    Phil has a wonderful expression as a whistle player. Always a source for my own. Thank you so much! I bought a V5 myself after the appearance and I am very happy with it. It has completed my Low D collection. Perfectly balanced, very good also for beginners controllable and a great windy whistle sound. Thanks Phil!

    Phil's whistles are amazing, simply wonderful instruments! I love them! The V5 is a BIG step further from the V4.
    Now the V5 and the Kerry Pro Restricted are my darlings. Phil, thank you... and thanks for your tutorials!!!!!

    I just received one of these in the mail and I am transitioning from high D whistles (like most). Beautiful instrument and I really like the sound of it. I do find I have to push quite a bit in the high register or it really wants to jump back into the lower octave, but I am suspecting this may have to do with the fact that it's currently pretty cold in my apartment and this is more metal to warm up than I am used to ...?

    Hi Toby, Can you tell me how the breath volume compares to others? I forgot the model I got from Phil years ago but the air volume needed was too much for me. I like the mouth piece on this one. Your opinion and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @martinfilth2478

    Awesome playing. I recently bought this whistle, but my high notes sounds very “dirty and unclean”. Can it be the whistle, or am I just blowing wrongly? :O

    • @philhardywhistles
      @philhardywhistles  3 роки тому

      Make sure the air way is clear and it needs to be blown harder than a pennywhistle.

    • @philhardywhistles

      You get pitch adjustment which is handy if you are playing with other fixed instruments.

    • @philhardywhistles

      The V5 has a softer tome, the T'Bird is louder and richer.

    Wow, that's costly. I could get a real soprano Flute on Amazon for $100 or less, of course it has moving parts that may need maintenance after a year or two, but your Whistle is about $300 or more American dollars. Really nice sound, btw, which I think is the attraction to whistles. No pads and springs and levers make Whistles and primitive flutes have a cleaner sound. Is it chromatic?

    • @MalloryJay95
      @MalloryJay95 4 роки тому +3

      You cannot get a good flute for less than $100. I've been playing the flute for my whole life and I'd never consider getting a cheap instrument.
