At my age, it is unlikely that I will venture across the Atlantic to experience such a dream trip for myself so thank you for bringing me along by video. You mentioned the comfort of Sharpe and the Aubrey/Maturin books. I have started re-read of all the Sharpe books via audio and they make brilliant audiobooks. The narrator does all the accents so realistically (even to the Sean Bean imitation). I really liked the movie "Duchess" about Georgiana as portrayed by Keira Knightley so I hope you get the chance to see it.
This was great! I re-read WH for Victober and you looked so happy up there on the moors! I really see the sisters there and of course Cathy and Heathcliffe. I’ve read the first three Brontë mysteries and enjoyed them. Haven’t seen Napoleon yet but got the Andrew Roberts book. I’ve always wanted to go to Whitby for some reason. I love port cities and am interested in jet as well as the Dracula connection. You look rested now. Thanks for taking us along.
This is lovely! 😍♥️ Books and your travel. Awww! Pemberly! Sorry about the ticket mixup. The moors! 😮♥️This is totally my type of vacation - books, walks, and literary places. 😂Thank you for sharing.
I loved this Lisa! You have made me want to visit Yorkshire immediately! Dream bookish holiday - walking the moors, Haworth, visiting ‘Pemberley’ while listening to P & P! Brilliant stuff. I am feeling super Bronte hankerings at the moment as I watched an amazing video by Glutenberg Bible on why she loves Jane Eyre and now this. I may have to read Wuthering Heights again soon! Worn sounds fascinating and I’m really interested in Prophet Song. I really enjoyed the Georgiana film so would be good to hear your thoughts having read the biography. Great video!
Thanks Jack! It really was such a lovely part of the world and definitely i only saw the tiniest part - on one of the last day I drove from Haworth the Hebdon Bridge and it was so beautiful and I almost missed it. I’ll have to look at that video!
Haha three times for me too. I'd love to think this was associated with a love of history or literature. What a gorgeous trip. You looked so well and relaxed out walking.
This was lovely to watch! I've been to the Bronte Parsonage - and to Haworth and the moors - and this made me very much want to go back! Worn sounds really interesting, as does Prophet Song!
Thanks Grace! Glad you enjoyed - that’s an issue with me too I always want to go back to places which is hard when there’s so many new places to see as well 😊
Ah Lisa, a well deserved holiday for you and it looked wonderful! I love how many books you brought with you haha. I really would love to go and see all these Austen and Bronte sites as well some day!
It looks you had a great trip! There is nothing better than reading great books on a great trip.
Hi Lisa. Great to see you back. You look so chill. Not jealous at all. Nollaig Shona.

Thanks Aoife! It really was lovely and definitely I brought way too many books, would need 3 weeks lying on the beach at least for that 😂
Lovely vlog . I love Haworth in such a beautiful area. Some interesting books . Chatsworth is beautiful. I went at Christmas 🎄 a few years ago .
Thanks so much! It really is so beautiful, I’ll plan better next time! x
I've been to chatsworth and the grounds and gardens are 100% better than the inside, the inside is much like every other stately home
“To some extent, Bramwell, but he’s not very useful.” 😂😂😂
Hahaha typical man 😁
