It’s no longer just a saying-it’s about having a healthcare system that’s there for us, when we need it, the most. India has taken a giant leap towards ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all, especially for the common man. One of the biggest steps in this journey is the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). This scheme has transformed healthcare in India by providing coverage to the most vulnerable, becoming the world’s largest health assurance program. In a major boost, the Union Cabinet recently expanded PM-JAY to cover all senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of income or background.
