Tip: put a towel under her paws. Cats don't like it when the floor is slippery. You will see cats then feel much more comfortable.

The first time I gave my kitten a bath she started crying and reaching for me so I gave in and gave her a hug. *WORST MISTAKE EVER* it was a trap she gripped on to me and I still have scars to this day.
(Update she passed away even tho the scars hurt at the time I'm sort of glad to have it as a memory)

She is smart. She made Coco comfortable first. And also Coco is a kitten which means if he gets comfortable he will still be liking bathing when he’s older.
So cute! Cats really love warm stuff so you should make more videos of this and see his reaction with different temperatures!
Vet advice: Cats don't usually need baths, but there are some exceptional circumstances. If they're rolled in something that they can't wash off themselves, or they have long hair which has become matted, a bath might be a good idea. Most cats really dislike baths and they can find the experience very stressful.
Some young cats take a while to learn how to clean themselves properly. So they stink like poop, which could probably be why she emphasized cleaning the kitten's bum 🤷🏾♀️. Cat's not dead. Think it'll be just fine a little soap and water never killed anyone...especially in these times 😬
dreamerdazegirl actually it harms your cat, you destroy barrier of their skin and make it more sensitive to sunlight and it opens the way to various very bad skin diseases.
I think it's a dwarf cat so basically when it's using the litter box it's stomach sometimes touches it so they want to clean it off
If as a munchkin his tummy gets soiled it would be best to just wipe the area with warm cloth, but he should clean it himself as he's young and healthy. soaking/bathing him is unnecessary and unpleasant for him.
Also he's gonna eat the soap off when cleaning herself and might get sick

I like the way she tries to get the cat comfortable first. Although, cats don't really need regular baths like this all the time because they regularly bathe themselves. I've only needed to bathe my cat a handful of times, after flea removal, once when he got some muddy/sticky pine on his fur, etc. Other than that, his own tongue does the job well, multiple times during the day. Cats are the cleanest animals on the planet.

to anyone who wants to try it at home:
get warm water so it’s comfortable
get a towel under the water where the cat should be standing so they have a solid and grippy ground
don’t let water flow while cat is inside
avoid loud noises
I think letting your cat chill in the sink/basin for a while first, with some treats and toys also helps; as they get a positive association with the place. Instead of it being new unfamiliar unpleasant place, it's a familiar pleasant place, that is just more wet.
Also, in general with handling your cat, never let them squirm out of your grasp; you should always be the one to put them down. If you let them squirm out, then they realize that's something that works, and will do it more; but if they understand that squirming isn't going to help, they won't do it as much. (That said, unless there is a good reason, if your cat wants to be put down you should put them down, respect their boundaries)

to prevent the cat getting really freaked out and to stop them scratching you, try putting a towel on the bottom. The cat won't slip anymore, and it will make them less scared.
