Wrigley Field in Chicago, and Folsom Field in Boulder, are 2 stadium shows not to miss. I love crowd perspective videos at these shows because of the power the audience brings.
The energy of this Terrapin was certainly crowd fueled at its climax, and the band responded accordingly. This "Final Tour" for Dead & Company has been a bittersweet journey because the level of performance is so high night after night, yet we all know this is the end of a fragile rebirth.
Nothing of this magnitude Dead related will forseeably ever occur again in tour form. 2015 - 2023 will be remembered as the time the Grateful Dead was reborn thanks to Bob Weir and John Mayer. Many Deadheads' kids are now fully experienced in a scene that many thought was gone forever, at least on this scale. The sea of tie dyes and Dead shirts littering Michigan Avenue this beautiful summer weekend evidences a passion that rivals the fans of any sport's team in the world. The crowd chanting the lyrics to Terrapin here was almost as powerful as the band's performance. ⚡️🐢⚡️

Anyone hating on Mayer at this point is just afraid to admit that they like him. I mean, what more do you want from this guy? He clearly connects to and loves the music. This is coming from someone who was very suspicious of the choice years ago...
Mayer is the Clapton of this generation.
I play guitar too.... I jam, I sing, I'm a troubadour..... It takes time to learn the music, feel it and perfect it. John has definitely stepped in and Accomplished all that, and more!!! I'm looping the one , 3 times in a row!!!
I don't care what this man played before the dead he's taken this music to the next level and deserves all credit given to him. Bobby was next level to though, probably his best performances ever.🍄❤️✌️🥳

To the poster. Thank you. I’ve seen a lot of shows but being at this particular time and space was incredibly cathartic for me. Ive re-watched this clip a dozen times. Each time I get to re-live that moment.

I will not ever forget my first Terrapin from D&Co. Last show of 2015 tour. It is on UA-cam. Unbelievable. I have seen a show a year since. And, luckily the New Years’ Eve show 2019-2020 at Chase in SF. 3 sets.. 6 hours…. Every show has been different and amazing. I am grateful for the forward written regarding the end of this jaunt. It was huge. As you can see in the amount of heads in the stands. 40+K there to enjoy and remember….
