It’s my first one with a top liner lock. I didn’t know much about them until I got this knife. But so far I’m digging it. Thanks for checking it out, bud.
I really dig mine so far. Has a lot of the things I like in a knife and I always dig that blade shape. I’m with you on the wire pocket clip as well, I like wire clips more than any other clip. I like the fact they are putting the top liner lock on a bunch of their knives too, way better than an axis lock imo. Great vid, thanks for going over this one!
@@allstarsteinman1 I’m glad to hear you’re liking yours so far! This is my first knife with a top liner lock, and so far I really like it. Thanks for watching!!!
I think it’s great! I tend to watch a lot of smaller creators videos. Since UA-cam is strictly just a hobby for most small creators, a lot of the stuff actually gets used. So I feel like you get someone who’s going to use the item for a while, versus open it up for a video and then never see it again. But obviously they don’t get as much exposure as the big channels do.
Can't wait... Mine is on the way. I have the Hedgehog and the Raccoon already. The Vosteed Raccoon is an amazing EDC...one of my favorites from Vosteed, and I feel like this one will be no different. Ever since I got the Spyderco Smock, the button actuated top liner lock has been my favorite locking system. Vosteed has really capitalized on Kevin Smocks pioneering ingenuity...something that Spyderco should've done years ago. Thankfully, Spyderco is FINALLY releasing other versions of their knives with the button-release compression lock/top liner lock. I just preordered the Spyderco Sage 6 button compression lock yesterday, and I couldn't be more excited to get it in my hand. I feel like this type of top liner locking system is gonna blow up very big this year…after all of Vosteeds success with their 2024 top liner locking knives, and I'm here for it.
What color did you get? I’ve still been liking this knife after a couple days of carry. For me personally I think I’m liking this one more than the raccoon so far. When you get it let me know what you think, if you remember.
@ I ordered the blue Micarta w/satin blade. I just really wanted the satin blade to be my first one. Might get another one if I like it enough and I’ll maybe swap the blades out. But sure thing…I’ll let you know how it feel about it when It arrives.
He does say button operated liner lock about 3 or 4 times after calling it a button lock. So it's not like he's left anyone feeling like he thinks it's a normal plunge button lock.
Good looking knife. I like the oversized pivot. I’m a fan of top liner locks too.

Amazing Vosteed is getting these smaller creators involved with prereleases

@stevesgear you did a nice job, I gave you a sub
Button operated compression lock...based on the Spyderco Smock.

Cool button lock..looks good..great vid
Thanks bud! I like this lock.
I'm excited for mine.
What color did you get?
@stevesgear black and white. It will be here Monday.
@ nice that black and white one looks sweet! You’ll have to let me know how you like it
@stevesgear Will do , I'll check back Monday assuming I can.
@stevesgear it's great so far. My hands can't reverse flick ,and I wouldn't mind a flipper tab but I'll get used to this real fast.
I want that sticker haha
@@CatalinaAzuaje it’s cute!
It's a top liner lock. Not a button lock. It's a different locking mechanism completely.
@@Everydaygary yeah I tried to articulate that it wasn’t a normal button lock, but I didn’t do a very good job haha.
