- CNN is at the US border in Texas where migrants could be seen swimming and walking around a floating barrier that the Justice Department claims violates federal law. The DOJ gave Texas a deadline of Monday at 2 p.m. ET to commit to the removal of the floating border barriers or face legal action, according to a letter sent to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. Under the rules of asylum, you were supposed to seek asylum in the first safe country you enter after fleeing yours. Asylum seekers show up at a port of entry or an embassy and apply before setting foot in the country. We have laws in place to protect our citizens, protect our economy, and allowing unchecked immigration puts all of it at risk. Everybody’s already complaining about housing shortages, healthcare shortages, food shortages, power shortages, overcrowding of cities, overcrowding of infrastructure, overtaxed sewage treatment facilities, water shortages, overcrowding of schools. Granted not every area is facing every problem but how can you justify allowing in more people when our infrastructure cannot even meet the needs of the people already here? We have a homeless epidemic of American citizens yet people care more about people who aren’t even supposed to be here. There is not a single argument that positively supports allowing in all these people. Even worse many of these people coming in illegally have no intention of assimilating into American culture so now you have cultures that clash . A multicultural country that runs smoothly is a myth.

This makes me so mad. My great grandparents would come visit from Mexico once a year to see my grandmother. They took the time, while still living in Mexico to study and inevitably take their American citizenship test. At 87 & 89 years old they became American Citizens. It took so much time,money, and hard work to be able to be here legally and unfortunately they passed away before they even got the chance to actually make a life here. They died in Mexico as American Citizens.

My boyfriend is a diagnostic. radiologist from India, he contributes every day to the lives and wellbeing of people in this country, he pays his taxes. In 2012 he filed for a green card and he’s still waiting. Everything he has he built up from hard work. So many people can come here and just be in this nation with so little work and contribute practically nothing. I’m not saying all migrants won’t contribute, but with these numbers we know many of them will not. Our nation and especially the border states are going to have to fight to maintain what we have. We need to focus on bringing in people who will build this country up, not upend and replace our culture.

Ook I worked in a bar in downtown Orlando dealt with a lot of men that worked through the labor pool, those people choose to be homeless so that they did not want the responsibility of rent, utilities etc. Most people that are homeless about 80% choose that option, the other 20% bad decisions or financial situation. And of course we have those with mental issues since the government shut down those institutions back in the Bush administation. Can't fix a problem when people don't want the help or resources.

Once they get here, I found that they automatically get cash payments from local state and federal agencies that provide welfare. In addition to the NGO’S that sometimes provide additional cash payments. Clothing, housing, food, utilities….. the list goes on indefinitely. Oh I forgot, that they also get free Education, at the Elementary, High school and university level education. My big Argument is that the migrants are taking up available slots, especially at the college level, that are in high demand for United States Citizens and Legal residents. That they do not speak English placing an undue hardship on a already overburdened educational system. The migrants already receive an unfair share of educational benefits due mainly to their inability to speak, read or write English.
