If you ever at all had a business of any sort, you will get those emails until the end of days, it feels like. Once you get your info put in one of those databases, they never stop selling it.
0:28, I have been on this planet for a couple of years now, and I can confirm that understanding the algorithm is just as hard as reading hindi, (or some other N.Indian language),
Imagine if content creators on UA-cam had their revenue leaked like on twitch, these “gurus” would be humbled so fast. But considering they’re like modern-day snake oil salesmen they’d find a way to make themselves look good regardless.
I can't believe we're the same age. I think you're the only youtuber I watch who's exactly the same age as me. Most are either younger or older by a few years.
20:25 2 seconds before I was just thinking… “is this being filmed on the set of Alfred Hitchcock’s the birds?”… AND THE THAT BIRD FLEW PAST!!!! Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh
I think all my videos have the character on the same side of the thumbnail. I spent a day going through the most popular videos on the most popular channels in my genre to see which side got more views. It was actually a huge diffrence surprisngly and defintely helped once I made the change. Thumbnails can seriously be wild.
I miss when UA-cam was just cool art and nerdy kids making funny videos before capitalism eroded the art form ://// there’s still hope tho. If I don’t engage in the mass produced shit maybe. Maybe.
Maybe I'm not big enough on UA-cam to experience any benefit, but from my experience most of the overthinking and analysis doesn't really do much. There's a lot of randomness. You could put effort into a thumbnail and get no views, or put no thumbnail and get a lot of views. I think some of the guru tips are either fabricated, or putting undue importance on the fluctuations of "the algorithm". IMO there's no single "Do this and your videos will immediately get millions of views".
For sure. I think until you get to a certain level you just need to focus on improving your content and post regularly. Success takes time, sometimes a lot of it.

Yes, I mostly make videos about astronomy nowdays, though most of them are shorts 😅
I remember just starting my channel, and watching so many of these in hopes of finally actually finding someone that could tell me something that might help me.
And it turns out there is no magic secret even though they all try to make you think they’ve found it 😢
I didn't realize that the course guy was called chem so I actually through that orr was calling him sham the entire video lmao, it would be s fitting name too so i didn't even question it
thank you for this video
i swear it all started with the paul brothers in 2016
Brutha Pine of the Ly clan, as an uncontrollably inconsistent fellow it took five years before you swayed me to subscribe. By reminding me to do it
very sad so many people fall for quick rich scams. if it sounds too good to be true then it is!
That guy at the like 13 min mark is like, using almost the same art style that my work uses for the online trainings wtf-
Maybe it's a template
The whole UA-cam guru thing depresses me, I thought this site was meant for funny cat videos
some of us still use it for that......the correct way!
Thanks for the kind reminder, I'm gonna go watch "squish that cat" after this video.
I only just stumbled on your channel recently, but man I absolutely love your content bro
Loved this series!! Would love to see you talk about Twitter & Elon Musk as another series, since there’s just SO much going on there
Close my eyes n listen to your videos they’re relaxing
You have the same birthday as mine, what's a surprise. Thank you for the tutorial though, now I know how to build my own course empire.
22:24 Is that the TENET soundtrack?
Bruh I’ve been getting so many spam messages about fixing my SEO n shit recently and I don’t even post on YT anymore 😂
If you ever at all had a business of any sort, you will get those emails until the end of days, it feels like. Once you get your info put in one of those databases, they never stop selling it.
0:28, I have been on this planet for a couple of years now, and I can confirm that understanding the algorithm is just as hard as reading hindi, (or some other N.Indian language),
you the realest not content farm doc youtuber Man i also found people like that like swoop and maggie may fish since that content farm video you also
I dont think anyone can figure out the algorithm cause the algorithm figures out your audience for you
Finally, Orr meets his opposite: Andd.
1:49 me making outlandish connections in my essays
Imagine if content creators on UA-cam had their revenue leaked like on twitch, these “gurus” would be humbled so fast. But considering they’re like modern-day snake oil salesmen they’d find a way to make themselves look good regardless.
i just ate a spoonful of trader joe’s brown sugar, anyways great video as always pinely
was it good
no fr dont leave us hangin
@@gemmonade_ it was alright
@@yuri-tq4ed kinda bland no real flavor besides sugar
One of my favourite recurring themes of your videos is going like "but you may say Oh Orr? (thats my actual name by the way)"
Why did I have to remind me memelous was a channel. My memory of how he was my favourite channel when I was like 12 was buried until now
Wow I knew I recognized that getup, been a while since I’ve seen memeulous somewhere
seriously its been like 4 years for me
Just realized you were using MF DOOMS Americas most blunted instrumental as background music at the beginning, that’s hype as hell
Love the old MF Doom background track🎉
Found it.
The twitter guy talking about real literally just discovered the message of the children book "The Velvatine Rabbit" and took it a bit too literally.
I can't believe we're the same age. I think you're the only youtuber I watch who's exactly the same age as me. Most are either younger or older by a few years.
I would LOVE a series on ai programs that "help" youtubers.
Thanks for the awesome content I have been binging all of your videos keep up the great work 😊
20:25 2 seconds before I was just thinking… “is this being filmed on the set of Alfred Hitchcock’s the birds?”… AND THE THAT BIRD FLEW PAST!!!!
Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh
3:12 well, that sentence aged like a fine wine
“Orr, you little shit” tickled me. Probably the delivery 😂
I think all my videos have the character on the same side of the thumbnail. I spent a day going through the most popular videos on the most popular channels in my genre to see which side got more views. It was actually a huge diffrence surprisngly and defintely helped once I made the change. Thumbnails can seriously be wild.
That is really interesting! Do you know why? (As someone in the field, maybe you have more insight)
Your next series should be about messed-up “kids” content online.
gotta love that MF DOOM/KMD background music in the beginning
I literally LOL'd at the billion dollar screenshot.
23:48 props to Pinely for sneaking a lil KMD into the background music
Hitting a tangent, but Chems almost sounds like "shams."
I miss when UA-cam was just cool art and nerdy kids making funny videos before capitalism eroded the art form ://// there’s still hope tho. If I don’t engage in the mass produced shit maybe. Maybe.
I like how much I can learn here. I even changed the locks on my front door following a yt tutorial!
The pickle rick video is good. I think it’s how I found your channel
Grim Fandango soundtrack BUSSIN
Someone give this man $100,000 so i can buy tickets to a full length Pickle Rick musical.
I'd have assumed it was a hard-K "Chems," (rather than "shims") - you know, same as the abbreviation "chems," such as in place of "chemicals"
I bet google will have to do smth with AI. Or it will be overrun by bad clickbait AI vids and normal channels will have real hard time growing.
I hope you will keep making these types of videos!
