up for different grants and scholarships. One of my scholarships required that I had to keep a 3.0 GPA. I finished with something like a 3.5 GPA ( I started with a 3.0 GPA and every year it went up until I finished with a 4.0), but that was working odd jobs and barely sleeping all through college. Just to end up with a job that had nothing to do with my degree.
Reparations would have to help the black community at large not just the ones capable of making it to college. America has something in place called the history of bad debt that makes it very hard to get a start in your personal and business life if you come from a family with a history of bad debt. Some people know what I'm talking about but it actually goes deeper than most of you know.
Last I had a friend that was a military doctor and travel the world with the military in the late 90s and 2000s. He was stationed in Brasil. They treat blacks that are not from there better than the black natives depending on skin tone. The darker-skinned blacks were still going through their own form of the civil rights movement in the early 2000s and it was between the fare skinned Brasilians and basically the Black Brasilians. They even went as far as to fly out the American black NAACP members to help with putting the case together. It also had to do with class. If they see a foreign darker-skinned black they assume you are an athlete or have money so you will be treated better especially by the women.
Bottom line reparations will not help if it's not structured the right way and there is racism everywhere. Remember most foreign countries get their ideas about blacks from U.S. media TV, music, news, etc. and that branding is not going to be overcome any time soon.
People that travel with money are looking at the world through the rose-colored glass and have no idea what it's like to be a darker-skinned or poor native of that country.

My kids are mixed. 15 yo girl and 10 yo boy. We live I. A predominately white neighborhood. I explain what can possibly happen but I tell them that I’m not going to tell them how they should react. But in any case I support them in however they decide to react to a racial situation. Being mixed has to be tough.

Just how Matt Barnes said he’s never white enough & he’s never black enough, it’s the same with us Mexican Americans. In America we are never considered “American” even if we are born here. And in Mexico we are not considered Mexican they look down on us as less Mexican we are too “American” it’s fucked up.

Its crazy how vlad keeps trying to act like that his computer science degree made him successful he just can't admit that he's successful off of black culture , I'm sure that you don't have to have a degree to become successful at interviewing black entertainers , and a free college education isn't going to benefit all blacks because what about the blacks who already have a degree or almost have their degree? And certain degrees are only profitable as long as there's a demand
