Even though I have plenty to do right now in the garden and orchard, this is making me want to buy some more plants, Angela. ☺️😎 Trying to hold firm and wait until fall!
Love your choices though! 👏👏👏 I've wanted a Red Twig Dogwood for ages. Vanilla Spice Summersweet - the name alone is enough to grow this! I have to cut back my Bottlebrush regularly (and severely) because it grows so fast and tall! You must have found a dwarf variety.
I understand your thought to take a "year off" normal gardening and get all your infrastructure set in place. Feeling overwhelmed or disappointed definitely can pull us down. Working on "just" your landscaping, flowers, herbs, a few veggies - that sounds really enjoyable and maybe just what you need! ❤
Hi, Kim! It's good to hear the bottlebrush grows quickly; I'm itching to fill these spaces in asap. I appreciate your kind comments and understanding about my thoughts for next year. We'll see how it plays out. Maybe I won't feel the same once seed-starting time comes around again, after the long, cold winter. ☺️
