I'm lucky enough to be in my Enjoy phase now. I was planning my big move for over 40 years. First attempt didn't work out so well, but determination and graft plus a heap of good fortune has put me where I am now. Never give up on the dream people!

I really enjoyed watching your vlog today Rick, it made me think of a work and career plan I made when I was being made redundant, I'm now 2 years into my end goal and maybe need to think of a new plan. Xx

Rick ,a very powerful video and i would say the plan was courageous cause it takes courage to say i am up rooting myself abroad for the greater good cause for one it might not have worked shelley might have stood you up and your heart will be aching to hug your children so you say choices which it was but a courageous one and chuffed it has worked out ,stay happy Rick

I am so proud of my kids, they all have plans wish seem to be flowering now, My Daughter spent years working with hearing aids and then trained to be an Audiologist. Next on her list was a baby, she is due in November and her and partner and moving into their new home next week. One of my Sons has spent 6 year on his Uni degree, he graduates next week with a first. My other son planned to travel around the world, which he did for 2 years then came back. He will come on holiday with us this year then he will go back to Australia. There he has a job, car and place to live waiting for him, his boss is paying his flight to get him back over. My plan ? To sit back with a glass of wine and wait to see if they need me.

Great vlog Rick. Very thought provoking. How do we arrive at where we are in life. How much was a plan. How much is sometimes down to decisions that others make that affect your life. And the plan changes.

There is no secret sauce to parenting, there is not a magic ingredient. There is not just one thing that we need to do. If there was, it would be a heck of a lot easier, its vital though that we are with them every step to love, support, challenge, making sure we acknowledge and appreciate the life choices they do make. You're a lucky man Rick, you've been through the mill, but the end result is what you always wanted, 2 happy, healthy daughters living their best life. That's a bloody good job well done I'd say. ❤️❤️

😥,god bless Alice,and Meg.❤.helped yurself which I turned helped your kids.Meg doing great and wee dame finding her passion.yur plan is finally coming to fruition.goodness if I’m still alive in 6 years my plan will too come to fruition 😂.59 this year and work is a total drag.we plan to retire/semi in Spain somewhere but it’s all the somewhere and some what’s that holding us back.I do need to make a commitment to do and make a plan,FEAR IS MY ENEMY.

I love a plan. When you are younger or need a focus a plan is a must. My current plan is shorter term. Such as, we often say to friends, yeh we will do such and such. If you don’t plan, it doesn’t happen generally. So my plan is the next meet up etc. dates in diaries. But, to change your life, a plan is essential. Even a five year plan will be reviewed and updated, but it’s a vision or goal. Your plan maybe didn’t envisage your girls joining you at first but that was incorporated as the plan moved on. Love it Rick. My current plan is plan is to be over on the reef in September. Not changing that at all 👍

Hi Rick, a thought provoking vlog for me. I love a Plan, but when it comes to putting into practice i am rubbish ! You are so methodical puts me to shame, i wish i had some of your determination. We adopted two boys (brothers) from a very young age, now in their late twenties. Both inherited mental health problems, which we were unaware of at time of adopting ! If we had been told this at the time we could have perhaps put a 'Plan' in place which may have helped
us navigate the very hard road as parents we have been on ! As you can imagine (a long story Rick) and still on going with the youngest ! Thank you again and take care. 🙏.
